I find that unpleasant. However, the paths on the pitch are so short that you don't need a chemical toilet.Super price-performance ratioYou can see the effects of the drought. Originally there was almost direct access to water through a tributary of the Arroux. As this is now almost nothing more than a stagnant pond, nothing reaches here at all.
You can easily go on tours from here, e.g. to Bibracte. The site was not very busy. Pitches under deciduous trees, flat, partly grassy, bordered by high hedges. In the front part of the site without hedges, but close to the road (little traffic). Quiet location. Toilets are clean... and not that old. Even toilet paper available. Bread can be ordered, otherwise very little food. There is a restaurant on site. Philipp P.August 2014PozitivnoCozy, manageable, inexpensive, friendly, staff very friendlyCozy insider tipThe ancient town of Autun is located in the middle east of France and is quite centrally located on half of the country's north-south axis. This makes it particularly attractive as a stopover for a night or two. Langres, one of the "classic" stops on the way south, is another 150 kilometers further north... as the crow flies. Depending on the route, destination and kilometers already covered, Autun can be an attractive alternative further inland. If you are traveling on the N7 / A7, the city is too far west at Beaune, but if you are a fan of the A75 (toll-free from Clermont-Ferrand to the Mediterranean, with an extremely (!) scenic route through the French Zenbtral massif), Autun could be a good choice. That's what happened to me on the way home from the south of France - I was driving on the A75 and had taken a free, north-easterly route from Clermont-Fd. So I ended up more by mistake in Autun on a really nice, small campsite on the outskirts of the town. The reception was extremely friendly and courteous, bread could be pre-ordered and I was told that I could use the free Wi-Fi in the room next to reception. We were allowed to choose a pitch. There is a clear separation between the permanent campers, who have their area to the right of the access road behind the reception and with whom you have virtually no contact, and the tourists or transients who populate the left-hand part of the site. This consists of a "loop-shaped" circular path; in the middle there is a continuous, unparceled meadow with indicated pitch numbers, around the outside there are groups of pitches separated by high hedges, where you sometimes feel as if you are in a cave. Immediately next to the entrance to this part of the site is the disposal station for motorhomes, where people like to pig out so much that it's no laughing matter. On the way to the pitch, you have to pass the faecal remains of some Dutch pensioner couple still stuck in the grating. This is not quite ideal. There is a sanitary building, which is likely to be overloaded when the pitch is full, but was sufficient for the few occupied pitches in August 2014. The facilities are recent and clean. Washing up is done "plein air" behind the little house, so you can have a good mess. If you turn around while washing up, you can see the meadows and banks of the Ternin, a small stream that flows into the Arroux. There is some play equipment for children and a visit to Autun is always worthwhile, especially with the cultural program on offer. Overall, the site is manageable, well-kept, picturesque and inexpensive - nothing for three weeks with children, but for a few days a place that I would visit again at any time, not least due to the overall noticeable, friendly flair.Automatski prevedeno.- Dieter S.August 2013PozitivnoQuiet location despite proximity to the cityNegativnoNo store on the squarePleasant place for transitYou could also spend a few days on this beautiful site on the outskirts of the city. It's just a few minutes by bike to the pretty little town, which is well worth a visit but can also be reached on foot. André F.July 2010We have visited this site several times as a stopover. The site is located on the river Le Temin just outside the town. The reception is friendly and with French charm, and the patron always has a joke in store - at least that's the case with us as he always recognizes us. The sanitary facilities are... a little older, but were always clean when we were there. The site is divided into two parts, the pitches on the right are parceled out with hedges, the pitches on the left are parceled out without hedges. At the entrance is the playground and in the reception house (which by the way has a thatched roof) there is a lounge with satellite TV (also German channels) and a cozy restaurant, at the reception you can buy the most necessary food, bread must be ordered the evening before for the next day. You can also rent bicycles and canoes. The site is ideal for visiting the city of Autun, such as the cathedral, amphitheater, and the market square with its pavilion where folklore music is always danced on Saturdays (see Autun's homepage www.autun-tourisme.com). The square is very quiet and there are cows grazing nearby in summer (mooing and bells). The site is ideal for exploring the Morvan.
