- Robert M.August 2023PozitivnoThe peace and quiet and the opportunity to go hiking in nature are truly gifts for the soul.NegativnoUnfortunately there is no restaurant directly on site, but there is a tasty snack bar and restaurants nearby.beautiful campsiteThere were two of us at Campingpark Eifel. Right from the start we were greeted in a friendly manner and they were ready to answer all our questions and were able to help us as "new campers". We will be back!Automatski prevedeno.
- Edgar H.August 2022PozitivnoQuiet location and nice public swimming pool. Easy to reach. Family friendlyNegativnoBasically, I expect a campsite of this category to have a pitch infrastructure for fresh water and waste water. Should I pay dog fees, a minimum of dog waste bags + disposal facilities. What else am I paying for. Both not available means minus 1 star for me.Ideal for shortTRIPPThese were very pleasant days for a short trip. Ideal campsite for families. Playground and swimming pool. Freedom of movement for the children.
Unfortunately no water disposal on site, nor dog infrastructure.
Well signposted hiking trails. Waxweiler immediately accessible, but no shopping facilities. We stopped on the way there.
Good access routes to the site. Idem for turning possibilities.
Small snack bar on the square.Automatski prevedeno. - Sandra H.April 2022PozitivnoThe friendliness, just the right size, the cleanliness, WLAN, the leisure facilitiesNegativnoNoneVery nice placeOn arrival, my children first tested the most important things: WiFi was sufficient for Netflix 😂. I inspected the sanitary facilities and was very pleasantly surprised. Very spacious and clean. The site staff were very friendly and helpful, you were immediately in the vacation mood. Waxweiler offers everything you need and viral variety.Automatski prevedeno.
- Ralf B.June 2020PozitivnoClose to the hiking trails, nice good restaurant at the OlatzNegativnoAll good!Clean campsite on the banks of the PrümWe spent the long Corpus Christi weekend here.
The reception is friendly, the pitches large enough and the sanitary facilities always clean.
The restaurant on site is very good, with a very friendly operator who should be wished all the best in these times.
So please include a visit to the restaurant in your plans so that you don't miss out.Automatski prevedeno. - Mc Q.May 2020PozitivnoDirectly on the Prüm - centrally located - quietNegativnoNo significant disadvantagesSolid campsiteWe stayed at the campsite at the end of May after the restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic were eased. Therefore, we cannot rate the restaurant, for example. We had booked a comfort pitch and therefore cannot rate the other pitches either.
The campsite is located on the edge of the small town... of Waxweiler, which offers restaurants / snack bars as well as a supermarket and a gas station for groceries. The surrounding area offers everything that the Eifel has to offer in terms of leisure activities. The site was clean and - despite Whitsun - not overcrowded. Overall, the campsite is in a quiet location, even the noise of motorcyclists, which is common in the Eifel, can only be heard in the distance when someone is revving up. The Waxweiler outdoor pool is right next to the campsite, but it was still closed due to Corona. However, the Prüm provided cooling, atmosphere and fun for the children.
The sanitary facilities were average (at least the outhouse at the comfort pitches) and possibly too few when fully occupied. Unfortunately, I didn't find a disposal station for gray water - but I didn't ask.
The only difference between "normal" pitches and comfort pitches seems to be the size. Electricity is available on the pitch, but water has to be fetched from central taps. Therefore, the extra charge for a comfort pitch doesn't really seem justified to me, but I would book it again if we were to stay there again, as the normal pitches looked very cramped.
All in all, a relaxing, quiet place for a few nights.Automatski prevedeno. - Stefan E.August 2014For a short trip ok.... doesn't need to be moreWe were there for a short trip of 4 days and are still looking for the alleged 5 stars.... The sanitary facilities are just standard and not very plentiful. But the main problem is the pitches. There are no gravel pitches but you stand on the natural ground. The slightest rain shower turns everything... into a muddy field... This dirt is dragged everywhere. Immediately after cleaning, the toilets/showers look as if someone has dumped buckets of mud in there. There is a lack of absolute basics, e.g. there are no garbage cans or ashtrays anywhere in the central area around the playground/reception. And that could be fixed so quickly. Otherwise everything was okay; nothing special but nothing particularly off-putting either.Automatski prevedeno.
- Erik J.September 2010Beautifully situated right by the river, it can be a bit damp in the fall, but otherwise a lovely site Note You can only receive TV with satellite dish and the area is almost radio dead!Automatski prevedeno.
