Selling canned corn on iceberg lettuce with half a deep-fried chicken schnitzel... as a fried chicken for €12.90 is a plank! And all the pizzas are torn out of the frozen foil and immediately find their "satisfied" customers for a similar price.
The location, as I said, is good for travelers passing through and people who want to visit Villach. And the sanitary facilities are great! I would like to expressly mention the extremely friendly welcome and the unbureaucratic allocation of the pitch. Very clean, quiet, clear and warm water by the lake. Only the very high prices for bread rolls etc. give cause for... criticism. But there are a few supermarkets with bakeries nearby where you can buy your own food. We will be back! Update 2018: we stayed at Camping Seehof again on our way to Croatia. Simple, but very clean like last year. Good food. Nice operator. Will be back again. We (2 adults + 2 children) visited this campsite for one night on our way to Croatia. The site is beautifully situated on a small bathing lake, surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. The site is mainly occupied by permanent campers, so there is relatively little space available for people passing through. We had to uncouple our car due to the cramped conditions, but this was no problem. The sanitary building is newly built and is accordingly modern and generously equipped. The flushing system takes some getting used to, as you have to wash up in a stainless steel channel. There is a restaurant at the campsite itself where you can eat well and cheaply. Access to the lake is via a gravel path. There is a sunbathing lawn right by the lake. The reception staff were friendly and straightforward. Reservations in advance (even for one night) are possible by telephone. There are plenty of shops in the village. Conclusion: small, fine campsite in a nice environment, quiet location and good connection to the Tauern highway. Ideal for passing through or for a short vacation. Camping Seehof gets an honest and well-intentioned 4 stars from me. And it feels like anyone who pays is allowed in. Pure chaos at the registration desk. Sometimes three people share a pitch on the site and stand so close together that the neighbor can no longer open his window. A road runs directly... in front of the pitch, which is very noisy. Sanitary facilities are relatively new and attractive, but 4 showers and 4 toilets per gender is a bit sparse for such a large pitch. Water has to walk a few meters. The campsite is otherwise very... clean. You can hear the main road that runs past the campsite. We can't say much about the surrounding area as we were only passing through. We walked around the lake once with our dogs, and the dogs can swim at a small spot on the lake.
