- Fanny M.August 2024PozitivnoThis campsite really only has one thing going for it: a great location. Directly on the NOK with the only bathing spot on the entire canal.NegativnoDingy appearance. Too many permanent campers. No information on site. Showers for a fee 2min =1€, no toilet paper, unfriendly operators. Poor price/performance ratio.Money always guests neverApparently they are resting on their laurels HERE. We spontaneously looked for a pitch and the lady on the phone was very friendly and promised us one.
Once we arrived, we realized that this is probably more of a place for permanent campers. The whole site made a rather dingy impression on us. You had... to bring your own toilet paper, you had to pay for showers and they also turned themselves off after what felt like 20 seconds. If you had a question or request, you quickly got the feeling of being disturbed. Information was answered rather curtly and inhospitably. Somehow we didn't really feel comfortable. Actually a great pity. Great spot but so much untapped potential. Bike rental, mini kiosk or 24-hour vending machines, a second toilet block would be a sensible investment
An aging cow that is only being milked.Automatski prevedeno. - Tino N.September 2023PozitivnoThe location on the NOKNegativnoThe pitch The toilets Unfriendliness of the staffRatingHello campsite Klein Westerland
We were there, unfortunately your campsite leaves a lot to be desired, as does the friendliness of the staff.
The pitch was not equipped with grass as described but with very coarse gravel, so that the awning was difficult to set up.
As already described in August 2019,... the sanitary facilities are still in the same condition in September 2023.
Toilet paper and soap for washing hands are part of the basic equipment!!!
Prices agreed in writing were declared null and void upon registration and we were given a price increase on site.

- Derick S.May 2022PozitivnoCleanliness of the place generally good, friendly reception by the owner herself, who then forwarded the registration to the daughter and the daughter assigned us the place and accompanied us there and explained everything important. The electricity boxes and water connections with basins are getting on in years, but everything works! Clean restaurant, simple but tasty dishes, we will be back to eat again. And if we ever come back to the area to look at ships, we will gladly come back here.NegativnoThe buildings, electricity boxes and water connections need to be renovated or renewed. An aging campsite but topA clean, tranquil site on the NOK that is getting on in years, friendly reception with an escort to the pitch. Gravel paths, enough!Automatski prevedeno.
- Frank B.August 2021PozitivnoLocation, natureNegativno98% permanent campersNatural site directly on the Kiel CanalThe site is located directly on the Kiel Canal, but you can hear the diesel engines chugging quietly through the trees rather than seeing the ships. However, there is a small viewing point nearby.
Natural trees and hardly any paths make for a cozy atmosphere - just a natural site - and the sanitary... facilities are also okay (unfortunately the water was cold for us, but defects do happen), but due to the high number of permanent campers, the whole thing has more the charm of an allotment garden colony.
In nearby Burg (easy to reach by bike) you can get everything you need, on the site itself the gastronomy is unfortunately quite limited due to Corona and only open at weekends - absolutely understandable.Automatski prevedeno. - Theresa B.August 2019Pozitivno- directly on the Kiel Canal - small bathing areaNegativno- unfriendly - wrong price list online - no toilet paperAn ageing campsiteThe campsite itself is in a very nice location, right on the Kiel Canal. Unfortunately, the operator is not nice to her guests and the prices listed online are not correct. When I asked about this, I was told that there was no internet to change this. The campsite as a whole is very outdated, only the... sanitary facilities are quite new and well maintained (but no toilet paper, you have to bring your own). Price for one night: 2 adults + 1 dog + pitch (without electricity) = 21€ (electricity another +3€) Price list (from memory, information without guarantee): Adults: 4,50€ Dog: 3€ Pitch: 9€ Electricity: 3€Automatski prevedeno.
- Lars S.July 2019PozitivnoLocationNegativnoNo toilet paper, no WLANTop location, no toilet paper and no WLANThe location is unbeatable, right on the NOK with a view of the really big ships on the cycle path. World class! Delicious home cooking. Negatives: no toilet paper and no WLAN, shower tokens are also outdated. But we would love to come back.Automatski prevedeno.
- Albert R.June 2019PozitivnoLocationNegativnoHygiene in the sanitary areaRoom for improvementThe site is in a good location, but unfortunately the operators are a bit unfriendly. What should be better: paper in the toilet, soap dispenser for washing your hands and drying facilities for your hands, Wi-Fi at least once (e.g. reception). Overall, the site has a maintenance backlog. Well-situated campsite with good scenery.Automatski prevedeno.
- Rainer E.August 2018PozitivnoQuiet Clean sanitary facilities Bread roll service Great location directly on the canal You can cycle a lot directly on the canal Parceled pitchesNegativnoNo toilet paper, soap and paper towels Shower coins Long way to the sanitary building Lukewarm water when showering Waste disposalNice CP with small restrictionsWe were on the pitch for almost 3 weeks in August 2018. Impression.you should change some things.toilet paper soap and paper towels belong in the sanitary building. A second small sanitary building should be built at the other end of the CP. Otherwise the paths are very long. The water in the showers... was lukewarm. Staff friendly but only do the bare minimum. Concept should be reconsidered e.g. registration by email address is deposited. Payment by card would also be an advantage. Some things should be renewed or renovated. When disposing of garbage you have to register. No garbage can set up. Otherwise very quiet, great for relaxing, restaurant and bread service is OK. Fees are ok but should be updated on the homepage. Water yes, but no waste water at the pitch, as I said a great CP with small restrictions. New concept and changes will attract more campers. But maybe operators or owners don't want that either.Automatski prevedeno.
- dieter K.August 2018PozitivnoOnly good location, friendly bossNegativnosee above. How does this place get 4 starsConsiderable maintenance backlog, already the entrance gate hangs rotten in the hinges, the paths are worn out, the wooden parts urgently need paint, and the worst: No disposal.KleinertAutomatski prevedeno.
- Ronny H.September 2017PozitivnoLocation, sanitary facilities, pitch sizeNegativnoNo disposal station for motorhomesGreat place on the NOKA great natural site on the NOK! The pitches are generously sized and partly paved. Each pitch has a water/waste water connection and electricity. The sanitary facilities are as good as new, tidy and clean. There is a small restaurant. Of course, you shouldn't expect super luxury. But - we are campers... and have every conceivable comfort in our caravan! We have been to this site several times and have always felt very comfortable. The boats pass right by the caravan and there is a wonderful cycle path right by the canal. It's not far to the North Sea and the Baltic Sea. So there is no chance of boredom! There are so many ships passing by that there is always something to look at. We will be back !!!Automatski prevedeno.
- Johann (Hans) G.July 2016PozitivnoNature site on the Kiel CanalNegativnoPartly a little bit used upThe somewhat different placeThe special thing about the site is of course that it is the only one located directly on the Kiel Canal. Yes, the place looks as if its best days are behind it. We got a pitch in the 2nd row, from where you could still see the big boats. Level pitch with about 12 square meters paved in front of the... WW door. Old partition to the neighbor, old stainless steel sink with water and waste water, connection cable at the place. New san building, good restaurant with terrace for watching the boats. To the north of the campsite is a bathing bay with a sandy beach that is open to the canal. There is a cycle path along the canal where you are even closer to the boats. 1 km south at Dochdonn you can see the Dochdonner railroad bridge! Some ships just about fit through. 5km north, 1 + 6km south there is a ferry to cross to the other side. All ferries on the canal are free! Nice cycle tour to Burg (6km) then across the canal and 3km straight on to the lowest point of land in Germany at "Sachsenbande", approx. 3.5m below sea level. In Burg there is EDEKA and many possibilities to eat. The friendliness of the permanent campers should also be mentioned. We stayed a few days longer than we had planned. A great experience for us Bavarians!Automatski prevedeno.
- Annette S.June 2016PozitivnoNear the canal. Rolls.NegativnoLand under when it rains. Everywhere.Seems a bit abandoned. Not recommended for cyclists - or only in good weather. The location itself is good. The operators seemed very unenthusiastic. May have been due to the wet weather... The small tent area (you can't say meadow) is perhaps enough for six tents. There are two cobbled-together benches with a table. There... is also a shelter, usually very popular in the rain, with slabs - but it leaks, which I noticed the next day on my soaked saddle. And there was sand everywhere on the apparently newly laid slabs... I still haven't got it out of my panniers. Yuck. The sanitary facilities were clean and you could order bread rolls in advance. All in all, the site made a neglected, abandoned impression. I wouldn't have let my children on the playground - dangerous! However, the young lady of the house was in a good mood and friendly when I paid. That's all right...Automatski prevedeno.
- Peter I.September 2015PozitivnoVery favorable place and an indescribably good location directly on the canalNegativnoAccess with large trailer (caravan with 7.80m) a bit narrow.Fantastic location on the North Baltic Sea CanalWe had some really impressive days here and were closer to the big ships than ever before. The paths along the canal were great for walking and the food in the restaurant was very good. The ice cream sundaes on the terrace were the absolute highlightAutomatski prevedeno.

- Manuela S.March 2015Pozitivnosee ships up closeNegativnono toilet paper, no service, no supermarket---->only a parking space in an allotment garden colonyactually an allotment garden colonyWe were there two nights.arrival(lady very unfriendly)then unfortunately half an hour too early there, noon rest. Key for sanitary building (without it you can't get in, bad if you forget it in the caravan----> long way there)no toilet paper, no soap to wash your hands and no towels to dry them.in the... sanitary house strong smell of sewer or sewage, disgusting when you have to go to the toilet. from the "restaurant" every day smell of old fat, do not book a pitch there. in total there are only about 8 pitches available all others are leased to permanent campers. everyone has their pitch fenced in. you feel like an alien, at least that's how you are looked at. Playground outdated. Result: if you want a normal campsite you should not book there. the site is only suitable for people who want to see the big tankers and container ships, because they pass in front of your nose (provided you get a place in the first row, 2 euros extra). it was once a great experience, but you can also do this on a day trip from a proper campsite.Automatski prevedeno.
- Andre M.October 2014PozitivnoLocation on the Kiel Canal with sandy beachNegativnoNo toilet paperNice location but...The site is beautifully situated in a bay on the Kiel Canal. The only noise came from the occasional passing ships, which didn't bother us. We had a grass pitch where we could stand up straight without having to align ourselves. The pitch also had a sink for washing up as well as electricity and water... connections. Unfortunately, the lady was not particularly friendly when we checked in or out. Fortunately, we read the information sheet provided in good time. There is no toilet paper in the sanitary building so DO NOT FORGET!Automatski prevedeno.
- Horst G.September 2014Rest and relaxationIf you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, the site makes an unkempt impression due to some dilapidated permanent pitches. The fact that there is neither soap nor paper to dry your hands in the toilets is not up to modern standards. The small restaurant serves good food for everyone.Automatski prevedeno.
- Kai S.July 2013Hello and hello, sorry - but unfortunately I found the site generally unkempt and rather outdated. Playground, paths, all the wooden shacks and old unused caravans. The key to the sanitary block was jammed, it wasn't cheap either, the showers were 70 cents, nope - I won't be back.Automatski prevedeno.
