"Somewhat outdated camping resort - We came to this campsite mainly for our daughter, as the pool area and the leisure facilities for children are very extensive. We were disappointed (not to say disgusted) when we had to use the sanitary facilities. The campsite is very large, there are correspondingly many people and the overall hustle and bustle and noise level is correspondingly high. The best thing by far was the pizzeria, which serves extremely good pizza. All in all, I think the price is far too high for what we were offered. I would only recommend it to travelers with children and for 1-2 nights at most.

"Beautiful place in ugly surroundings - You receive a very friendly welcome, the pitches are very large and everything is very clean. Free WiFi throughout the site. There is also a very nice pool area. But that's all the positives! 😞 The campsite is surrounded by ugly plastic tarpaulin greenhouses (although you can't see anything of them on the campsite), the beach is made of coarse gravel and you can't go far by bike either because it's steeply uphill all around through the mountains. And the campsite is totally overpriced without an ACSI card 🤤 In the low season 1 person with pitch incl. electricity 😲 €28 per day.

"Wintering - We camped for the 1st time and for 2 months. We received a very friendly welcome at reception. Esther and Tino, who both speak German, went out of their way to help us with advice and assistance. The camping store is well equipped and also very helpful. The campsite (very clean) is located directly on the Mediterranean and you can easily walk or cycle there. We will be back and are already looking forward to it

"Driveway not an eye-catcher / space but ok - No matter which direction you are coming from, the site is well signposted in Carchuna on the N340. The access road first leads 1 km between greenhouses! Competent and friendly reception on site. The site consists of an elongated area with mostly eucalyptus trees and a swimming pool. The pitches vary in size and are divided by low hedges. The sanitary building is located in the middle of the site. Adjacent to the site is a stony and rather wild beach, which can be reached via a road with little traffic. A good location for excursions into the Alpujarras.

" - We spent one night on the camper and after the morning shower in the unappealing, and not clean sanitary area of the feces-smelling pitch quickly disappeared again. Very unattractive surroundings due to the greenhouses that are unfortunately typical in this region and the resulting increase in insects of all kinds :)

Profil

Don Cactus is a first class campsite of approximately 40.000 square meters. It has modern service and leisure installations. There are also a Bar and Restaurant with terrace with sea views, Supermarket, children’s play area, swimming pool with waterfalls, Jacuzzi, …barbecue area, adults outdoor gym, carwash. It is open all year long, and has special offers, of up to 70 % discount for long stays, during the period September-June. In the campsite there are 21 fully equipped bungalows which can sleep up to 5. These enable you to enjoy the campsite and special atmosphere without renouncing home comforts.

Carchuna is a little village in the nearof the town of Motril 11 km of this, located in the central part of the Costa Granada - Granada province, southeastern Spain. We are 80 km from the city of Granada and …100 km from the cities of Malaga and Almeria. The access to the site is via the N 340 or the Mediterranean motorway E-15 towards Motril at Km 343 Carchuna village.You´ll find indicative panels to the left direction Motril.
