Camping on a hill near the beach
A simple and inexpensive campsite. The pitches are located on a hill, some offer a fantastic view of the sea or the nearby airfield, from where parachutists take to the skies at weekends. The ratio of mobile homes and tourist pitches is still balanced here, you still feel like you are on a campsite....
There are several sanitary facilities. When we were there in the low season, only one of them, at the top of the hill, was open, but it was perfectly adequate. It was very basic and getting on in years, but at least the inside was freshly painted. You have to make friends with toilets without glasses.
Electricity connections are available everywhere, but you have to walk to the sanitary building for water. Gray water and chemical toilets could be disposed of at a second, more distant sanitary building.
There are restaurants and snack bars right next to the site, but most of them were only open at weekends in the low season.
Despite some disadvantages, we felt comfortable on the pitch.

Simple place in a fantastic location
A beautifully situated urban campsite directly behind the dunes. The beach is only 5 minutes away.
The pitches are on Wise in a slightly hilly area with a few trees. All pitches are unparcelled. Some electricity connections are available; you just have to position yourself so that the cable is long enough....
The sanitary facilities are of the "simplest French standard".
There is no bread service/shop/restaurant or similar. But you can find all this within walking distance of the site.
If you want to watch airplanes, you will be happy about the 8 take-offs and landings of the neighboring sports airfield (not really disturbing...).
If you can cope with the simple sanitary facilities, you have found a very relaxed campsite in a great area in a prime beach location.
