The place is nice, the campground not so much
great place, but the campground itself leaves a lot to be desired..... There are only 2 bathrooms for the whole camping site and there are always queues. At check-in there may be misunderstandings with payment and it's hard to get your money back as the staff doesn't care about you.

A place to stay longer
As we were here in the low season, we can only report on this stay. Reception is staffed for one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon. If you arrive outside of these hours, simply find your own place. When you check in, the reception is very warm and friendly. There is even a 10% discount... for stays of 3 nights or more. If you have any problems, you will be helped immediately. The pitches are large enough and even tourists can get a pitch right by the lake without any problems. The natural surroundings are simply stunning. The sanitary facilities are very clean, but you should hurry when showering as, if there aren't many guests, the hot water takes a while to arrive and the 4 minutes at 10 crowns is a bit short. There is a store on site with a few small items. If this is not enough, you can walk to Tinn Austbygd in 10 minutes where there is a supermarket. The permanent campers are also very friendly, which is not the case everywhere. All in all, this was not the last time we stayed here.

Peace and nature
We spent a week here and really enjoyed the peace and quiet and the surrounding nature. Very friendly, helpful staff, you choose your own pitch. Excursions to Rjukan and hiking opportunities nearby. The sanitary facilities are ok and well maintained.
