"Chill, relax, eat, sleep, cycle - Fabulous little site. Very friendly and a real little gem. Clean and quiet. The local area is beautiful with loads of markets and fetes and the village is very welcoming. We thoroughly recommend it here and will be back. Possibly our best camping experience ever

Domaine Le Poteau is a small-scale campsite in a remote nature reserve in the Gers department, in the heart of Gascony. Scottish owners Alistair and Fiona have turned their small-scale campsite into a charming holiday destination for those seeking peace …and quiet. The campsite is located just outside the village of Castelnau-d'Auzan. You are camping in a well-kept orchard, far from large cities and tourist attractions. You will find the peace and quiet you are looking for here. This is also due to the small size of the site. Because of the Scottish owners, you will meet many British people here, but French and Dutch people also holiday at Domaine Le Poteau. You can use the modern and well-maintained sanitary facilities. There is a small swimming pool a little way from the pitches. It is too small to swim laps. Those who want to swim more extensively can do so in the outdoor pool in the village. Alistair is a former head chef and enjoys cooking for his camping guests. If there is sufficient interest, a weekly dinner is organised in the orchard. Some of the most beautiful French villages are in the immediate vicinity of Domaine Le Poteau. For example, Fourcès is 17 km away. In this fortified town, the houses were built in a circle within the city walls. Montréal-du-Gers (12 km away) and Larressingle (23 km away) are also worth visiting.
