It is very quiet and you can go on many hikes on site, even with a dog. The tenant couple are very friendly and open to dogs. The rental caravan, like the whole site, was clean and there was nothing to complain about. The campsite has a large children's playground, a pool and a fire pit, so that families with children can also have fun here. You can see trees everywhere and hear the water from the stream. Depending on the side, there is shade or sun on the tent all day long. Great depending on the season.
The sanitary facilities are getting on in years, but clean and adequate. There... is even decent toilet paper (this is not a matter of course, as sandpaper is often offered). Unfortunately, there is only one double sink for dishes, which sometimes requires longer waiting times if several people come at the same time. The snack bar has everything you need. The site is in a great location and is also reasonably priced. The operators of the campsite try everything to make you feel comfortable. Hiking is very worthwhile there. We will definitely be back next year. The location of the campsite is unique. Well in advance booked.two weeks before arrival again called according to appointment. Everything was arranged.When I arrived there they had made a mistake.
What kind of mistake?
It is an oblong campsite with a swimming pool in front and a parking... lot in front.
We were allowed to stand behind the cars on the gravel. After I indicated that I did not want that, he nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders.
Just walked around the campground old junk .unbelievable that the reviews are so good .
Fortunately there are many camping sites in the hartz that are good.

It is idyllically situated behind Lonau and the road ends in the forest. The owners are unique and lovely, the landlady is the world's best cook. The place is ideal for children. The whole environment is attentive and very friendly, the interaction with each other is informal. Rental caravans are clean and tidy on arrival, sanitary facilities are cleaned several times a day. The swimming pool and playground leave nothing to be desired for the children. I can only recommend a vacation with children at the Lonau campsite.Automatski prevedeno.

The good soul of the place Martina and the groundskeeper Wolfgang have made a lot of effort to make our stay great. Super tasty food (breakfast and dinner at absolutely fair prices), a beautiful swimming pool with water slide and a location in the middle... of the forest. The hiking trail starts right by the campsite. A short walk leads to the capercaillie enclosure, where the feeding and explanation takes place at 10 in the morning.Automatski prevedeno.

The operators are very nice and helpful. The pool is clean and I don't think you're anywhere as close to the pool as in Lonau :-) There are also plenty of sun loungers, chairs, parasols and vehicles for children, which everyone... can use freely. The wooded area is great for walking, even with dogs, which are also very welcome on the site. BUT: We are traveling with caravans and I cannot recommend the site for this. The access road is very narrow (2.60m at the narrowest point in the village). The space for those passing through is very small and everyone stands in a criss-cross pattern, so leaving can be quite an "experience". You stand behind a kind of shed in which there is a men's and a women's toilet, but only with cold water. There is also a makeshift outdoor sink here, also with cold water and, unfortunately, some garbage. There is also a sanitary building with a ladies' and a men's shower, for which you need a shower token and then have to lock up the entire washing area. All in all, it's a nice, small site with mostly permanent campers who are like a big family and very hard-working operators. I would recommend the site for 1-3 nights for a family with a tent and smaller children to take a vacation in the swimming pool.Automatski prevedeno.
