"As some campsites on Lake Bohinj in the season of course full....but good - If you go to the only campsite on Lake Bohinj in the middle of the high season, you have to expect it to be very busy, but I think the operators have it well under control. Once you've found a pitch, you can move again later if a nicer one becomes available. The key points: -located beautifully on the lake....free access -beautiful bathing area with slightly better access and moorings just a few steps away -boat hire on site -bus and boat landing stage at the site -cable car 500m -Restaurant good -fruit and vegetable sales -bread roll service -extra pitch area for tents....(forest) -Pitches with gravel, some grass and trees -Bicycle would be advantageous because parking fees are charged at practically all parking areas around the lake -quiet at night despite the size and occupancy -sanitary facilities good for size and occupancy...(better is always possible)

"A bijou, but... - A fantastic natural backdrop: Mountains, lake, tranquillity. There are no pitches, but there is a restaurant and vegetable market. The idea is great, but the site is so overcrowded that nature can only be seen and enjoyed when you look up at the mountains. When the evening arrival is over, the site is extremely quiet, and in the morning everything is reversed again - the caravan moves on. The sanitary facilities are OK, when we were there the cleaning staff were constantly on duty.

"Beautiful campsite - We liked the campsite very much (see pros and cons). Unfortunately, we didn't get much sleep on the last night because our neighbors didn't keep to the night's rest and partied loudly. They didn't stop even when other campers asked them to. Otherwise, everything was really wonderful and we will definitely be back :)

"Idyllic - Unfortunately you can't book. When we arrived, the entrance was full. But the barrier was open and we were told by other campers that you can just drive in, because at 12:00 the lockers are closed and then wait until someone leaves. We were lucky and got a pitch in the 2nd row. The location by the lake is a dream. There are lots of families on the site, but also young people in vw buses and tents. Everything is pretty uncomplicated. It has its own flair. The restaurant on site is very good. Bread rolls are sold there in the morning. Sometimes a long queue. Otherwise there are no stores nearby. Only at the other end of the lake. It's best to take enough food with you. The nature is a dream. Great hikes. Savica waterfall from the campsite. Mostnika gorge from Stara fuzina. The cycle path to bohinska bistrika is also beautiful. You can't cycle around the lake though. You can hire a canoe or sup at the campsite. It's great to explore the shores of the crystal-clear lake in this way. The lake was very warm for us in august. The weather was hot but it also rained for half an hour every day. This is normal in this area. Take rain protection with you on hikes. I really liked this place because it has its own flair, really rustic.

If you wish to stay in the heart of Triglav National Park, in the immediate vicinity of the gondola to Mount Vogel, and on the shore of marvelous Lake Bohinj, there is only one choice: the Zlatorog campground. It is …as ideal for those seeking tranquility as it is for those who wish to enjoy diverse and exciting vacation activities. The lake is suitable for boating, fishing, and wind surfing and in the summer heat, you can refresh yourself swimming in its crystal clear water. Those who find the lake's water too warm will find the colder Mostnica River in the nearby alpine valley of Voje most satisfying. It foams through several gorges, and with suitable equipment and an experienced guide, canyoning here is completely safe. The camp is a starting point for hiking and mountain touring, sport climbing, paragliding, hydrospeeding, canyoning, and mountain biking; the camp itself offers tennis, boating, canoeing, kayaking, table tennis, a children's playground . . . and of course, there are countless viewpoints from which you can observe the peaks of the Julian Alps.
