I was totally disappointed.
After one day we had to change pitches, as it was almost impossible to find our way around due to broken signs placed in the corner.
Not to mention the size of the pitch, which is on a... par with a campsite.
The wash houses are in the same condition as they were decades ago. Fossils from that time hang from the ceiling.
Any access to the lake is skillfully prevented, whether with SUB, or for fishing, etc., although permits are offered.
The staff cannot answer the simplest questions.
Prices at the lakeside restaurant, galactic, bockwurst with bread, €10, currywurst, €18, perfect for families.
The access to the lido has probably been out of order for a long time, according to the staff: you should use the path around the outside.

The lido, which I have been going to for many years, now resembles a goose shit cesspit.
The resident permanent campers are the kings here and can do what they want and that should be the concept here.

We have a pitch by the water where you can only guess that there is water. Since today there is someone standing next to us and you feel like a fish in a can. From our awning we can now see a hedge or a camper... van, but to charge even more for this is outrageous.
Perhaps they should consider no longer offering tourists and instead focus on permanent campers who, in my opinion, think they are better than us and think they have the right to regulate tourists.
It's just a shame for dogs, they can't get into the water because everything is made inaccessible by fences or hedges.
Let's not start with the state of the sanitary facilities and cleanliness, there are already enough reviews on the net.

According to the flyer, south is only for festival campers and dogs are also prohibited. However, I was accommodated with my tent on the south side of the lake. The first thing I came across on the site was a dog with a man on a lead. The sanitary... buildings are a bit outdated. The sanitary building at the entrance only has cold water at the washbasins. There are probably no showers in the rear sanitary building and if there were, the doors were locked during my stay. On the whole, a very beautifully situated campsite which is unfortunately not maintained and cared for by its operator. Unfortunately, this also applies to the paths and green areas, and unfortunately you can also hear the nearby highway very strongly.Automatski prevedeno.

The route practically went past it. The staff were friendly and helpful, the tourist pitch was okay for one night. The sanitary facilities were dated but really clean. Tourist pitches are close to the entrance - I found that good, just easy arrival and departure. car-free place! The site warden is a typical Rhinelander, gruff but cordial. There is a private access to the beautiful lido, playground,... everything there. The sanitary facilities in the front part of the site are really old, but functionally furnished and as clean as it is possible at that age. The surrounding area has a lot to offer tourists - if you get bored here, it's your own fault. The only real complaint I have is the restaurant next door, overpriced for really poor quality with unfriendly staff. But hey, you can eat somewhere else! We will be back 100%!Automatski prevedeno.

- Bernhard H.March 2016PozitivnoCentral, relatively cheap, sanitary facilities mostly clean, ideal for overnight stays, friendly staffNegativnoPartly old sanitary facilities, poor heating in the shower rooms, sometimes very loud ambient noiseMostly clean, but very noisy - friendly staffWe stayed at this site over Easter 2016 and were allocated a pitch at the front of the site. The parcelling of the tourist pitches is not very clear, and at night the paths are very poorly lit or not lit at all. In my opinion, the fuse protection for the power connections is just about adequate, even... if the fuse in the distributor blew once: the coffee machine and hairdryer were obviously a bit too much - but this hasn't been a problem on other pitches so far. No problem, you can switch them back on without a groundsman. The sanitary facilities are quite old, to say the least, but largely clean. However, the campsite operator should try using the showers when it's 6°C outside. The heating is running at full blast, but there is hardly any heat in the showers. Our children would certainly have come out of the showers sick. In my opinion, there is a clear need for action here, as the large sanitary block is open right up to the roof and therefore draws all the heat upwards. Knowing full well, however, that we were there right at the start of the season and the site is obviously closed in the winter months anyway. Nevertheless. Even in early summer or fall, it can get really cold at times. Then you have the same problem. The toilet facilities are a little older, but have always been clean - that's important! However, there are no paper towels or hand dryers at the hand basins in the toilets in the large sanitary building. As there are no drain plugs for the sinks, you either need lots of water to wash your dishes or a second washing-up bowl so that you don't have to put your clean dishes on the sometimes dirty draining areas of the sinks. The bin area for garbage disposal is an imposition. Completely overfilled garbage containers, obviously abandoned camping garbage and generally completely littered. The registration staff are very friendly and courteous. They are always available to answer questions and look after the guests - that's great! However, when you arrive you don't get an overview map of the site with the most important facilities or any other information. True to the motto "If you don't ask, you stay stupid". But the constant questions can also be very unpleasant from the guest's point of view. There is a small store in the registration area where you can buy the essentials. Steel gas bottles, both 5 and 11 kg, can be exchanged. You can also get freshly baked bread rolls here in the morning. All in all, we didn't get to see much of the campsite as we were always out and about during the day. So, now for the really unpleasant part of this review... The location is ambivalent. You can be in the city and surrounding area in a flash, so this site is a very good starting point for day trips. You are quickly on the highway, whether BAB A3, A46 or A59. However, in our opinion, the road noise around the clock was very disturbing. You can hear the Rothenbergstraße as well as the nearby highways and, last but not least, the airport in all its facets quite well. But we were really annoyed by some of our fellow campers! I don't know whether they were permanent or tourist campers, but apparently nobody cares about a good night's sleep there. We have never heard loud bawling, music or shouting at night with such frequency and regularity at any other campsite! It is clear that the operator is not directly responsible for this. But in this respect, no one seems to care enough to put a stop to it. And before the question arises: No, we weren't the only guests who found it annoying. My personal impression is that as a tourist camper on this site, which is mainly used by permanent campers, you are not really welcome - including stupid remarks and finger-pointing shortly after arriving on the pitch when setting up your caravan and camping equipment. Then that's the way it should be. Unfortunately, the region doesn't offer many alternative sites.Automatski prevedeno.

Somewhat (but not very) annoying is the highway, positive the location in the middle of the recreation area with many recreational opportunities (including high ropes course!) The sanitary facilities are no longer the youngest, but well maintained and clean. The site is located at the Unterbacher See recreation area and is really dominated by permanent campers, but that doesn't hurt - during our visit the general atmosphere was very relaxed. Entry to the lido is included in the camping... price. The sanitary buildings are adequately sized, but unfortunately a little older. The sanitary facilities were always basically clean, but if you look behind the surface (or under the roof), there are already cobwebs. But it's all just a question of appearance. Good food options in the immediate vicinity, we were able to take advantage of the bread roll service. Very good for a city campsite - certainly unrivaled in the surrounding area.
