"Short visit to Walkenried - We spent a lovely weekend at the invitation of our camper friends. We got to know the campsite and the town of Walkenried. We are not campers, but there will certainly be a repeat visit.

"Our favorite camping site in the Harz Mountains! - It is our favorite campsite in the Harz! it is ideally located as a starting point for hikes in the local area such as the World Heritage Site Walkenried Monastery and the nearby forests. other destinations such as the Broken or the OstalgieMuseum in Benneckenstein, etc are very easy to reach from this place! We would love to come back!

"Quiet place with good infrastructure - I really enjoyed the peace and quiet on the pitch at the fishing pond and would like to praise the friendly staff. The place is a little insider tip!

Profil

The countryside is full of mixed woodland, extensive ponds and karst geology which is unique in Europe. Fascinating natural experiences can be had in the Harz national park, in the limestone caves, on the reservoirs, on hiking routes or when …climbing the Brocken, the highest mountain in northern Germany. Long-distance walking paths pass through Walkenried or start here, such as the Harzer Baudenstieg, Kaiserweg and Karst hiking paths as well as the Harzer Grenzweg path with its rare fauna and flora.This campsite is ideal for families. Two playgrounds, a sports ground, mini-golf, beach volleyball and table tennis provide entertainment alongside the holiday program "Hits for Kids" and after the "swimming fun" in the indoor pool keep the little ones happy with the bathing island, floating tyres and boats. The indoor swimming pool is a particular highlight of the campsite. On cold winter, or even summer, days you can do something for your health. Water aerobics, a massage or a visit to the sauna round off the spa offer.
