"pleasant stay in cormatin - the pitches are well sized and the site is clean and well run. the sanitary facilities are in good order and always well maintained. a quiet stay overall and there is a market in cormatin on september 11th !

"very nice place - We were here again on our escape from CORONA. The whole site is well-kept, tidy and clean. Some of the pitches are very large, even for large caravans or motorhomes, and are absolutely sufficient. The two sanitary facilities are ok, the one behind the reception is a bit newer, the one down at the site is more of a French standard, the cleaning staff do a great job, everything is always very clean. The campsite is closed during the lunch break from 12:00 to 14:00. There is a small "dog door", the key to which every guest receives together with the barrier chip. Unfortunately, large groups of grape harvest workers from Bulgaria have been accommodated on the site since this year. This means about 15 igloo tents on 3 pitches and a good 20 - 25 people, tarpaulins stretched between the trees, a camp mentality prevails. According to information from the reception, the municipality of Cormation has so far provided residential containers, but now there are no funds for this, so the campsite has to be used. Restaurant on site, bread roll service.

"Pleasant campsite - We spent four nights here on our tour of Burgundy and didn't regret it. Cycle path right next door, town also within walking distance and pure tranquillity. We made various excursions from here (Cluny, Tournus, Paray le Monial). The pitch was pleasantly large and the whole site was very tidy and attractive. We would love to come back.

"Wonderful place in Cormatin - Very nicely landscaped (with hedges) site with an acceptable size per pitch. Almost all pitches with electricity. Flat terrain! Direct walk to Cormatin. Castle is wonderful. The place has very nice design with trees on the main street. Many small cafes and restaurants. Shopping also easily possible (baker, butcher, etc.) Taizé in the immediate vicinity - approx. 5 min. We have been here 3 times and would be happy to come again

"Nice campsite - We stayed at the campsite for two nights as we were passing through to visit Cluny and Taizè. Both were well worth it. We found both the pitch and the campsite very pleasant and beautiful. There is still room for improvement in the sanitary facilities, but at least they were clean. We received a very friendly welcome and felt very comfortable overall.

"The peace and quiet itself! - Originally only planned as a stopover, we stayed for several days. A quiet, very well-kept place, where only the sanitary facilities are a bit outdated. Due to its location directly on a "Voie Verte" (cycle path on a former railroad line), it is ideal for cycling excursions, e.g. to Cluny.

If you are looking for a natural campsite in Burgundy, then Camping Le Hameau des Champs is the place for you! This campsite is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet and for cycling enthusiasts, as it is located directly …on the 70-kilometre-long Voie Verte cycle route. Le Hameau des Champs campsite is located on the outskirts of the village of Cormatin, but the medieval town of Cluny is also not far away. Another advantage is the practical location of the site, which is ideal as a stopover for travellers heading further south, for example to Spain or France. The campsite is quiet and green, with the individual pitches separated by half-height shrubs. The campsite welcomes caravans, motorhomes, tents or folding trailers on up to 50 pitches. Those who prefer a little more comfort can stay in one of the ten holiday cottages. These can accommodate four, five or six people. There is a heated outdoor swimming pool with a separate area for toddlers. Right next to it is the La Belle Epoque café. In the pleasant atmosphere, you can enjoy cold drinks, a glass of wine, breakfast, snacks and small meals. The grocery store offers the most important products to help cyclists on stages or in case they have forgotten something. You can do your shopping in many small shops around the campsite: butchers, grocery stores, wine cellars, pharmacies, bakeries, tobacconists... After a swim in the water and a refreshing drink on the terrace, you can also explore the rest of the site. Play a game of boccia or table tennis while the children let off steam in the small playground. The campsite also has a multifunctional sports field where you can play football, basketball or handball.
