- Lysann E.August 2022PozitivnoCleanliness, attentive staff, nice pool, hardly any animation that doesn't bother anyoneNegativnoThe staff in the restaurant could have been a little friendlier, proximity to the streetRelaxed vacationAs the presentation on the campsite's website promises, the site is a relaxed, quiet, orderly and thoroughly clean place where we were able to spend a wonderful 2 weeks. The reservation went smoothly, the pitch had to be paid for in advance. The pitches with a sea view are rare, but those without in... the shade are no less beautiful. Most of the pitches are very spacious. As the campsite is located in the middle of the Moorish mountains, it is laid out in terraces. Not every pitch is accessible by car, but there are reserved parking spaces nearby. There are three sanitary blocks, which are cleaned three times a day. They are simple but in perfect order. The pool is very nice for children and adults alike, but not a fun pool. It is quiet and relaxed. There is a pool bar, a small store (only the essentials!) and a restaurant, also with take-away pizzas. I found some of the service staff in the restaurant not very polite, but reserved and arrogant. But it was still tasty. But the minus point is: cash only!
The entrance to the campsite is via a barrier in which an individual code must be entered. The site is located at the entrance to Cavalaire sur mer. The coastal road and a less busy road are at the foot of the campsite. This is not very noisy, especially the higher up the site you camp, but the loud mopeds were sometimes annoying. At night, however, you can even hear the sound of the waves.
You can get to the sea quite quickly via the two roads mentioned above and a steep but barrier-free path. The beach is a beautiful sandy bay surrounded by rocks, sloping quickly and with waves and diving stations.
It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the town center. There are restaurants at the harbor, boutiques, boat tours, water sports, Ferris wheel, ... There is also a huge Carrefour nearby (about 10 minutes on foot) with a fresh fish counter and everything you need.Automatski prevedeno. - Nicole W.July 2020PozitivnoCleanliness, friendliness, location near the beach, restaurant, sanitary facilitiesNegativnoNot passable with very large trailersBeautiful placeA very nice place that is calm and quiet. We were there with a folding caravan and had a great pitch with a sea view. On the lower side, in the pine forest, we found it quite dark, but of course it was nice and shady in summer with the temperatures. The sanitary facilities were always clean and are still... quite new. The small restaurant had great pizzas and you could walk to the supermarket. The beach within walking distance was usually very crowded, so we switched to other beaches. The place was pleasantly quiet in the evening.Automatski prevedeno.
- Michael H.August 2019PozitivnoEverything! - Sanitary clean, well maintained. - Restaurant delicious. - Top staff! - Pool and beach perfect for families.NegativnoThere were no disadvantages in these two weeks!Wonderful CP!We loved it because everything was just right. I've never experienced such a great atmosphere on a campsite as the one created by the staff here. Whether in the restaurant/pool bar, with the cleaning staff or at reception - it's really great when you can spread so much passion and fun in high season... with so much stress and hustle and bustle. Our tent pitch had a fantastic view. The pool was supervised all day and is ideal for families. The beautiful sandy beach is within 10 minutes walking distance via a steep access. The restaurant was delicious. And did I mention that the staff were extremely helpful ;-) Thank you Bonporteau, it was a mega brilliant vacation!Automatski prevedeno.
- Rainer O.September 2018Fully bookedBonporteau would have been our vacation destination in September 2018. Unfortunately (and I hadn't expected this), the campsite was fully booked on September 10, which was well into the low season. We therefore had to switch to our "second choice", the Cros de Mouton campsite. Our tip: reserve a pitch even in the low season!Automatski prevedeno.
- Andy A.October 2017Pozitivnovery beautiful area, the beach is picturesqueNegativnoSanitary not clean, bad supermarket, restaurant expensive (pizza over 10,- Euro), way to the beach difficult, unsuitable for childrenThe pictures on the net are more beautiful than the originalThe tenant was very friendly and showed us a free pitch. The access road was a little narrow, but easy to manage. You can't really tell where your own pitch begins and where it ends. The restaurant was quite expensive and the supermarket, which doesn't deserve the name due to the lack of goods, was also... very expensive. The pool made a good impression. The beach is not directly on the pitch. You have to go down a steep road, cross a main road and then down a not so nice steep path. The bay is beautiful, but it's not so easy with children. I wouldn't want to use the public toilets on the beach. The toilets on the campsite weren't that clean either. Brown stains on the back wall and you can see exactly where the mop doesn't reach. All the facilities are unisex, which sometimes takes some getting used to. Some of the toilets had at least 30 cm of air at the top and bottom. This meant that the lower pitches could always see whether the person who went to the toilet first was actually sitting down ;-) What the pitch had: A clear surplus of pensioners The rating for noise is also so bad because there is a large construction site with two cranes nearby. The beeping of the construction vehicles reversing woke me up gently in the morning (I used to live at a railroad terminus and was able to sleep well). At night, a couple of cats tore open our garbage bag. Really nice area, but we moved on straight away after one night.Automatski prevedeno.
- Wiebke A.October 2017PozitivnoFriendly staffNegativnoSanitarySanitary facilities did not meet my expectationsWe had actually planned a stay of ten days, but we left after one night. We were traveling with three children and this didn't seem to be the right place for us. Lots of 60+ guests! The campsite was still quite full, but the restaurant was about to close (we were told this on arrival) and the supermarket... had a very small inventory. The sanitary building did not meet my expectations of a 4-star campsite. Gender-independent is one thing, but the mirrors were totally tarnished, the toilets so poorly lit that you could hardly see what you were entering...Automatski prevedeno.
- Andreas und Petra S.May 2017Quiet locationWhen we arrived, we were immediately waved through and a nice employee in a golf cart guided us to the middle of the site, where we left the motorhome and changed into the golf cart. We were then shown 5 possible pitches to choose from. Communication in English was a matter of course. According to the... website, the site has 107 pitches, plus an estimated 60 rentable cabins. Due to the hillside location and the dense old tree population, the individual pitches are spread out so that there is no impression of crowding. The ground consists of a clay/sand/gravel mixture, sprinkled with pine needles. Barbecues are not permitted. There is a small store, a bar by the pool and a pizzeria. The well-kept beach, which is located in a 100m wide bay, is about 400m away on foot. The center of Cavalaire-sur-Mer is about 1200m away. In the unisex wash houses you can choose between squat toilets and sitting toilets without glasses, paper is available. Wifi should cost 8€/day (see photo).Automatski prevedeno.
- Csilla K.September 2016Pozitivnoclean, quietNegativnothe local shop is expensivebeach - walksThe campsite is on a steep hillside but the CPs are relatively straight. The water blocks are very clean. There is a steep little path down to the sea - about 5 minutes. We were with 3 dogs, towards the beach but before the beach there is a large grassy area where you can let the dogs out and take them... in. The shop at the campsite is quite expensive but there is a big shop not far away where you can buy everything. The campsite is peaceful and quiet we had a great time.Automatski prevedeno.
- Elena C.June 2016The most beautiful campsite on the blue coastBeautiful pitches, some with sea views, friendly staff, clean, short walk to a great bay, from there beautiful coastal hiking trails, walking distance to the supermarket and the village, great pool, suitable for babies and small children, no mass tourism and permanent camp atmosphere! Nice excursions by car or bus, e.g. to St. Tropez and picturesque villagesAutomatski prevedeno.
- Marlies W.September 2015PozitivnoBeautiful pitches, store, restaurant, pool, WLAN (fee), beachNegativnoactually noneBeautiful in fallBeautifully situated CP with trees, so that you could enjoy both sun and shade on your pitch. Very friendly staff, good restaurant (food also available to take away). Beautiful bathing bay (just cross the road), sand cleaned and raked daily even in the fall. Walking and hiking trails above the bay. And... only 800 m by bike to the shops (cycle paths!). We felt very comfortable and are happy to recommend the place. However, I wouldn't want to be here in the high season, when the Côte d'Azur is overcrowded everywhere!!!Automatski prevedeno.
- Olaf P.April 2014PozitivnoCentral location, good shopping facilities, well-kept, nice pitches, beautiful beach bayNegativnoSome traffic noise during the dayManageable, well-kept space in a central locationWe were very satisfied with our stay in April. The site is a manageable size, the pitches are very attractive, the sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff are extremely friendly. The beautiful sandy bay can be reached in just 5 minutes, but is certainly quickly overcrowded in... summer. The site has a small store where you can buy a fresh baguette in the morning. A large supermarket is a 15-minute walk away. We were there with our tent and because we were the only campers, the tent pitch area was ours alone. Lots of space with a sea view. Wonderful! However, the central location on the edge of the village also has a disadvantage: the nearby road is audible. It didn't bother us too much, as the traffic at night was fortunately almost non-existent. So a restful night's sleep. We felt very comfortable and can recommend this place. For us, one of the best in the area.Automatski prevedeno.
- Kurt R.September 2013A familiar place with very nice staff .... Always happy to come back ...Automatski prevedeno.
- Piotr L.August 2012Very nice campsite. Interestingly located. Close to the beach about 300m. Farther to the city about 1km but walking in these areas is just a dream affair. What is important- in the campground a lot of shade. Store with daily fresh bread on site. Sanitary facilities very clean. On site nice swimming pool... with drinkbar. Price...well for 4 stars you have to pay, but at least you know for what. The only downside of this place is very expensive wifi internet. But at least it helps to relax from reality. Other than that, I sincerely recommend it.Automatski prevedeno.
