Location: a few minutes to the lake Rocheray train station, 5 minutes on foot. Owners nice and uncomplicated Beautiful but small tent meadow with campfire site (not allowed at the moment due to drought) Bread roll service (not used)
Negativno
The railroad line runs right through the back, but the modern rolling stock is very quiet The beautiful pitches with a view of the lake are reserved for permanent campers. The caravan / motorhome pitches are very small and with gravel/sand/wood chippings instead of grass. Only steel hardstanding can be used. The pitches are shadier (heat wave) 2 x 2 WC for men / women for quite a lot of campers at full occupancy can sometimes lead to waiting and enjoying the view. Relatively expensive
Biking on Lac de Joux
We spent 4 nights here with a small caravan (Teardrop), mainly for mountain biking.
There are official routes and it's easy to improvise: 995, 996, etc (see also Komoot)
As it was also 27°C here at 1000m in the hot summer of 2022, it was nice to cool off in the lake after biking.

Idyllic and relaxed
Due to Corona, we were allowed to set up camp in the parking lot and not directly on the campsite. There was also a toilet car with shower downstairs. Therefore no information on sanitary facilities etc. This option is also very ok. We didn't see it as a disadvantage. Lake view, short distances to the... park etc.
The location of the campsite is excellent. The train station is just a few minutes' walk away and public transport is free throughout the region. Shopping facilities are also easily accessible by train. Walking paths with many bathing bays directly from the site. Countless excursion possibilities by mountain bike, bicycle and of course on foot. Return journey by public transport, including boat, free of charge. Many water sports facilities within walking distance. Sparsely populated area by Swiss standards. Therefore relaxed. Also ideal for weekend trips. We are looking forward to our next stay at Lac de Joux!

Camping in the Jura VD
The CP is well located. Beach and train station nearby. Free ticket for bus, train and boat. Small restaurant and bread service. Nice and helpful host family. The pitches are quite cramped, but it was still worth it. The region is a jewel for hiking and biking, or enjoying the Lac de Joux

Small, beautiful complex - very clean and well maintained. Sanitary facilities modern and optimally equipped for the purpose. Space also suitable for large motorhomes. View of the lake - what more could you want.

- The kiosk/catering facilities on the campsite itself were very modest.
Small but nice in a great location
We decided relatively spontaneously to spend Whitsun at the campsite. The reception was very friendly and they were also very helpful. The campsite is a manageable size, which we prefer to a huge camping town. We felt very comfortable with our two dogs. Great location in the middle of a beautiful hiking area and right on the lake.

Ideal place for the weekend
Ideal campsite for a weekend trip, also easily accessible by public transport, Rocheray train station is only a few steps away and the campsite is also only a few steps from the lake. The operators are friendly and uncomplicated and there is an ordering service for bread and a kiosk. The sanitary facilities are simple but thoroughly functional and well-maintained.

Cramped pitches / no catering facilities on the pitch
Campsite at Lac de Joux
The 0.6 ha site is located on the western shore of Lac de Joux on an elongated, partly terraced meadow area. An ideal overnight stop for cyclists on the Jura Route. Narrow but very nice meadow for tents, with an attractive view of the lake. If there is a large crowd, the pitches are quite cramped, whether... you have a tent, caravan or motorhome. The sanitary facilities are simply furnished and were clean during my stay. If you cook for yourself, you are well advised to arrive "bought in". There is not enough food on site, a good restaurant is about 2 km away.

Ruhig gelegener Camping
Ideal als Etappenort auf der Juraroute 7 für Fahrräder von Swiss Mobile. Hat eine schöne Wiese für Zelte.
