We stayed at this campsite 13 years ago. Now, on our way to the Atlantic, we have visited this campsite again. How time has stood still!!! Nothing, nothing at all has changed! Everything is as overgrown and unkempt as it was back then. Too bad for the good location and the surroundings... The good restaurant and the friendliness at reception are unfortunately not enough for more than one overnight stay.

Nice place to stay overnight on the N145
The site is located on a small bathing lake on the edge of La Souterraine and is very easy to reach from the N145. Very friendly reception, knowledge of French is very helpful here. The site is laid out on a wooded slope in a fairly relaxed manner. The lower area by the lake has plenty of shade and the... pitches are separated by hedges and trees. The upper area is separated from the lower area by the wooded slope and is partly on a meadow. Some of the pitches are quite sloping. Two pitches each have a water point and electricity connection. The beach itself is a public beach in front of the campsite. The campsite is very quiet, at most there is some noise towards the beach. The sanitary facilities are somewhat carelessly "cobbled together" and of the simplest kind. But at least it was clean. Baguettes are available to order. The restaurant on site with a terrace by the lake is recommended. It's a 20-30 minute walk to the town.
