- Klaus-Peter A.August 2023PozitivnoPlace under trees, clean, friendly staff, good location for sightseeingNegativnoSanitary facilities too smallBeautiful and well-kept placeThe site is located on a small side road, so boldly follow the navigation. For larger vehicles, pay attention to the relatively narrow bridge at the beginning of the side road.
Friendly reception and beautiful grass pitch under trees. It's nice that you can choose your pitch when booking online.
There... is a small store on the site that also sells barbecue food.
Unfortunately, the (clean) sanitary facilities are too small. Even outside peak times there were waiting times, which is not nice especially when it rains due to the lack of a roof.
What we didn't like so much: The pitches are built right up to the edge by some campers with awnings, windbreaks etc.. This made us feel a bit crowded. The minimum distances to neighbors required on many sites in the Highlands do not seem to apply here.
Note for e-drivers: The site has a charging station.
Recommended in the town: Tasting in the Aberlour distillery (pre-booking required) and a visit to the factory outlet of Walkers Shortbread (much cheaper than in the store).Automatski prevedeno. - Steffen H.June 2015PozitivnoIn the middle of nature. Short distance to Dufftown - perfect for whiskey lovers.NegativnoPuddles form on the parking spaces when it rains.Very well-kept campsite between treesThe campsite is located on a narrow road in the middle of nature. It is easy to find with GPS. There are also a few signs. The pitches consist of meadow under tall conifers. The perfect place for nature lovers. You can discover all kinds of animals and plants here. Only when it rains can you quickly... get your feet wet, as puddles (even deep ones) quickly form on the pitches and the water doesn't run off. The sanitary facilities are simple but always clean. Dufftown and its distilleries are just a few minutes away by car. The campsite is a good starting point for whisky lovers. But the location is also excellent for excursions into the countryside. An overnight stay costs 20 pounds.Automatski prevedeno.
- Jürg B.May 2011Quiet place, sanit. Facilities simple (Scottish), facilities clean and well maintained. Good opportunity to visit the distillery "Glennfiddich" and "Speyside", production of whisky casks. Be sure to visit "Baxter" in Forchables, approx. 20 km, a very nice store, partly in old style >> preserves, jams, soups etc. and "Walkers", famous for its shortbread cookies etc.Automatski prevedeno.
