Unfriendly rebuff at the reception desk
Not suitable for dog owners
We wanted to check in at the campsite after receiving a positive email reply that there were still places available, but were turned away by a very resolute lady at reception with the words that she had already experienced very bad things with animals and their owners and could allow herself the luxury... of no longer accepting such people. OK, we are 50 years old and have been responsible dog owners for many years - we didn't think that was fair. But we allowed ourselves the luxury and spent our money at the Eigernordwand campsite, which is certainly no worse than this one.
After our experience at reception, we can well imagine that you feel under constant surveillance on this campsite, as you can read elsewhere here. Nobody really needs a conversation like that - and certainly not on vacation ;-)

An extremely pleasant place
We received a very friendly and professional welcome from the campsite operator and were given lots of useful tips for hikes and excursions. The pitches are also big enough for larger motorhomes. The infrastructure is very clean and partly newly renovated. Bread rolls can be pre-ordered at reception.... There is a Migros shopping center in Gydisdorf, which can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes. The post bus stop is right next to the campsite. We would like to come back and thank you very much for your hospitality

Hiking in the fall
Great view, quiet and secluded place away from the hustle and bustle. Friendly and helpful reception with good tips for great hiking tours. Sanitary facilities are well maintained and clean. We had a good rest and made many impressive and unforgettable tours.

Nice & friendly
A nice little campsite below the north face of the Eiger. Very nice operators, who have really good hiking tips and recommendations for the mountain railroads. We were therefore able to set off immediately and felt very comfortable.

Camping Glacier Village
We have never experienced a more unfriendly reception in all our years as campers. The campsite manager simply failed to do her job. If the site wasn't so impressively convenient, it certainly wouldn't be so busy. No soap in the toilet at 48€ and the common rooms are littered with regulation boards.... We did not find any hospitality here and would not recommend the site to others. This is especially true for dog owners, even if the dog is well behaved and the owners are not guilty of anything.

Small, well located, great view
Two of us were there for a hike. Good location with a great view of the north face of the Eiger. The operators are very friendly. The sanitary facilities are small, but were perfectly adequate. It wasn't full even in July. There is a bread roll service with advance booking. In bad weather, campers can eat and cook in a kind of lounge.

Very good location!
...that there should be a few more showers/toilets has already been mentioned. Otherwise, the facilities are spotlessly clean, bread roll service, exorbitant views of the surrounding mountains, short distances to the village center and all the important "hotspots" in this vacation resort.

Hospitality obviously for German campers very bad manners and expressions. Will never come back as you feel like you are being watched the whole time.

Very clean sanitary facilities. Local bus right next to the campsite. Fantastic location directly below the Eiger and Wetterhorn with a view of the glacier.

Small but nice campsite
My caravan is parked on this site over the winter (1.11.15-30.4.16). Ideal starting point for skiing, cross-country skiing or winter hiking. Directly on the cross-country ski trail and bus to the Grindelwald First, Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg mountain railroads. Very friendly owners.

Small mountain campsite
We only stayed at the campsite for 2 nights The location is very nice, view of the Eiger and Mänlichen. The sanitary facilities were clean but far too small, only two showers and three toilets. The access road is very narrow but relatively clear. Two caravans cannot cross each other. The staff were very... friendly and helpful. They also provided lots of information about activities in the area. All in all, a lovely, well-kept campsite with friendly staff. We will certainly spend a weekend here again.

Access by caravan is quite difficult on the narrow road with a hairpin bend at the entrance to the campsite
With excellent scenery on the horizon, camping here is a pleasure.
Situated on the banks of a rather winding river, the campsites offer you a dream view. The campsite manager's suspiciousness is quite disturbing for tourists.
