"Beautiful place - Nice well run campsite. Sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day. Beautiful gravelled Womo pitches with table. Outdated electricity connections. Beautiful beach! Good walking paths for dogs.

"Beautiful place with small weaknesses - The site is secluded on the lake. The beach is also accessible to non-campers and is therefore very busy at weekends in the warm season. But if you walk a few steps, you can escape the hustle and bustle. The site is very well structured and the pitches are spacious. It's practically in a "large clearing" in the forest and some large, old trees provide shade for those who want it. But there are also sunny spots. Due to the many surrounding trees, satellite reception is problematic. However, the operators know their site and can tell you where you might be lucky. It worked for me, but my neighbor already had no reception. The sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, hot water costs extra, so one point is deducted from the rating of the sanitary facilities. It is also very nice for dog owners, as there are some paths through the forest outside the campsite for walking your dog. There are also access points to the lake, which are secluded and where the pelt-noses can get into the water. This was my 2nd time here (by chance). The last time was 6 years ago. But you couldn't see the years on the site. Still very well maintained and clean. Can be recommended.

"Simply fantastic - We were there for a week and would have liked to stay much longer. The site is very well laid out, with lots of tree islands around the pitches. The operators are incredibly friendly, you can go canoeing, hiking and do other things outside. Within 20 minutes you are in Gävle where you can find everything you need.

"Beautiful campsite - Nice German-speaking reception, very helpful. Large, level pitches. Clean sanitary facilities. Fast WiFi and electricity included. Great location by the lake (it's not actually a lake but a river, but it looks like one), very quiet. Shopping facilities in Hedesunda about 5 kilometers away. Highly recommended

"Extremely friendly and helpful operators - The pitches are very nice, spacious and loosely laid out around groups of trees, large stones or on the meadow. It doesn't feel as sterile or parking lot-like as we have experienced on other sites. At first glance, the sanitary facilities may appear to be a little too small, but we never experienced a bottleneck. Everything is spotlessly clean at all times - toilets, showers, kitchen, washing up. Absolutely top. The host family is absolutely friendly and helpful. After originally planning 2 nights, we stayed 5 nights. Bread roll service and a fine restaurant with a great view of the lake are also worth mentioning.

Profil

Hedesunda Camping, close to Hedesunda village, creates an atmosphere of a wonderfully landscaped park. It is a quiet camping ground, located remarkably beautiful on a lakeside, with its own jetties and sandy beach, known as 'Sandnäsbadet', an ideal destination, to …go swimming, fishing, canoeing, or just to relax in. With more then five hectares of grassland and forest, it offers some 150 spacious sites for tents and caravans. Even with all facilities readily available you still have a feeling of being 'out in the wild', making a stay on our Campsite an unforgettable experience. The showers and toilets (also for the disabled) are centrally located near the reception office. Good cooking facilities are available, including electric and microwave ovens, hot water dish washing and all modern laundry facilities. There are 50 camping spots available with electricity.

Upute

Car: If you like to drive to Sweden there are a few options. You can take the ferry from Kiel in the north of Germany, to Göteborg. It departs Kiel every day at 7.30 pm, you spend the night in …your cabin on the ferry and it will arrive the next day at 9.00 am in Göteborg. For information and bookings look at: www.stenaline.com From Göteborg you follow the signs to Karlstad. It is the road along the shores of lake Vänern. From Karlstad you take the road to Örebro and Västerås. Take the main road 67 Sala to Gävle, in the direction of Hedesunda. Then you follow the signs Camping and 'Sandnäsbadet'. Another option is, to board the ferry from Puttgarden (northern Germany), to Rödby (Denmark), this is a 45 minutes boat trip. You follow the road to Copenhagen where you can choose between the Öresundbridge to Malmö in Sweden or to drive to Helsingör and take the ferry across to Helsinborg in Sweden (about 30 minutes). From Helsingborg you take highway E4 to Stockholm. After you have reached Nörrköping follow road 56 to Köping and Västerås, a beautiful route. Take main road 67 from Sala to Gävle, and then turn off to Ön, in the direction of Hedesunda. Then you follow the signs Camping and 'Sandnäsbadet'.
