Friendly and uncomplicated reception by Mrs. Werner. Only cash payment possible. The sanitary facilities are old, simple and clean. The pitches have water and electricity connections. All pitches are on grass. Some have a paved terrace... and vary in size. There is a bread roll service with bakery rolls, but no store for daily needs. Bad Zwischenahn is approx. 3 km away, where there are plenty of shops and a large selection of restaurants. If you like, you should definitely try smoked eel or fried eel in the "Spieker". For us this is a must!

The site is beautiful and in a central location. A nice footpath goes directly opposite in about 3 km to Bad Zwischenahn. Cycling is just as great. Once around the lake 13 km with nice refreshment stops. You should weigh up your choice... of pitch. There are wonderful places with a view of the Weinfeld. You just have to know that the pigeons will shit all over your caravan. If this bothers you, it's better to choose a pitch without trees. This pigeon droppings are not without and beer mat large. The site itself is small so booking recommended we used the web booking and it worked well. ,Pitches are flat and of... ample size and for our large tent felt roomy. the facilities were clean and sufficient for the site. There is not a shop on site but many nearby in the town and you can order bread for the morning or get from the van which visits some days. The family are very welcoming and did their best to communicate with us with out little German and their limited English, There are restaurants nearby and there is one on the doorstep but they were closed for their holidays.

The site is beautifully laid out like a park and visually blends into the surrounding tree nurseries. The whole site is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are simple but in very good condition... and are cleaned several times a day. You can tell from everything that the Werner family are campers, they realize what they themselves have always wanted on the road. They are also all very friendly and helpful. Fresh rolls, bread and cakes are now also available during the week, as the local baker comes to the campsite in the morning. At the weekend, the Werner family will deliver the desired rolls if ordered in advance. The center of Bad Zwischenahn is easy to reach on foot and by bike, the bus to Oldenburg stops about 100 m from the campsite and the trip there costs only € 1.00 per trip and person thanks to the spa card. We will continue to visit this beautiful campsite and the friendly family several times a year.Automatski prevedeno.

It is not clear to us what explanation you would have liked from us.
The Easter offer 2019 is valid from 18.04. - 22.04.2019 (Easter) and since our campsite is currently fully booked during this period, we unfortunately had to inform you that we have no more pitches available over Easter.
In addition, we offered in the e-mail and by telephone that we would contact you should a pitch become available at short notice.
Your criticism of the "comings and goings" is, as in many things, in the eye of the beholder. It can perhaps be explained by the fact that, due to the size of the site with only 44 pitches, pitch changes are more frequent than on a large campsite. Nevertheless, we are not a "transit site". Our campsite is a popular place for our guests of all nationalities to relax.
It is very important to us to maintain an open and fair relationship with our guests. We always assume that this is based on reciprocity.
Unfortunately, we do not feel that we have been treated fairly here. Even the first contact by phone was positive. As we were not sure of our arrival time, we were told that the barrier was always... open and that we could simply choose a free pitch (no "reserved" sign) as the reception was not always manned. Not every campsite is so uncomplicated and simple. The sanitary facilities have been partially renovated, washing-up facilities are now available and the reception has been cleared of superfluous items. The owner family is very friendly, the bread roll service at the weekend works, the sanitary facilities are very clean. We wish the Werner family all the best and much success for the operation of this site and are pleased to have a place to go in Bad Zwischenahn again, even if the amount of the spa fee corresponds to a North Sea spa. We were at this campsite in May 2015. The proximity to Bad Zwischenahn and the good opportunities to explore the surrounding area by bike brought us here. It is also easy to travel by public transport. The bus stop is 200m from the campsite. You can reach Oldenburg by bus, but you can also travel in the other direction to Bad Zwischenahn station. From Bad Zwischenahn station you then have other options. For example, we took the train with our bikes via Leer to Papenburg. We then cycled along the river Ems back to Leer and continued by train to Bad Zwischenahn. You can get to Bad Zwischenahn and the Zwischenahner Meer very quickly by bike. There is a good restaurant next to the campsite. For us, Bad Zwischenahn is an ideal starting point for many interesting destinations. Even a day trip to an island is no problem. The pitches on the site are large and the electricity connection is 16A. Water is not far away. The pitches are allocated. The operator was friendly. Only with some permanent campers did you get the feeling that you were somehow a nuisance and were only tolerated for a short time. The toilets/showers are clean, but not quite up to date. Showers are included. There is no kitchen, chemical toilet is available. TV reception was also possible with DVB-T. Snacks, drinks and beer were available at the reception. Shopping can be done at Netto, 10 minutes by bike or Aldi / Rewe near the train station Bad Zwischenahn about 15 minutes by bike. If you are looking for a good starting point for many attractive destinations, can make do with simple showers and toilets and are looking for peace and relaxation, this is the place for you. However, if you expect a stylish kitchen, a sanitary area with underfloor heating, LED lighting and background music, a reception like in the Maritim, you should go further.
