Arrived with the camper van, booked a comfortable pitch and then drove to the pitch. The signposting of the pitches is puzzling.
Another camper colleague had filled three quarters of our pitch. So as not to cause any stress late in the evening, we squeezed our Crafter (8.10 m... with rear bike rack) between the half-occupied pitch and a free one. The next day we raised the problem at reception and got the answer.........
Someone must have been standing the wrong way round...... according to the motto.... If you are the son of God, help yourself.... There was no sense of responsibility to solve the problem. THANK YOU for NOTHING.
We then decided to leave the site after two nights and moved on towards the North Sea.
Conclusion. We had to spend one night there...... the sanitary facilities appeared clean at first glance, but there was mold in the showers and it splashed everywhere.
As for finding... a pitch, we were sent off with the words.... pick a pitch and then come back. When we arrived back at reception, suddenly all the pitches were reserved.... hello, what's going on? Are you still okay? Why should I look at the pitches beforehand?
This CP doesn't see me anymore, we paid 58 euros for a pitch, 2 people, electricity.
Large beer, one p. of fries, one currywurst and POmmes 20 euros....
Never again....

Cleanliness of the siteНегативиPricingGood location but clearly too expensiveWe visited the campsite for 3 nights. We particularly liked the location, as there are countless leisure opportunities. The pitch (comfort) was large enough and had electricity/water/waste water. What we didn't like so much about the campsite was the pricing. We were charged 37 euros for the comfort... pitch with a camper van and 2 adults, plus a flat-rate electricity charge of 4 euros, making a total of 41 euros per day (excluding tourist tax). We found it annoying that we also had to pay for showers and hot water for washing dishes. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior can be found on more and more campsites in Germany. The same applies to the prices for sandwiches (1 euro) or a beer at the snack stand (5 euros), for example, and in a disposable plastic cup.Автоматично преведено.

Beautiful location - we had a pitch right on the lake and in our part there were trees everywhere for a nice atmosphere. Site offers everything you need. The staff are friendly and accommodating - problems were solved very quickly.
What bothered... us were the premium pitch and dog-friendly ratings that the site advertises.
Dogs:
The dog is not allowed in ANY of the buildings - and therefore NOT IN THE RESTAURANT. So we didn't get any food at the campsite in the evening. The local pizza delivery service saved us. For a campsite that describes itself as dog-friendly, that's unacceptable.
The dog could have been tied up in a dog parking lot - ok for getting bread rolls - but certainly not for going to a restaurant.
Sanitary: the facilities are obviously quite new and modern - but unfortunately anything but clean. It was cleaned superficially, but there was several days' worth of dirt in the joints. The showers were covered in mold and the shelves for shower gel were rusty. The water stood in the anteroom after showering, which was due to the fact that the showers, as well as the taps, splashed in all directions. The toilets smelled very unpleasant throughout. The lack of basic cleanliness was also evident in the dishwashing rooms and the washing machine shed.
Pricing policy:
Water is charged in addition to the basic price. Not only for showering, but also for washing dishes. That's almost cheeky considering the prices for the space. If you have used too much water for the washing machine and the card is empty, you are left with no water at all for showering. You constantly have to make sure that you have enough money on your card. I don't think that's up to date any more.
There is only one recycling point for the whole site in front of reception.

The reception staff were very nice.
As always, I went to see how to use the sanitary facilities. I immediately noticed that there must be an overflowing ashtray at the little house where the washing up is done, where the groundsman and the other... employees must also have their rooms, at least there was an overflowing ashtray on the table where they probably take their breaks etc. I smoked for decades myself, but it's disgusting! Not safe for small children either. As I said, at first glance the sanitary facilities looked clean, I should probably have left the second one alone, there were no traces of fellow campers! The showers weren't as clean as they should have been either. I also found it very unpleasant that the garbage cans in the showers had no bin liners, which was also an imposition for the cleaning staff. There is an old wooden pillar with a sign in front of the washing-up house, which doesn't look very nice either, and the view of an inner courtyard with machines, garbage and??? was just "that's not possible for such a degraded place".
The fact that the man, who probably rents out boats there, leaves his dog there......., looks brazenly at a passing mother with a child and I also pass by, didn't interest him, of course the site operator can't help it. Behavior like this doesn't make it any easier for dog owners.
It's a shame, the site was certainly very nice once, but in my opinion it has remained at the old level. In the beginning we were very satisfied and liked it very much, but now everything has slowed down a bit, but the prices have gone up. You can't sit at the snack bar when it rains, although there are large umbrellas, but according to the staff there, they are all broken and can no longer be put up.

Almost all pitches have their own electricity and water connections. The pitches are very spacious. The staff, especially the reception, are exceptionally friendly, helpful and very customer-oriented. The sanitary facilities are super clean. The campsite's own store is well stocked and you can get all the other things you need in various supermarkets within walking distance (just under a kilometer away). Various cycle paths are nearby and well signposted. The picturesque old town is also only about 3 kilometers away.НегативиAbsolutely nothing!This is how camping should be!You can only feel good at this campsite!!! Starting with the large pitches, the super clean sanitary facilities, the incredible nature all around, the inviting restaurant, a well-stocked store and the incredibly friendly, committed and extremely competent staff! We were pleasantly surprised.
The site is very conveniently located near Waren. You can cycle along the Müritz right into the town.
There is a sports boat rental and a harbor right next to the campsite. We found... this very good, as you don't have to search long for a rental company and we have already had bad experiences with the boat rental company in Eldenburg in the surrounding area. Kamerun boat hire is a lot cheaper than the competition.
The sanitary facilities are really very clean and well maintained. The only small drawback is that showering and washing up costs money. Converted but only 0.20 euros for 1 minute of hot showers. I think this is due to the location on the public cycle path, as otherwise anyone could pitch their tent and take a shower. The sanitary facilities and wash-up houses are also only accessible with a ticket. In this respect, the money is bearable.
The pitches are relatively large compared to other campsites. We had a 100m2 comfort pitch near the reception and the motorhome port. There are few trees here, making it easy to maneuver with large motorhomes or caravans. Unfortunately, you can hear the main road here at night. There are not many cars driving at night, but if you are sensitive to this, you should look for a place in the wooded part at the back of the site from pitch number 515.
The Kamerun Lodge restaurant has really great food. The prices are good for the quality.
The self-service store has a large selection of food, drinks, magazines, bread rolls, camping accessories and food from a regional farm called "Kunst". I can only recommend these groceries. (Egg liqueur and eggs)

The site is quite close to Waren, very quiet and nothing special. Don't be fooled by the 5* on the logo :-). The motorhome pitches are on grass/sand and very uneven and always sloping, which are sometimes difficult to level even... with wedges. We found the vaunted WiFi but that was about it. The performance of the WLan is close to zero. Either way, our experience was very negative. We took a look at the place on a walk and can say "nothing for us", "nothing special" and "you can expect more for the money". All sandy paths, simple, sometimes very unkempt meadow. The beach is very small for guests. Despite the high price, you can pay for everything. When washing up you can watch the cents roll in. As we don't use or need sanitary facilities, we think it's just too expensive. It's interesting that the link to Camping.info doesn't end up here, but at the German Tourism Association.
