It was free and only the premium seats were taken. The bathrooms were clean. We found a spot under the trees. The campground was pretty quiet. We really liked the campsites in Croatia, but found this one too impersonal and chain-like.
For a night's stop before going to the park, it's fine, with clean sanitary facilities.

A beautiful, natural campsite, quite hilly and sloping in places. But everyone will find a spot here. Suitable for campers of all kinds, tents, large mobile homes, self-sufficient campers etc.
Some seating areas were... set up.
Restaurant on site, food very good, but service a bit slow and forgetful..... a pity. It took ages to ask for ketchup, the chips were almost gone and cold..... Unfortunately it also took a long time for drinks, not really attentive as to whether you still had a wish.
Shuttle bus goes to the Plitvice Lakes, dogs are NOT allowed on it!
So we had to unplug our motorhome again and drive there.
You have to leave early enough, otherwise it gets crowded there.

Here you can find your own spot under trees on hills or in hollows. With a camper van, many pitches are out of the question due to lack of space. With a motorhome that is not too big, you have an advantage here. However, these also like to use... the path that actually leads to the pitches as a parking space.
Overall, it all looks like mass tourism: The whole world arrives, wanders around the lakes and is gone again after one or two nights at the latest. No atmosphere, nothing personal.
I also found it strange that the ID cards were retained for the duration of the stay and were only handed back on payment.
Certainly OK for an overnight stay near the lakes (late arrivals are apparently also possible), but it's not really nice.Автоматично преведено.

This also runs back at 17:00.
The site offers different pitches, some on the meadow and some in the forest. Due to the size of the site, the paths are sometimes longer,... but everything is within easy walking distance.
The sanitary buildings are clean and spotless. There are simple chrome steel basins for washing up without a shelf. This quickly becomes complicated when the campsite is very busy and is not well thought out.
The small market on the site offers everything you need for a few nights. If you want more, there is a Tommy market a few hundred meters outside the campsite with a wide range of products.
What really worried us were the electrical distribution boards, some of which were outdated and falling apart. Action is needed here!
We actually wanted to stay three nights. However, the weather changed dramatically and we had to leave at short notice. This was accepted by the campsite at no extra cost and in a very accommodating manner.

We felt very comfortable in the extensive park area. At this time of year, we had a wide choice of pitches and had plenty of space between us and the nearest campers. The sanitary facilities were high quality... and clean. Only some of the restaurants and markets were open, which also contributed to the peace and quiet.
An ideal place for a visit to the Plitvice Lakes.
Our experience of the extraordinarily impressive Plitvice Lakes, which were already very busy in mid-May:
Buy a 2-day ticket online, visit the lower part with the large waterfall in the late afternoon on the first day with few visitors at this time. On the second day, start at 7 a.m. at entrance 2 - we were the only passengers in the first boat - and walk the K-route clockwise, i.e. against the recommended walking direction. This way, you have the most frequently visited sections of the route behind you by the time the crowds arrive at 9am. You will hardly meet anyone on the other extensive paths of the K-Route, as this route is too far for most visitors.Автоматично преведено.

Dishwashing facilities = poor planningPerfect for an overnight stay and a visit to Plitvice NPCP with a reception that takes some getting used to, with free choice of pitches in a spacious area, just a few km from Plitvice NP. Beautiful, individual pitches on the site, available both on meadows and in the forest, water and electricity connections not available on all pitches, but this is interesting... for self-sufficient campers and sometimes comes close to free camping in nature. The sanitary buildings were clean but sometimes quite remote. The planner who designed the dishwashing facilities was definitely not a camper 😉.
Perfect for visiting and exploring the beautiful Plitvice NP. A free bus shuttle operated by the CP takes visitors from the entrance of the CP to entrance 1 of the NP, so no car or bike is needed. Good restaurant on site. Waitress takes a long time to order, deliver and then bring the bill. I had to ask three times.
Only problem with payment. We had clarified and booked everything in advance online. The prices quoted at reception were completely different and we would have had to pay a lot more.
We then referred to our booking documents and simply left. At no extra charge! Extremely unreasonable and unfriendly. Especially the older lady at reception. A younger one sits in the background and just looks at her cell phone and the gentleman the night before was very nice and friendly and even invited us in instead of waiting outside until daybreak to check inАвтоматично преведено.

The spacious campsite is located in a beautiful, natural park. Whether sunny or shady, everyone will find a spot here. The pitches for caravans/motorhomes are mostly concreted and offer the advantage of a mostly flat surface. We stood under... a large birch tree - a source of shade at 30°C in late summer. But when the weather changed with cold and rain, the pitch showed its negative side: countless birch bugs made themselves at home in every possible crevice of the caravan, camping chairs etc.. Despite hunting for these stinky creatures several times a day, we still found some after 2 weeks.
The campsite was deserted due to the coronavirus. Fortunately for us, the restaurant and supermarket were still open, and the shuttle bus also drove to the upper entrance to Plitvice Lakes on time and picked us up again at 5 pm. The sanitary facilities were clean. Whether it's a mountain view from the roof tent or on the hard pitch enclosed between motorhome walls; whether it's away from all media connections or close to the all-important WiFi - everyone gets their own here!... Electricity and water connections are sometimes far away, electricity is not available everywhere on the site, water has been extended. Be sure to bring wedges, there is hardly a flat surface to be found. Sanitary facilities are constantly kept clean and are in very good condition. The site is very clean overall. There is a restaurant on site. The food was good twice and once it was rubbish, probably depends on the chef present. Recommended on the way to the lakes.Автоматично преведено.

It was a little expensive for what it had to offer, 30€ a night for two people and a camper van. It does offer the shuttle bus to Plitvice National Park, but be warned, getting to the park at 9:15/9:30 is too late. You will have to stand on line for at least 2 hours.... The bus also drives to Entrance 2, but I’m not sure if you can buy tickets there or if it’s faster. The layout of the campground was nice, you can choose your own spot and there were a few different area types. (Lots of trees, up on a hill, open field area). It is, however, a little loud. It is located right next to the main road, so even at night you can hear the cars. It’s not terrible, but certainly not the most peaceful The bathrooms were always very clean and well kept. Always had soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. The grocery store is surprisingly small, considering the mass amount of land they have. It has most of the basics but I was a little disappointed with the selection. We didn’t go to the restaurant, but the little Imbiss there took ages. For some reason they only had two people working and it took over 40 minutes to get our order of sausages and fries... The biggest downside though was really the lack of swimming. There is technically a river that flows near the campsite, but it was all dried up, and there is nothing else in the area where you can swim.

Korana is a charming, unparceled, natural site in hilly terrain. When we arrived in the evening, it was difficult to find a place for our caravan, as it had obviously rained beforehand and the dry, somewhat flat areas of the hilly terrain were... already occupied. In other places in hollows there was water or it was muddy under trees. We then found a relatively level pitch that wasn't quite so muddy near a sanitary building. The sanitary facilities were in a very clean condition during our stay. There is also a restaurant and shopping facilities on the site. It is approx. 6 km to Entrance 1 at the large waterfall.
