"directly on the beautiful beach - You have to like large and spacious places. As a result, the children were up until the middle of the night running around. It was nice and pleasant for us.

"Top place - Directly by the sea, large pitches, in low season senior price 22 euros, a bargain for what is on offer. Spacious, clean sanitary facilities, free choice of pitches, friendly staff, can recommend the site.

"Super campsite. - The site is huge, but that didn't bother us at all. Most of the pitches were surrounded by trees or hedges, so there was plenty of privacy. Right on the beach and lots for children to do. We would love to come back. Reception was quick and friendly. Supermarket with bakery also great.

"Large campsite on a beautiful sandy beach - Very large campsite. The pitches are partly separated by hedges, many with shade. Quite a large swimming pool, supermarket and restaurant. The sanitary facilities are modern and very clean. The site is situated on a very nice sandy beach, the town of Noja is about 10 minutes' walk away. The zoo listed on the website was unfortunately only open twice a week for an hour in high season.

"Very nice place "despite the club atmosphere" - A very large, well-organized site with a full range of supermarkets (very well stocked), camping equipment, hairdresser, restaurant, chicken fryer, swimming pool (rather simple) and other facilities. Nevertheless, we also found the site suitable for individual campers. The pitches are large enough on firm sand/earth. In the eastern half of the site, the pitches are bordered by narrow bushes and small trees; there is less shade here than in the western half of the site with larger trees. The mobile homes make a tidy impression and are sufficiently spaced out at the outer ends of the pitches. There are a few permanent campers. At weekends, the site fills up with weekend vacationers from Bilbao and Santander. This increases the noise level during the day and in the evening, but it is still very quiet at night from midnight (the site lighting is switched off). The sanitary facilities are adequately sized, modern and still fairly clean despite the weekend crowds thanks to constant cleaning. The beach is fine sandy and shallow in a bay, making it suitable for children. Rocks block the view of the neighboring hotel complexes of Noja.

"Super nice place - Beautifully located campsite right on the beach. Excursions to Santander or the Picos de Europa. Been there about 7 times in total, but since I have a dog this is unfortunately no longer possible. What a shame..... Maybe the management will reconsider their position on guests with dogs at some point....

Profil

Camping Playa Joyel is well-located on the Cantabric Sea and surrounded by Noja Natural Wetlands Reserve and the beautiful extensive sandy beach of Ris. Four kilometres of fine sand certainly make Ris beach the busiest in Noja, both for service …quality and access, as well as its excellent summertime facilities. Opposite Ris is the island of San Pedruco, a natural paradise protected by an abundance of vegetation and inhabited by thousands of seagulls. The island is accessible at low tide. The beaches north-facing orientation produces an abundance of long high tubular waves, making this an excellent spot for surfing, especially in a southerly wind.

Along the northern motorway A-8, take exit No. 184 (Beranga, Noja, Isla) coming to town of Beranga. Follow all signs for the town of Noja along the CA-147. Once you reach the entrance of the town and find the Pharmacy …on your left, take the roundabout and take the exit for PLAYA DE RIS. Drive down the Ris Avenue until you see the beach in front of you. At the end of Avenida de Ris, when you have the beach just in front of you, turn left once again, leaving the sand dunes on your right. We are on the left side of the beach of Ris.
