CP, close to the city.We spent the night here on the highway about 4 km away. The access road through a housing estate is a bit confusing. We received a friendly welcome and the groundsman still had a space for our camper despite full occupancy (Whitsun). He gave us lots of tips for exploring Bamberg. The sanitary facilities were fine. The site is highly recommended for a visit to Bamberg because of its location. The sanitary facilities are as good as new and clean. All in all, recommended for a short or longer stay to visit the uniquely beautiful old town. However, I cannot share the previously described friendliness of the groundsman. The groundsman was very friendly and helpful, the sanitary facilities are modern and clean, and the club restaurant is good value for money. Thanks to the nice weather, the site was in very good condition and we will certainly come back again. Only the number of electricity connections could be higher. The pitches are large enough and the site is very quiet. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean, and there is an Italian restaurant right next to the site. Unfortunately we had continuous rain, so the pitch was very soggy. As the power supply is further apart, 25 m of cable could be too short. Prices, however, very ambitious, for the fact that it is actually just a better parking space. Shared showers are not for everyone, toilets belong to the adjacent restaurant. It is only a few minutes' walk to the former state garden show grounds and around 10 minutes to Bamberg's old town. Ideal for paddlers and cyclists.
