Good starting point for excursions to Stockholm
The good location of the campsite is not professionally utilized by the operator. The place is characterized by unkindness. We did not receive particularly good advice at reception. (Excursion possibilities, boat rental...). One toilet area was basically clean, but all in all better plumsklon level.... The newer wing is rather loveless. Washing costs €7.50 per machine. You have to walk a long way for fresh water. Washing up facilities are OK. The location is very good. Water all around with adjacent footpaths. The bathing area is used as an excursion destination for Stockholmers. (But it is quite nice) The place is mainly used by permanent campers, some of whom also pay attention to their order. But they are sometimes a better source of information than the reception! We explored Stockholm from here. Tip: Take the tunnel train from Södertelje. The village of Trosa is also worth a visit.

Large campsite in a beautiful location
The campsite is beautifully situated on the lake and the surrounding area is lovely. However, the site itself is very large, noisy and the sanitary facilities are unclean. The staff is rather unfriendly, one wash costs 7 Eur, the pitches are rather small.

Reception is unfriendly. Many permanent campers. Location of the site on the lake is very nice. The sanitary building is in a very deplorable condition on the outside, but modernized on the inside. In the low season the sanitary facilities are adequate, in the high season the building can never function... properly. It was always clean during our stay. Showers cost extra (coins 5 crowns for 3 minutes). Good place to visit Stockholm. Train from Järna or Södertälje. If you choose this place to visit Stockholm it is ok, otherwise I do not recommend it. Although we have a caravan, we noticed from other tourists that the rented vacation cottages (Stuga) are in a poor state, i.e. many things are broken and dirty.
