"Camping like a picture book - As soon as you arrive you realize you've come to the right place! Nice people and very well-kept facilities. The numerous sanitary facilities are always wonderfully clean, the minimarket has a large selection at fair prices. The pool is also wonderful, the pool attendant is very conscientious and super friendly. The pitches are great and very well covered with electricity and water. Wonderful beaches are nearby and the restaurant is also highly recommended. We'll be back, that's for sure :-)

"Beautiful end to your vacation in Sardinia at Calacavallo - After barely escaping the flames near Arbatax, we looked for a place that was as close as possible to the ferry from Golfo Aranci and where we would be let out of the gate fairly early, as the ferry left early. We found what we were looking for at Calacavallo. We received a very friendly welcome and were given a map with five possible places to choose from. One of them had a wonderful view of the rocks on the island of Tavolara. That was our pitch! The pitches are located between many permanent campers. Is that what a previous commentator meant by "Feeling like in an Italian apartment building"? We didn't actually find this too bad, rather comfortable, especially as our neighbors were very friendly. The round sanitary facilities were very interestingly designed and always very clean. Using the shower was a bit complicated, but it was easy to learn. I was once given an Italian scolding by a cleaner because I almost dared to enter the facilities (foot on the stairs) during cleaning. But you can overlook that with a smile. The beach directly behind the campsite is very small and a bit rocky, but has a wonderful view of the island. If you walk south through the undergrowth shortly after reception, you will come to the Caribbean Brandinchi beach. However, you are not the only one who finds this beach very beautiful. There are more bathers there than there is space to lie on the beach. It was too crowded for us and we went back again. A little further on is the Bamba salt pans beach. It's much more pleasant there, even if the sand isn't as nice. We only visited the pool at the campsite once. It was just too noisy and the water was a bit murky. We ate once in the restaurant on the complex. The prices were okay, the food was tasty and the waiters were friendly. The ambience was also good. The many flies in the square were annoying. They were a bit annoying. The waste disposal was also a bit annoying. Overall, however, we have rather positive memories of the campsite. On the day of our departure, the security guard let us out of the gate at 5 a.m. - that's what we were promised, and that's what we got! So we were able to catch our ferry on time. Wonderful!

"Good location, clean sanitary facilities 800m away, great beach - We stood on the very narrow motorhome pitches. Sanitary very O.K. Cleaned daily and left clean by the guests. W-Lan is supposed to be available, but does not work properly anywhere on the site, practically no W-Lan available! Mobile reception also very poor. To the beautiful beach from the motorhome site about 800m. We didn't go to the restaurant because it smelled strongly of roasted horse meat! Not for fine noses. Bar with nice service and delicious cappuccino. Market with a good selection by CP standards.

"Feeling like in an Italian apartment building - The motto of this CP seems to be: How do you get as many people as possible into as little space as possible? The actual camping area is in stark contrast to the front entrance area, which is generously laid out and well maintained. The pitches are square, practical - and not good: dusty, about 6x6 m in size, crammed in between unsightly caravans from which you can hear the TV and smell lunch, and the sanitary facilities are just as cramped and are now getting on in years. It's very quiet during the day, but don't be alarmed when the sun goes down: then the campsite is filled with the same old animation music and it gets very lively. The campsite is car-free; cars must be left in a guarded parking lot in front of the campsite. The icing on the cake is that visitors are forced to take their garbage away at certain times and are then given a lesson in waste separation. If you don't separate your garbage properly, you have to empty your bags under the watchful eye of the staff and sort the garbage into the correct containers. However, the site also has its good points, e.g. the small private dream beach with a view of the imposing rocky island of Tavolara. The beach is mostly sandy with a few climbing rocks. If you have a boat, you can anchor in front of the beach and will be chauffeured to the beach by boat. There is a large pool, a bar, a well-stocked store and a restaurant with good pizza. The staff are friendly and also allow early departures before the actual opening time if you have to catch the ferry, for example. A must is a drive on the road to the end of the Coda Cavallo peninsula, where you are rewarded with a fantastic view over the coast!

"Quiet CP ! - We were on the transit and therefore only 1 night! The CP is very remote, you have a ride (scooter-car or similar to move forward!) The restaurant was the hammer, typical Sardinian food and delicious! Staff very friendly!

"Vacation village calacavallo - I stayed in August in the boongalow at the village calacavallo with my family,very cozy and clean,surrounded by greenery a few minutes from the camping beach and 20 minutes walk from the beautiful beach cala Brandinchi; nice swimming pool although it closes from 13.00to 16.00.Excellent animation evenings always fun,I was sorry to leave😊
