However, surveillance cameras have been installed for these areas. - If you want to pay in euros, you get a very bad exchange rate. (Why in the whole place (Cheb) the Euro is accepted at a fair rate)nice area/place but very profit-orientedThere are too many rules and regulations that are posted everywhere. You get the impression that the aim is simply to maximize profits by reducing the amount of staff required.
I also think the rule that no electric heating plates should be used is excessive. The guests pay for the electricity connection... depending on the pitch. The sanitary facilities are clean and friendly at first glance. But if you take a closer look, you will see that the showers and the joints between the tiles are in urgent need of renewal. The hygiene/cleaning is probably more superficial than hygienically clean. The size of the showers is also no longer in keeping with the times. They are very narrow and so you inevitably come into contact with the unhygienic walls when getting dressed/undressed or drying off.
The water jet/water volume when showering is more like a spray mist or the amount that comes out of the on-board shower of the motorhome/caravan. The women's toilets are also very cramped, so please dear women do yoga beforehand or go to wash house 2.
Wifi is not available on the entire site. The more expensive lakeside pitches in particular have no reception, but surveillance cameras have been installed in the trees for this area.
The "restaurant", which is actually just a kiosk serving food, is not always open and the prices are clearly too expensive compared to real restaurants in Cheb with service and comfort.
There is a lounge with a terrace by the playground. You can use the tables and benches here, but you can't eat or drink anything. So not allowed for hikers or cyclists with tents who need something like this.
We got on well with the receptionist, although it was noticeable that she ran a tight ship.
Conclusion: A visually beautiful and quiet place.

Thank you for your review. Guests who behave normally do not need to read rules and regulations, it is not clear from your review which group you belong to. WLAN on the premises is free of charge, as it is simply not technically possible to cover all areas, this information is clearly... stated at reception. It is not clear from your report whether you came for WiFi or camping. Our staff will be happy to recommend suitable pitches with very good reception. The currency in the Czech Republic is still CZK, which is logically preferred, the guest decides whether to pay in CZK or EUR. We were given a very large pitch for our 8m x 2.50m camper van. They try to fulfill all camper wishes.
The sanitary facilities are clean and in good order. The site is quiet... from 10.00 pm. You have to be back from your excursion/dinner by then, otherwise you can only enter the site with an exception. But that can be arranged.
It's not far to Cheb/Eger. A trip to Marienbad/Carlsbad is recommended.
The access road alone is very narrow in some places. Sometimes 2 caravans/ motorhomes cannot fit past each other. Reversing has to be learned.
The site is located directly on the reservoir and has its own beach/ sunbathing lawn.

We wanted to stay longer but left after 6 days, especially as we had to pay around €36.50 for one day and card payment was not possible. The site was only sparsely occupied at this time and all the guests seemed to enjoy the peace and quiet on the site. We found a place to relax here and... at the same time we were able to explore the interesting surroundings. Although the railroad line runs almost directly past the site, it is not very busy and therefore rarely disturbs the peace and quiet. However, the pitches on the top floor and near the train line get a little more of it. The sanitary facilities were kept very clean and the whole site made a very well-kept impression. The staff were very friendly. WLAN is not available in usable quality on the whole site. For 4 people on beach pitch XL, cash payment in EUR is around EUR 55 / night. Credit card payment is not possible, exchange rate on site EUR/CZK 23.00 moderate (for comparison exchange rate credit card at that time 25.81).Автоматично преведено.

The site is rightly called "Best campsite in the Czech Republic" as described in Caravaning magazine back in 2012. A very, very clean site with sufficient sanitary facilities which are constantly cleaned. Pitches directly... on the shore of the lake, all others parceled out on flat meadow areas and partly separated with shrubs. The entire green area is generally well maintained. There is a large playground for the little ones as well as a football pitch and volleyball court. A kiosk with a wide range of products and a restaurant with a lakeside terrace round off the impression. The staff are always friendly and approachable. We can only recommend the site. The train station is on the... doorstep, Cheb and the surrounding area were a dream for us culturally interested people: half-timbered houses, museums and lots of nature.
