"Unfortunately only passing through - I think the place somehow comes off badly in the rating. We were given a very nice welcome....not a must, but the reception even spoke German, were delighted with the swimming pool...(there is even a small indoor swimming pool), the restaurant was delicious and the waiters were friendly. There was even entertainment for children. They were playing with colors. The night was also quiet and the sanitary facilities were clean. We had even considered staying a few more nights, but as confirmed by the staff, it was going to be rainy the next few days and so we used the wet days to get to our destination. So if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay longer.

"NATURE AT ITS BEST - It is close to one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, Ainsa. The place is beautiful, and is fully equipped. They have a small welcome gift.

"Discreet - The initial price of 34 euros seemed really too much for staying only one night, but at the gesture of leaving the clerk held us back by offering the reduced rate for those not using any of the site's many attractions: 23 euros. Not bad for cleanliness and quiet, well organized.

"Slechte camping voor rustzoekers en echte kampeerders. - Camping lijkt in eerste instantie wel mooi, maar na eens goed rondgekeken te hebben viel het ons toch behoorlijk tegen en wilden dus snel weer weg. Maar wij hadden ons al aangemeld en hadden een plaats toegewezen gekregen.wij konden dat niet meer ongedaan maken en moesten ondanks dat we niet wilden blijven, toch betalen. Damessanitair was smerig en er hing een penetrante rioollucht. Zwembad is mooi op de foto, maar het lijkt zwaar voorzien van chemicalien. In de afgesloten ruimte hangen zware chloordampen. Verder veel te kleine plaatsjes en te dicht op elkaar. Daardoor veel last van lawaaierige overige bezoekers. Kampingwinkel is small and te duur. Wij zijn toch naar een andere camping in de buurt vertrokken. Heel mooie en rustige SVR camping, met zeer vriendelijke eigenaar. Daags erna kwam hier een nieuwe bezoeker. Kwam ook van Montanesa en was net als wij, daar ook weggevlucht.

"Peña Montañesa, Ainsa - Large, well-equipped campsite. Separate pitches for caravans. Restaurant 500 m. Priced among the more expensive ones, cost us 29,1 EU. Good base for trips to Ordesa Park. Views of the snow-capped Pyrenees.

Camping Peña Montañesa is situated near the entrance of the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. It is the ideal site to relax and feel at ease in the rough, virgin Pyrennes. Unlimited possibilities to enjoy an active vacation …in the mountains and adventure sports: walking-tours, excursions, mountaineering, canoeing, rafting, hunting, fishing, skiing, horse riding, 4x4, BTT... Approximately 2 Km. further south lies the historical village of Ainsa, whitch is a National Monument and the Mediano resort. The campsite offers several beatiful swimming-pools, a covered and heated swimming-pool with sauna and yacuzzi, free hot water in showers and a playground for the children. Close to the entrance of the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido and the river Cinca, Peña Montañesa is the camping you are looking for. Peaceful and quiet holidays as well as numerous activities in an agreeable climate.
