"Nothing for us - For me, this is not a campsite. It's more of a festival atmosphere. Actually, everyone who arrived had problems driving up the hill. There are hardly any flat spots. Hardly any electricity boxes. Sanitary containers create a kind of shooting festival atmosphere. Only cold water for the dishes. A muddy wasteland in rainy weather. Maybe the place will become cult again when Woodstock takes place there. We also found the staff unfriendly. Many people find it idyllic, but I find it a bit unpleasant when almost every camper has a fire bowl burning. As I said, it's nothing for us.

"Disappointed. Dogs unfriendly! - 1. sanitary facilities The lake is very large and we were at the end of the lake. To take a shower or go to the toilet, you had to walk from the end of the lake to the very front. There were also only 2 power distribution boxes, which of course were also at the beginning. For all those who want to be close to the main campsite, this aspect would not be a problem, but if you want to be quiet and to yourself, you have to deal with these aspects. 2. the lake This is very, very algaey. The color of the lake is yellow to green. Getting into the water is also difficult and requires a lot of attention to avoid life-threatening injuries. We used one of the main entry points (directly in front of the toilet). One of the steps is disproportionately high, so you are forced to use the second set of steps. The material of the steps is natural stone. The last recognizable steps are very covered in algae, so you have to be careful not to slip. The steps go a good way further into the water, but due to the color of the lake, they are not visible and you have to work your way down somehow without injuring yourself. The water temperature was pleasant. It was not possible to get in at our spot as it was overgrown with meter-high reeds or was far too muddy. 3. service The service could be improved a lot. Starting with the check-in. After giving our personal details, we were only given incidental information such as bread service, night's rest and use of access cards. There was no information about the house rules. These house rules later became our downfall. We were also not informed of any Corona regulations and the food to be bought there was served and prepared without a face mask.

"Ikrause - We have been coming to this site with our daughter for years. First with a tent and now with a caravan. We love this site. The lack of parcelling out and the possibility of making an open fire in a fire bowl are clear advantages. This gives you a real camping feeling! Mr. Hug is always on hand with help and advice and helps wherever he can. The sanitary facilities are cleaned twice a day! Like the whole site, they are clean and well maintained. For us, every day we spend there is like a day's vacation.

"Camping and relaxing close to nature, with pleasant tent neighbors - Our satnav takes us along the "Idyllic Road", it's getting more and more rural - away from the stress. Now we just have to arrive, endure the registration ceremony, find a pitch - hopefully we won't have to go to the last corner - not with unfriendly neighbors again.... Ok, off to registration, something is different than usual, a friendly welcome, free choice of pitch and a campsite full of cheerful people. And that's not all, everything is neat and clean, the fire bowl and wood for the evening barbecue are delivered free to the tent and you can't catch fresh fish for the barbecue yourself, but you can easily order it in advance for the next day. Everything you need is available, there is nothing you don't need. This is also a little paradise for fans of camping classics (bully's, vintage cars), where you can always meet like-minded people. Sometimes the new acquaintances are so good that sleep suffers a little. In short, there's nothing to complain about here ------ except that the vacation is much too short.

"What counts is the facial artwork - and that is 100% true here - I should say in advance that I've been coming here again and again for years, so I'm a bit biased by now 😉 But I can say that this place is not only very idyllic in a wonderful, but also very rural area, but is also an Eldorado for children. A lake where you can splash around to your heart's content, with a wealth of wildlife to discover. The children love the wide open space across a large square, where there are no parcels, where they can let off steam and where they can quickly make friends if necessary. My wife and I love it, even though we unfortunately don't have any grandchildren yet. We also love sitting around an open fire in the evening, with a fire bowl of course. And because not everyone has one, the campsite manager is happy to provide one if you buy the necessary wood from him. In general, the Hug family makes every effort to ensure that their guests always feel at home. And - sorry - if things get a little louder, at least we both remember that we were once very young and liked to party. We still do that today - but now we prefer to do it at the Hammerschmiede! Even the somewhat contact-shy chic camper, who now drives his ultra-modern home on four wheels, can find a quiet spot for himself here!
