Great lake with swimming access for your four-legged friend. Quiet. Gastro is also good (unfortunately often fully booked). Four stars because the sanitary facilities are actually nice, but unfortunately not quite as clean. The toilet at the back (near the beer garden) left a lot to... be desired. We arrived on Sunday lunchtime and it was already quite dirty, unfortunately still so on Monday evening. Otherwise really nice, almost all the seats have a view of the lake. The latter two do not have their own sanitary facilities, so you have to use the ones at the beach bar. If you have more time, you can either go to the barrier or to the campsite itself. This is also... where you will find the machine for cleaning cassettes. We received a very friendly welcome here, moved into our pitch, had a look around and went to Seaside. We had a delicious meal here and then enjoyed the evening on the beach. An all-round successful part of an extended weekend. We had a great pitch in the first row to the lake. The online booking went smoothly. Check-in is from 12pm to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm. We were there just before 1pm and received a very friendly welcome.... In the evening we were rewarded with a beautiful sunset. It was a great first camping stay. Although only for one night, it was not our last time there. Highly recommended. Learn: never trust the sat nav, because there is a great connection from the campsite to the A93!
When we arrived, we received a very friendly welcome and were delighted with the pitch assigned... to us right by the lake. Sufficiently large, but without water and waste water connections. The power cable should be longer than 15 m! Sanitary facilities (somewhat dated, but were cleaned several times a day (and the campsite operator can't help the piglets among the users). Several bathing spots on the lake, clear and clean water invites you to swim. We ate several times in the nice restaurant right by the lake. There are many beautiful cycling and hiking trails in the Upper Palatinate Forest. Golf fans can play a round at the Oberpfälzer Wald golf club (6 km away). Attention: many, many meters of altitude. I don't think the €40/day incl. €4.50 electricity (which is steep) is too much overall.
All in all, a campsite worth recommending. The site is very well maintained and has a clean and large sanitary building. There is even a storage bench in the shower, which is not a matter of course. The pitches are large and we even... had a direct view of the lake. The operator is very nice. Bread roll service is also available on site and the restaurant was very tasty. Absolutely great. Wonderful sun terrace, our pitch 39 also offered a brilliant view of the lake, pure sunshine and fantastic sunsets. The site is 50% occupied by permanent campers, most of whom... are on the side of the long pitch away from the lake. Those who were there were all friendly (we are also permanent campers ourselves in Tyrol). But the appearance of some of the year-round pitches could be optimized. Some things are very well-kept, but many are already quite run-down and unkempt. Doesn't exactly make the site any nicer. Very friendly staff at the campsite, reception, kiosk and restaurant.
