Sebastian K.June 2024Pozitivno- very nice, sufficiently large pitches, flat and meadow - Clean and good sanitary facilities - 2 restaurants directly at the campsite - Nice smaller lake, good for children because it is shallow at the edge - 2 beautiful pools on the campsite (one of them even indoors) - Baguette service on site - Few guests in the low season - town of Veynes nearby, but half an hour's walk away - you have to explore the surrounding area by carNegativnononeNice quiet place, beautiful pitches and lakeWe were here for a week with a caravan in the last week of June 2024. The site was only about 10% full, which was very pleasant. The pitches are loosely separated by vegetation, but not strictly separated by hedges. They are large enough and completely flat with beautiful green meadows. The campsite... consists of 2 parts, the (I assume) older one to the right of the access road and the newer one to the left. We were on the one on the right. There is a sanitary building there, which might reach its limits when fully occupied. On the other part (left) is a newer and larger sanitary building. Everything is clean and tidy. The lake is not too big, but it is sufficient for swimming and morning runs (one lap is about 1.0 km). It is particularly suitable for children because it is flat for a long time at the edge. There are high mountains all around. There are 2 very nice pools on the campsite, one outside and one inside. We often went to the restaurant at the campsite with a view of the lake, which serves pizza, among other things. The town of Veynes is a good walk away, at least 30 minutes, which is a long way in the heat. There is a regular market and supermarkets there. Hiking from the campsite is now rather difficult, we tried it on the mountain opposite.
All in all, a very nice place, but of course it was not very busy for us due to the low season. For a 2-week vacation, the immediate surroundings might not offer me enough, apart from Veynes there is nothing within walking distance.

However, there is a small river right next to it.
The operator and his staff are very friendly and helpful and provide lots of information about the surrounding area.
The pitches are very different. Fortunately, the pitch intended... for us was already occupied by mistake. Despite the large surface area, we would not have been able to set up with our caravan, tent and SUV, as there were trees planted in the middle.
As we were traveling in the low season, we were able to choose another suitable pitch.
We felt very comfortable.
You could always pre-order baked goods the day before, which were all very tasty, especially the grain bread with nuts.
After our hikes, we always relaxed in the beautiful pool area.
There are also good shopping opportunities in Veynes.
It was a great start to our tour of the south of France. Great campsite. New and well-kept sanitary facilities. Breakfast baguette to order - delivered by bike. The siblings are very committed and answer every question. Great tips for hiking and cycling tours in the area, adapted to the... weather and wind direction. You can tell that they know their area very well and are out and about a lot themselves. They offer lots of gpx files for your GPS for hiking, cycling and mountain biking, which are also available on the Sitytrail.com site. The campsite is the first in France to be certified by BirdLive International. There are many different trees for various birds and also nesting boxes for bats on the extensive grounds.Automatski prevedeno.

The sanitary facilities are cleaned regularly, but you may find yourself without... light late in the evening while showering. Good for splashing around. Otherwise not much to do outside. Sanitary facilities sparse, but ok and clean. We were a little annoyed that our 9-month-old son was charged €2 per day. In my opinion, that shouldn't be the case. Overall, I don't think the reference price... is right (anymore?). If I have understood correctly, the cheapest place costs 27€. The campsite has everything we needed. From fishing, swimming and cycling to the adjacent climbing park, everything is possible on the campsite. Twice a week there is a small concert in the restaurant where you can eat very well. The... sanitary facilities are cleaned daily and are clean. You can hear the train and the road on the pitches, but that didn't bother us. The operators speak German and are always happy to help with any questions. The site was only sparsely occupied, so we were able to choose a pitch with some shade. The layout of the site is a little rustic, with somewhat unconventional planting. The pitches are stony and the sparse grass cover was already quite dried out.... A newer part of the site with water and waste water connections at each pitch was not yet occupied at the time of our stay. The sanitary facilities are new and very well maintained. The owners are friendly and helpful. They speak German. The campsite has a lovely swimming pool with two covered pools and a whirlpool. Bread can be ordered at reception for the next day. The beautiful, warm bathing lake with pebble beach is only a few steps away. There is also an attractive restaurant with moderate prices. The small town of Veynes with its many shops can be reached by bike in ten minutes. We were able to go on several nice bike rides on the well-developed departmental roads in the area, which are hardly used by traffic. We were initially disturbed by the noise from the busy D994 and a railroad line.Automatski prevedeno.

- Jeff D.July 2014Pozitivnothe lake and river nearby, hiking and biking from the campsite, the welcome, the setting, the cleanliness, the heated poolvery good, nothing to complain aboutwe'd chosen this campsite on the internet because of the nearby hiking and mountain-biking trails, the "nature" activities on offer for the kids, and because we hate taking the car to go swimming! It's OK to drive a few km to visit a nice village, or go for a day hike... but loading the canoe, the inflatable... animals and the balloons into the car, no thanks! So we weren't disappointed, because the lake is right next to the campsite, and the water is nice and warm. As for activities, there are plenty to choose from, and you can get a guidebook at reception for 50 cents, with advice from the owner who has tested all the circuits. Well, the kids preferred the acrobranche at the end of the lake to the hikes! We did manage to get them to walk with a guide, as there are guided hikes to observe chamois (we saw 5), vultures and fossils. In short, our 3 selection "criteria" were met beyond our expectations, so we'll definitely be back! We recommend this campsite, but ask for pitches with a bit of shade, because even though we're close to the mountains, the sun beats down hard in the middle of the day!Automatski prevedeno.
