"Good place - We stayed at the campsite for 6 days. After a few weeks of loneliness in the north of Norway and Finland, this place felt really good. Everyone can choose their own pitch, water is right on the pitch. There are 2 regular bus lines to the nice town. There are plenty of shops nearby. There is a road near the campsite, but it is quiet at night. The kitchen is really good and cozy. There are lots of leisure activities around the site. The sanitary facilities are a bit old, but were clean. I wouldn't give the site 5 stars, but we felt comfortable during our stay.

"Never visit this place - We visited this camping from Dec, 25btill Dec, 27 and were not provided with the services that we paid for. In the campsite there was no water, the nearest WC is 3km away. No way to drain the waste. Although the cost of this service was fully paid for, the service was not rented. We do not recommend to anybody this camping. Service is very poor. Personnel is rough in communication and refused to settle our problems. They told us that "we are not americans" and they don't want to hurry to solve our problems

"Overrated place - The campsite advertises with 5 stars, whoever awarded them. The site is large and the pitches have plenty of space. There is actually everything you could wish for. BUT, it's July and the site is pretty full. 2 sanitary buildings do not seem sufficient, as for example in one of the two out of 5 toilets in the men's area 2 are out of order and one is blocked. In addition, the toilets are only cleaned once in the morning, so it looks the same in the evening. The hand dryer doesn't work either. Definitely too few sanitary facilities for so many people. The restaurant closes at 8 am on Sundays! On weekdays, however, it is open until 11pm. The waitress in the restaurant was extremely cheeky when I asked for a drink shortly after closing time. They told me that tomorrow was another day and left me standing there. The opening times were cleverly written behind an open door so that you couldn't read them. The staff at reception are friendly. The price for one night with discount of 33 € is too high for the offer and the condition.

"Campsite and leisure facility by the lake - Rauhalahti is a large vacation center with a campsite, campground and bungalows on a lake. We chose the site on our trip north for 1 night only. The site is well maintained both inside and out. The pitches are large enough, partly parceled out, free choice of pitch. The sanit. Facilities nice, in good condition and clean, there is a laundry room with washing machine and dryer (for a fee) with clothesline outside, kitchen and washing up also clean; sauna available. There is also a restaurant, snack bar etc., said to be good, we didn't eat there ourselves. The staff at reception and on the campsite are friendly and helpful. Lots of leisure activities for young and old, so more of a vacation spot.

Road instructions 1. On highway no 5, approx. 6 kms before the centre of of Kuopio, sign: "Rauhalahti" 2. Drive to the right from the highway, at first approx. 200 m "Rauhalahdentie" road 3. Turn to the left, to "Kartanonkatu" …street (there is allso sign " Rauhalahti"), approx 500 m this Kartanonkatu street 4. Turn to the right: Rauhalahti Holiday Centre, there is also a sign of a caravan by entrance. 5. Drive straight on approx. 150 m, to the brown building with a sign "reception". (On the winter keep on driving 200 meters untill on the right side of the street blue/grey building and sign "reception.) WELCOME!!!
