"Limited offer in winter - We were on site for 5 days. We were informed in advance by e-mail that during the storm surge times the WW can only be parked in the rear area of the mobile homes. What we hadn't considered was the lack of a water connection at the pitch. The sanitary facilities are clean but a bit dated. If you don't have a problem with spiders on the ceilings, they are perfectly usable. As the windows in the showers were permanently open, the length of stay is rather short despite the heating for hot showers. There is of course plenty of sand both in the showers and on the whole site, but this is unavoidable due to the beach location. There is hot water in the showers and at the rinsing stations, but the hot water temperature fluctuates during use (we were always alone in the showers). Unfortunately there is no hot water at the washbasins in the shower room. It is a pity that the gastronomy on the site will be completely discontinued from mid-October except for the bread roll service. I think the overnight price should also be different here. The transport links by bike via the cycle path to Hamburg, as well as by bus to the square (stop 100m, ElbeCamp, line 388 from / to Rissen S-Bahn) which runs every hour is good. The satellite reception is rather difficult due to many trees. W-lan unfortunately only available outside, usually not in the WW. The place is recommended for a short stay until the end of October. In summer, due to the direct location, certainly also for a longer stay. There is also a small playground on the site. Conclusion: Highly recommended for city breaks. Especially when container ships and passenger ships pass directly in front of the WW, a great spectacle for landlubbers!

"Super nice place - A real paradise for children, standing in the middle of the sand, in the immediate vicinity of the beach and the Elbe. Playground, bread roll service, café, etc. all available on site.

"Beautifully located at the gates of Hamburg - An interesting campsite. Ideal for children. Suitable for couples for the great location just outside Hamburg. Would be nice if there were "footpaths" that were cleared of sand, then the sanitary facilities wouldn't be so dirty. It was still nice.

"To feel good - The satisfaction and calmness that the employees radiate is admirable, arriving is fun and you feel in good hands right from the start. it makes you very sad when you have to hear that the place is warned by the authorities that it would restrict the leisure activities of some who probably don't even know the area 🧐😏

"Very loud and many guests from outside the camp - A lot of noisy children on the playground, which do not even belong to the place, totally outdated sanitary facilities, water temperature weser vei the showers inoch beim Abwasch einstellbart. Cold to lukewarm. Outlet of the chemical toilet right next to the sink, The cleaning lady washes her cloths and buckets in the dishwashing sink. A lot of bureaucracy and paperwork. There are one or two receipts for everything. You have to take the lady's word for the electricity. There is neither a bill nor can you see the meter.

Profil

Campen direkt an der Elbe, wo große Container- und Kreuzfahrtschiffe vorbeiziehen. Sandstrand und Natur genießen, mitten im Grünen, aber nur 25 Minuten vom Zentrum der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg entfernt. Auf dem ElbeCamp am Falkensteiner Ufer bei Hamburg-Blankenese finden Sie …eine lockere Beachclub- und Camping-Atmosphäre, kombiniert mit Erholung auf schönen Stellplätzen mit Elbblick. Hier fühlen sich deutsche und internationale Gäste, Hamburger Campingfans und Weltenbummler, junge und ältere Paare, Familien mit Kindern und auch Gruppen wohl. Die Stellplätze haben meist Sandboden, umrahmt von Grasflächen und Schatten spendenden Bäumen. Falls sich jemand festfährt, hilft die freundliche Platzleitung gerne mit dem Traktor. Vom Platz geht es direkt an den feinsandigen Elbstrand zum Sonnen, Buddeln, Volleyball spielen oder Grillen. Mutige baden hier, denn die Elbe ist in den letzten Jahren deutlich sauberer geworden. Dabei beachten Badegästeimmer die Ebbe- und Flutströmungen und die Bugwellen vorbeifahrender Schiffe. Das ElbeCamp ist eine hervorragende Ausgangsbasis für Ausflüge in die City, an die Alster und den Hamburger Hafen, ins Blankeneser Villen- und Treppenviertel oder auf die andere Elbseite: zur Apfel- und Kirschblüte ins Alte Land, dem größten Obstanbaugebiet weit und breit. Mit dem Fahrrad geht es elbabwärts zur weltweit einmaligen Schiffsbegrüßungsanlage in Willkommhöft in Wedel-Schulau: Hier werden die aus Richtung Nordsee einlaufenden Schiffe mit der jeweiligen Nationalhymne willkommen geheißen.
