"Pure nature - We were disappointed. The only advantage: quiet and lots of nature (trees) on the site. The staff was friendly.

"Disappointed - I'm very disappointed with this campsite, the sanitary facilities are not up to the standards of a 5-star campsite. It's not because we're camping that we have to accept such conditions, even if the campsite is magnificent. The toilets should be renovated, and so should the pool. It's all a bit old-fashioned.

"Special relaxation in a special flair - As soon as you reach Capmingplatz and drive into the courtyard, you have the feeling of arriving in a different time. Everything is quiet, with individual charm and somehow special. In a positive sense, you get the impression that time has stood still. The layout of the campsite is very nice, huge beautiful plots, very green, with a forest on the campsite. There is plenty of space everywhere. It is also exceptionally quiet (at least in the low season). The swimming pool (purely indoor) has its own charm, perhaps it takes some getting used to, but ultimately it is special in its own way. Everything about the place is very individual, with a personal touch. It's also great for dog owners: you can go for a wonderful run in the fields directly from the campsite. There is also a well-stocked store and a wonderful restaurant, which is not only cozy and has a great terrace, but also serves good food. If you're looking for an individual campsite with plenty of space in a peaceful natural setting, this is the place for you!

"Nice and quiet. - Nice and quiet, very secluded. Very nice staff. Nice restaurant with nice terrace. Swimming pool quite small but nice. Changing rooms and showers were not clean, not possible without bathing shoes.

The picturesque site of La Forge de Sainte Marie can be found nestling amongst the world famous champagne vineyards in a quiet corner of France just waiting to be explored. This 18th century forge, on the route between the sandy …beaches of Lac du Der Chantecoq and Château Cirey-sur-Blaise, residence of Voltaire, offers a truly remarkable setting from which to explore this peaceful part of France. A varied choice of accommodation and an excellent entertainment programme make La Forge de Sainte Marie a wonderful destination for a great family holiday. In this wonderfully secret wonderland retreat you will find a full range of on-site facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool and bar/restaurant overlooking our trout-filled fishing lake.
