"Camping vacation - We were already 2 x in August there always had beautiful weather, it is a beautiful area for cycling or hiking. The swimming pond and the Kneipanlage is also beautiful. We will come back next year!

"Small but mighty🥰 - A beautiful small, idyllic ((dog-free😁)Campingplatz☺️man has everything you need.quiet,with lots of nature,clean sanitary facilities etc...Very nice operator and a great restaurant,right on the square,with a friendly cordial innkeeper,where you can eat fine kann☺️danke to all and gladly again anytime

"Small, fine campsite - In times of Corona and the restricted freedom to travel in July, the CP was very busy, so advance booking was recommended. Very friendly, open-minded and helpful staff. Perfect catering and sanitary facilities in the adjoining sports and cultural center. Very well equipped.

"A WONDERFUL CAMPSITE - ...a feel-good campsite in the small community of Waldenstein with approx. 1,200 inhabitants. In this community there is still - with the help of the municipality - a local grocery store. The inhabitants are very friendly and you feel very much at home in the village community. This was clearly expressed at the 50th anniversary celebrations of the beautification association.

"Small, fine, new space - Very friendly operators - honestly trying to offer a nice and comfortable place! Very familiar atmosphere. Level pitches - partly gravel, partly grass, with privacy protection. Small swimming pond and tennis courts virtually right next to the site and easy to use (restaurant was unfortunately closed during our stay). Washing up and sanitary facilities clean, but if there is more activity (only 2 pitches occupied during our stay) then it might be a bit cramped (only 1 dishwashing area) and the sanitary facilities would probably have to be cleaned more often.

"Ideal for a time-out - The small but nice campsite was set up next to an inn and has 12 pitches on two levels. Electricity and water connections are available everywhere (the 6 upper pitches also have waste water connections). Next to it is a graduation facility and a bathing pond, as well as the sports and cultural center. Just under 4 km away is the Sole-Felsen-Bad am Aßangteich and approx. 11 km away is the Blockheide.

The new small, mordern campingsite Waldenstein is in an unique place near the graduation house and the Waldenstein Centre for Sports and Arts. The silent place will enthuse all of you, who want to enjoy nature, silence and the hidden …jewels of the Waldviertel. The silent place will attract all of you, who will get out and enjoy nature. On the campingsite you can start your hike or bike trail through the amazing landscape of the Waldviertel. From Waldenstein you can easily reach several places of interest. Like the nature reserve Blockheide, the Sole-Felsen-Bad (indoor swimming and sauna), the Unterwasserreich in Schrems, the narrow-gauge-railway Waldviertelbahn, the castle and old town in Weitra or one of the interesting handicraft workshops. Come to see Waldenstein and the admirable landscape of the Waldviertel!

Coming from the West or North Via motorway A7/S10 to Freistadt, there you take road B38/B41 to Gmünd, at the first roundabout leave towards Sole-Felsen-Bad, Waldenstein Coming form the South or East Via road B37/B38 to Zwettl, there you take …road B36 until you reach the junction towards Kirchberg/Walde, Gmünd; then you follow the signs towards Weißenalbern, Waldenstein Journey description in Waldenstein At the junction with road L8211 towards Weißenalbern, Klein Ruprechts, follow this road. Then you go ahead for about 400m. After you have passed the town sign Waldenstein, turn to the left. Here is the entry to Camping Waldenstein! If you come from Kirchberg/Walde, Weißenalbern, Klein Ruprechts, you will find the entry for Camping Waldenstein directly after the small bridge (before the town sign). Please turn right and you are here.
