Cabins should be slightly larger and have doors and shelves. Unfortunately, there are no pitches near the water for vacation campers. Only permanent campers there and some motorhome pitches.E.T.By and large a friendly campsite.
You receive a friendly welcome and are accompanied to your pitch. The operators always have a friendly word to say.
Unfortunately, the first row by the river is reserved for permanent campers and a few motorhome pitches.
Shopping facilities 5 minutes walk away in the... supermarket, with bakery.
The showers should be modernized, the cabins with simple shower curtains are too small and have no shelves. 60s standard.
But quite clean, as are all the sanitary facilities.
In the village in about 2km we could eat well, there are some restaurants.
The pitches are large and unparceled. Mostly flat meadow terrain with boat access.NegativnoSanitary facilities not up to date and unclean.Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired!The campsite is located directly on the Main, with the Main cycle path running along the banks. Our pitch was right next to the cycle path. From here you could watch the hustle and bustle on the water and start cycling tours in both directions. Campers with boats, canoes ... etc. are in good hands here.... Unfortunately, there was a main road on the opposite side of the Main with quite a lot of traffic, which really restricts peace and quiet. What we didn't like at all were the sanitary facilities. During the 4.5 days of our stay (long weekend over Corpus Christi) they were not even wiped down. In addition, they should have been renovated years ago. We can therefore only recommend this really beautifully situated site to a limited extent. What a shame really! Unfortunately, there is no bread roll service or catering. The nearest supermarket is approx. 5 - 6 minutes' walk away.Automatski prevedeno.

The tourist pitches are centrally located on the site, there are only two pitches that are directly in the first row, the rest are occupied by permanent campers. However, there is no classic permanent camper impression, as the... lower part of the site by the river has to be cleared in the fall, so there are no well-known allotments. If you like pure camping, i.e. no frills like animation etc. This is the right place for you. The paths to the sanitary building are a bit long, a bicycle is recommended. The sanitary building itself is not new, but quite well equipped. For example, there are disinfectant dispensers and toilet paper rolls in the individual toilet cubicles, hot water at the washbasins and even a stool in front of each shower to put down your clothes or towel. Great ! The building where the reception used to be and above it a restaurant is empty. The bread roll service advertised on the homepage no longer exists. However, the groundsman more than makes up for this shortcoming. He is a competent contact person in all situations, accompanies every newcomer to their pitch, helps with maneuvering onto the pitch, connects the electricity and is immediately available with tips for excursions or restaurants, for example. However, the lack of supplies directly on the pitch is also not necessary, as there is a Netto supermarket just a three-minute walk away, which has its own bakery counter as well as a bakery store in the entrance area, which is also open on Sunday mornings. Apart from that, the market naturally offers all the goods you need for basic supplies. As we are not fans of Netto, we also drove over the bridge in Klingenberg to Lidl. There you will also find Aldi, Edeka and, if necessary, a DIY store. It takes about 5 minutes to get there. The Main river right next to the site is ideal for all kinds of water sports. Swimming is possible, boating of all kinds and we also saw water skiers every day. It is also nice to see the large ships passing by. The main road on the other side of the Main is a little annoying, but at least at night it is quiet there too. There are lots of sights nearby, all within a short distance. A bicycle is also recommended here, the Main cycle path runs directly along the site and you can go on nice tours without any major inclines. In Klingenberg, we can recommend the Seltenbachtal, a narrow, dark gorge through which you can hike up a gentle 3-4 kilometer climb. There are also several well-signposted hiking trails, and we picked up information material at the tourist information office in Klingenberg. Overall, the place made a good impression on us and we will be happy to come back. Last but not least, the price rounded off the whole experience. Where else can you stay overnight with two adults and a dog in a caravan for less than €20? You can at the Mainwiese in Klingenberg!Automatski prevedeno.
