"Clean little square near Tours - We were there for one night on the last day of Pentecost 2023, passing through with a medium-sized caravan and dog. The operators / staff were nice and helpful when booking and on site. Rather small and simple campsite, well maintained. Site was half full at the time, many guests passing through, very quiet during the day and at night/evening. Some pitches nicely shaded and large enough, no problem even for large caravans. Electricity connection directly on the pitch. Water and waste water connection in the immediate vicinity. Sanitary facilities simple, but well maintained and clean, sufficient in number. Bread roll service available, supermarket approx. 1.5 km away Great location for exploring Tours by bike, great cycle paths to and in Tours. Good location for walking the dog too. Conclusion: small beautiful place, good location, surroundings "suitable for dogs", great for an overnight stay in transit and / or to explore Tours.

"City camping mediocre - The campsite is located on the Cher, which cannot be seen from the campsite and cannot be reached directly. There are a few benches with tables for cyclists and a kitchen with fridge, sink and microwave. No furniture. You can get bread & co. in the stores, approx. 5 min. by bike. The highway is easy to hear in a westerly wind. Showers with washbasin but only 2 open. Toilets also only 2, each without toilet lid.

"Good transit camping - Good location directly on the Loire dam. Clean sanitary facilities. Funny (except for hunting dog owners): The whole site is teeming with wild rabbits. Too few electricity connections, must be taken into account when choosing a pitch!

"for Loire castles - We actually only wanted to stay here for 2 days to visit the castles on the Loire. It turned into a week and we now know every castle. The site and the sanitary facilities are very clean. The staff are friendly. There was a problem with the electricity during our visit. We found lots of cut cables coming out of the ground but few power columns. Long cable necessary and the pillars were quickly occupied. There is free WiFi, but it can only be received in the main building. Many wild rabbits live on the site. Nice to look at. A car or scooter is necessary for sightseeing and excursions. The castles are too far away for bicycles.

For a quiet holiday, stay at the Onlycamp Tours Val de Loire campsite in Saint Avertin. Located on the banks of the Cher, this campsite is particularly aimed at people who want to be close to all the attractions of …the Loire Valley. The campsite has 110 pitches, including 6 pitches for tents without sanitary facilities, 20 chalets and 10 tiny houses. Large pitches, either shady or sunny, open for optimal satellite access or, on the contrary, sheltered by trees to make the most of the site's tranquillity. A completely flat campsite that allows us to welcome you regardless of the type of vehicle you are travelling in. Electricity is available in most locations. Ideally located just 3 km from the Loire à Vélo route, the Tours Val de Loire campsite is an ideal stopover for cycle tourists: bicycle storage, a kitchen available, suitable accommodation... Everything is planned for you so that your overnight stay or multi-day stay is made easier! The toilets are accessible 24 hours a day. Hot showers, heated sanitary facilities in winter, toilets, washbasins, dishwashing area... One area is reserved for people with reduced mobility. Everything is at your disposal whenever you want it. From April to October, you can order fresh bread and croissants every morning. Ice cream, cold drinks, hot drinks and local products are on sale all year round. You can buy tickets for the region's castles directly from the campsite reception. You can rent bikes directly from the campsite during the high season. Information is available at reception. The municipal swimming pool of St. Avertin, just a stone's throw from the campsite, welcomes you all year round. It has a large swimming pool, a paddling pool, a sauna and an outdoor area to enjoy the sun in summer.
