When driving in, you are surprised by the beautiful view and with this you are sold. Once at the campsite you find out that the outdated sanitary facilities are very far to walk and you are kept awake from early evening to late morning by freight traffic and goods and passenger trains. The groundsman is very moody. For example,... if you want to buy the last 2 rolls in the store, he asks what he should do until the evening without rolls in the store and then doesn't sell them to you either. No electricity but a breathtaking view and plenty of space. Unfortunately, we also had permanent campers who partied until the morning and then unfortunately didn't go to the toilet block to vomit or otherwise "relieve" themselves.... Including many Germans invited to the party who would have been kicked off the campsite at midnight at the latest. Staff very friendly and the food in the bistro was tasty. Both the tourist pitches and the campsite were well occupied, which naturally had an impact on the noise level. However, it was quiet from 11 pm at the latest. Again, it should be noted... that the sanitary facilities were clean at all times or at least without any complaints. The pitches for caravans are very small and the groundsman prescribes how to position the caravan/motorhome. Unfortunately there is NO children's playground on the campsite, but we finally found... one at a nearby kindergarten. The site has a lot of rules, such as no cycling on the campsite. The tent meadow may be even more crowded, depending on occupancy. The tent meadow leads directly into the sunbathing lawn of the lakeside outdoor pool (free of charge), which can get quite busy there in warm weather and at weekends or in the afternoons.... A matter of taste! The sanitary facilities are definitely too small for the space! There are only two for each gender! Toilets are also used by lido visitors. Kiosk on site is well stocked. Bread and rolls are baked in the morning. Beer garden ok! Overall, the site lives exclusively from its location. Apart from a table tennis table, there are no play facilities for children. We did find a small playground at a nearby elementary school. The price is far too high for the services, but you know that beforehand!Automatski prevedeno.

- Vanessa K.July 2012Fantastic location on Lake Walen and mountain views, large+clean pitches and sanitary facilities. However, the unfriendliness of the operator makes a pleasant stay impossible: our reserved vacation ended abruptly when we were thrown out with the following reason - main reason: we asked to change our... shady pitch for one of the free pitches in the sun. - When we checked in, it was suggested that we park the van facing the lake, which we saw as a suggestion, not a rule. Especially because some other caravans/campers were parked differently. As we like to enjoy the view through the open tailgate, we parked with the rear facing the lake. - The question of whether barbecues were allowed on the pitches was answered with "yes" when we checked in. When we turned on our barbecue in the evening, it caused a big commotion, so we turned it off again. --> Conclusion: The best location doesn't help! 10km further along the lake is an equally nice place with friendly, appropriate treatment.Automatski prevedeno.
