Playground is dangerous for children, dilapidated and dirty. Play equipment is defective, damaged and protruding nails and splinters are dangerous.
Construction site not cordoned off, machines and dangerous equipment are freely accessible to children.
The travelers do not behave appropriately, do not adhere to rest periods - noise -
They litter the site. Wagons and carpets are cleaned with high-pressure cleaners on the site on Sundays. It stinks.
Sanitary blocks are available. Cleaning only takes place during the week, defective toilets are locked at the weekend. The condition: in need of renovation.
Toilet paper is too hard and cannot be flushed away. Pipe blockages are imminent.
The paths - potholes everywhere. Electricity is flat rate, we tourists get 6A, the campers with washing machines and tumble dryers 16A !???
The machines are operated on the pitches, although there is no connection for them. Waste water with detergent residues flows into the meadow with a side stream!
Washing machines in bathhouses are permanently occupied by the campers, dryers are dirty.

We found the address Am Froschloch 1 fun enough to spend a weekend here. The site is so beautifully situated that it makes you wonder why you don't make more of it.
Fortunately, the tourist pitches are separated from the permanent pitches. The obligatory walk... to the permanent pitches was a bit like disaster tourism, lots of garbage and very unkempt pitches wherever you look. Even a great tree population doesn't help.
We have nothing against older sanitary blocks, but if they are not cleaned at the weekend and waterless urinals are not maintained, it is very difficult to feel comfortable.

However, quite a few are shockingly neglected.Nice location, nice people, otherwise unfortunately a lot of things are getting oldAs far as we have heard, there has probably been a new owner for a few years who wanted to redo some things.
The restaurant was probably renovated as far as we can remember (the last time we were here was 6 years ago). The rest looks like it used to, but unfortunately it's getting on in years.
Really... very spacious site with lots of room and, above all, empty pitches these days. Despite the negative points, we are still considering coming here. But the partly slum-like impression of some of the pitches and residents is rather off-putting. But maybe that will change. We'll just come back a few more times and see how we feel.
But there are also some very nice permanent campsites where we got some inspiration.
The restaurant was beautifully designed and tastes good too.
Prices are simply borderline for what is on offer. But even the official route via the village of Laubach doesn't make you believe that there is a campsite here! The reception by a friendly woman was extremely... nice and helpful, and I thought it was the owner's wife. The site itself is huge, mostly permanent campers with some neat little houses and well-kept plots. We quickly found our non-parceled pitch and settled in. The terrain may be sloping, so make sure you have enough support material with you!
First exploration: positive! Strange: you always need a key for the sanitary building! But here, too, the first impression was positive: old, but clean and functional! All the washbasins were mounted quite low, but functional. The showers had plenty of space and a hose shower with adjustable shower head and lever mixer. And WITHOUT shower markers!!! So nothing stands in the way of showering pleasure. Well, one or two contemporaries can leave the shower hose very twisted, but that's easy to fix.
And then there's the peace and quiet, the forest all around! You can only hear the birds, a tawny owl, nature! No highway! An airplane every now and then.
Unfortunately, you can only wash up outside and the sink seems very improvised! I didn't find a sink for disposing of gray water either, but it was quite practical for chemical toilets.
What the operator should definitely do to avoid annoying guests unnecessarily: update the information on the registration door! Because you can no longer recognize the telephone number!!!!! Wanted to buy gas during the advertised opening hours, but the registration desk was locked. The bell on the door doesn't seem to work properly and I didn't see a phone number. I was correspondingly angry! Prices significantly increased, so far not really with "added value" for the camper.
The location is very quiet and idyllic, unfortunately the peace and quiet is often disturbed - even during... the "quiet times" by construction noise, lawn mowing and other noisemakers.
Although dogs must be kept on a lead, you will often come across dogs running around freely and their tracks are hard to miss.
Depending on the pitch, it is also quite far for dog owners to leave the pitch ... you would have to carry a poop bag with you if the dog can't make it outside the pitch ...
During the rest periods, the barriers are closed, but there is virtually no possibility of parking cars outside without blocking the entrance/exit.

The sanitary facilities are... not only totally outdated but are "cleaned" irregularly Due to the lack of poop stations with poop bags (but they charge for dogs), I pressed the last poop bag (my own) on Monday morning on the ashtray with a small trash can standing in front of the sanitary building from the weekend (was not emptied all week) For the often open lockers, a deposit of € 50 had to be deposited for a barcode card. The grumpy female person who was occasionally to be found instead of the tenant at the reception I would like to mention only in passing. All in all, a beautiful, quiet but ancient place with a lot of potential for improvement. The infrastructure is still being improved - at Easter the trampoline for the children, which was then very much in use, was still being set up. The sanitary facilities were average and clean; we all... know that we are responsible for our own waste and people complain about this. Is there any investment at all?Campsite is slowly going down the drainWe've been coming to Laubach every now and then for years, but I think we'll stop. The campsite is deteriorating more and more. Unkempt lawns (just left lying around), dogs running free everywhere, sanitary buildings from the 70s (cold heating in the mornings), path lighting hardly works, permanent campers... sometimes slum-like, scrap cars and car trailers on the pitches like in an industrial estate. Other campers reported that the park was for sale. If this is the case, we can only hope that this will happen soon - the actually beautiful site deserves it. It is a very quiet site, well suited for hiking tours and senior citizens. The staff are very friendly, even the bread rolls are brought to the caravan. As we are from the area, we like to come back for a weekend,... but for longer vacations, the place would definitely be too quiet. So if you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The sanitary facilities are not the newest, but they are clean. There is also a playground with a small water playground. Kettcars can be hired. The food in the restaurant tasted very good, we were delighted. Only the outdoor facilities could be cleaned up a bit and designed more lovingly.
