Beautiful pitches with a variety of trees, partly opaque hedges, mostly lawn, walking distance to Île Rousse, friendly staff, excellent water pressure in the shower.

The rear sanitary building is getting on in years, but we still had the impression that it was clean. Path to the beach partly bumpy over rocks and a little longer, but doable.
Love at second sight
We were at the campsite in mid-May.
To cut a long story short: it was really good.
The campsite was almost empty and we had three nights of fantastic peace and quiet.
We were able to test the sandy beach, which is about 300 meters to the left of the campsite.
We went on city tours and spent time on the... campsite.
It was a shame that there was no store or restaurant on the site. But there is a store with a bakery 50 meters down the main road. The small pub on the square closes very early when we were there, which made it impossible to visit. However, the opening hours are probably adjusted to the season.
The front sanitary building was definitely our priority choice, as the rear one is clearly getting on in years.
All in all, we would be happy to return.

Hiking in the Maccia
We spent 10 days here hiking in the surrounding area. We were free to choose a pitch. The site is beautifully landscaped with trees and hedges. There is an extensive network of hiking trails in the immediate vicinity, which are very well signposted. Shopping is possible in the village. The sanitary facilities... look dated, but are cleaned daily. However, there were cobwebs etc. in the corners, but it was only just the start of the season. Only cold or lukewarm water for washing up. Even in the showers only halfway lukewarm, but that won't bother anyone in summer. You can hear the road even in the furthest part. Particularly unpleasant in a tent. The staff were very friendly and courteous.

Quiet place near Ille Rousse
This CP is located on the outskirts of Ille Rousse (15 min. walk to the center). The reception speaks very good English but is closed over lunchtime. The pitches are parceled out by high bushes and hedges and can be chosen freely. The sanitary facilities are larger than average and very clean, although... of an older design. There is a free freezer for ice packs. There is no store, but baguettes can be bought at the bar in the morning. In the evening there is pizza and occasional entertainment. The narrow beach can be reached via a path. Overall, a nice place to explore Ille Rousse and the surrounding area.

Beach access not quite ideal
Beautiful campsite!
The campsite is on the edge of the town, a short walk and you are in the life of the town with restaurants and shopping facilities. The campsite is quite large and is open 24 hours a day. The pitches are generously parceled out and are all shaded by hedges and trees. The access to the beach (stony) slopes... slightly down to the sea and you still have to cross the tracks, it takes about 5 minutes. The sanitary facilities are well distributed and in good condition. They are also cleaned regularly. There are also washing machines (one of the few campsites we have seen in Corsica). Recommended.

Exposed spots with great views

Stay away from the national road as it is noisy. In strong winds, make sure your pitch is exposed.
Good price/performance ratio, some very nice pitches with good views
We were there for a week in summer 2013 and had a fantastic view of the Maritime Alps (120km) after a strong wind. The sea and the sandy beach fully compensated for the 600m walk there; it's a blast. The site deserves its 2 stars because of its location.
