"Great beach area but much in need of renovation - The campsite is very large and has a lot to offer. The beach area in particular has many new attractions and is very well maintained. Unfortunately, the upkeep of the actual camping area is deteriorating. Some things are in need of renovation, especially the sanitary facilities. The entrance area with restaurant is also getting on in years. It is incomprehensible why a lot of money is being invested in prestige projects (super modern access system, new aqua park in the beach area), but what is important to many campers/tourists (sanitary facilities, for example, older mobile homes) is being neglected. The mobile home wasn't super clean either and was also getting on in years. But there are also many brand new ones. Otherwise, the infrastructure is great. You can quickly walk to the supermarket and can also quickly get to Balatonfüred. Overall, I am divided in my assessment. You can neither rate the campsite as bad nor as super good. There should be urgent investment in the existing facilities and not always new ones being built. The price is too expensive considering the sanitary facilities for campers and the condition of the older mobile homes.

"Disappointed - The place was very disappointing. The staff spoke poor English and from the start there was a lot of disagreement about what was paid and what was not paid. Nice Mobilehomes but I would not recommend bringing your own caravan. Nice facilities at the beach and brand new restaurant on site. A bit isolated but you can reach shopping by bike.

"Beautiful location on Lake Balaton with room for improvement - Very large, but already outdated CP, partly very old, heavily used sanitary facilities, which are cleaned regularly, but do not look attractive, newer sanitary building in front of the beach; simple restaurant on the beach, which was newly taken over and offers good, usual cuisine. Staff here but also at reception friendly and helpful. At the end of the season, some of the play equipment, water slide "landscapes" and sanitary facilities are already being dismantled or closed. The beach has a sandy bottom and is pleasant for swimming, but the water ski lift, which restricts the swimming area, can be a nuisance! Noise pollution, especially at weekends, when the open-air disco or road runners meet up nearby until 5am! Conclusion: large space that should be better maintained (dried out plants in troughs) and would have much more potential! In the low season, a few days vacation during the week is quite possible on the differently sized pitches! Prices are reasonable in the low season!

"Unfortunately no German language like offer - The accommodation of Sun Camp directly on the street. The staff do not speak German. The smoke alarm goes off all the time. Without doing anything. Promised a week ago in 10 min. until today not done. Food is expensive and cold with one provider. Sun loungers on the water pay extra

"Have the best time behind them - We stayed here for 3 days with the motorhome. The location is fantastic. It should be modernized again. The sanitary facilities no longer make the best impression and especially there is a lack of cleanliness. The music was very loud every evening. So not suitable for those seeking peace and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, however, the price is not justified

"Camping Balaton - The campsite is great, the benches on the beach are also great, the lake is wonderful for swimming but the state of the sanitary facilities is really bad, they are cleaned several times a day but the general condition leaves a lot to be desired, broken tiles, broken and patched doors, broken brackets for the shower heads, countless drill holes in the walls. It is simply no longer standard for this time. Everything else is really not bad.

Profil

Location: Of the northern shore, the largest campsite is located in Balatonfüred, linked via the promenade to the bustling city center where many programs are available. Services: the campsite has its own beach, a children’s pool, a swimming pool available …in summer. There is also a water world playground offering great fun for children of all ages. New features include: sun sails, new sun decks, and a disabled access lift. Numerous sports facilities are available: water sports equipment rental, beach volleyball court, mini golf, go-kart and bike rental, and a new tennis court with tartan as well as a streetball court. In high season, children can enjoy animation activities, as well as Camping Days and regular activities. The campsite and its immediate surroundings offer a wide range of restaurants and shops. Accommodation types: a wide range of pitches separated by a hedge, supplied with electrical connection (the "comfort" option also has plumbing), tents for rent, bungalows for 3-4-6 persons and mobile homes for 4+2 persons. We can also accommodate guests with dogs in mobile homes and pitches in a designated area in the eastern part of the campsite. Experience: We recommend this campsite to anyone who enjoys the bustling camping life, with many services in one place and a large selection of local programs.
