"Great place for families with children - Stay with motorhome, pitch 204, 2 adults, no children. We chose this well-rated campsite to explore the surroundings of Spital/Döbriach (no beach vacation). We wanted to explore the special features/attractions of the area on the internet. That shouldn't be a problem, as the campsite advertises a fast fiber optic network and extremely fast WiFi. Our conclusion: An ideal campsite for vacations with children. Lots of play facilities and an entertainment program for children. Well-equipped sanitary facilities with separate youth areas (6 - 14 years). Major drawback: WLAN worked completely inadequately for 3 days: it took several attempts to connect to the internet and when this was finally achieved, the connection was catastrophically poor: on the 1st day download/upload speed: 1.4/0.2 Mbps. Speeds were faster in the last millennium. I reported the problem to reception and was promised that a technician would take care of it. Unfortunately, nothing got better. 2nd day: Down/Up: 1.51/0.26 Mbps and 3rd day: 0.82/0.28 Mbps. In the end, we had to surf via the hotspots on our cell phones on three days!

"Mr - We will come back, we really enjoyed our visit. Dogs could be walked in the outside park and area. Quite strict rules on dogs inside the campground.

"A paradise for families - Now that our vacation is almost over, I would like to give you some impressions that might be interesting, as we are vacationing under different conditions than most other campers. When we decided to travel to Camping Burgstaller, I of course read the reviews in advance and in addition to the mostly great reviews, I also read the bad ones. The sanitary facilities are a real highlight and the cleanliness is impeccable, and the cleaning staff deserve a lot of praise. You can really see at first glance how much passion and dedication there is behind this place and how hard the family who run it and the employees work here. As mentioned at the beginning, things are different for us as we have two disabled children and things like tolerance and understanding are not a matter of course for us. We have nothing but positive things to say about Camping Burgstaller and everyone from reception to the manager is super friendly and helpful. We have rarely seen our children as happy as at Camping Burgstaller, whether in the Burgstaller Express with the boss, in the lido or in the entertainment program of Fabienne and her great team.

"Still a great campsite - This was our 2nd time at Burgstaller. It is still one of the best places we have ever visited. Probably even the best in terms of sanitary facilities. Plus the very, very good leisure program and leisure activities for children. But not only for the children, the adults are also catered for. There's no need to write anything about the great location on Lake Millstatt, it's fantastic. But here's what we noticed this year, in contrast to last year. First of all, we are dog owners and were there for the 2nd time with our dog. The site is littered with signs prohibiting dogs. They're not allowed to go here, they're not allowed to go there, they're not allowed to pee there, they're not allowed to pick up their droppings, etc. Everything is correct, and for us as dog owners it goes without saying. But as a dog owner, you don't really feel welcome. In addition, during our stay, the boss posted 2 times on the campsite's social media about no longer accepting dogs from next season. We would find it a shame and would unfortunately no longer travel to Burgstaller. But apart from that, it's a great campsite. Keep up the good work.

Profil

Nestled in a magnificent high mountain landscape in Carinthia's southern climate lies the second largest body of water in the country. Lake Millstätter See with its shallow beach (Carinthia's most beautiful natural bathing beaches are located here) and water temperatures …of up to 27 degrees in midsummer is rightly referred to as the ‘Carinthian Adriatic’. Thanks to its central location, there are countless opportunities for day trips and hikes in the surrounding Nockberge mountains with their mountain roads, cable cars and chairlifts. The fact that Carinthia lies south of the main Alpine ridge and is only separated from the Mediterranean region by the Carnic Pre-Alps and Karawanken mountains is reflected in the climate, which is already described as Mediterranean and ensures wonderfully warm summers. Here we have built our camping park on 8 hectares of meadows, surrounded by shrubs and trees, away from the noise of traffic and yet only 100 metres from the shores of Lake Millstatt. The camping pitches are equipped with TV connection, WLAN, drinking water and electricity. There is a large playground by the lake with a water slide, trampoline and sand playground. The campsite has its own lido, two restaurants and a shop. You can take part in numerous activities at the campsite, which has a football pitch, a beach volleyball court, a bowling alley, a basketball court, an indoor playground (over two floors), an event arena with a show stage for entertainment programmes and a cinema. A top entertainment programme for children and adults ensures lots of fun! Our ponies and a riding centre await our younger guests. We look forward to your visit!
