- Andreas B.July 2023PozitivnoVery nice operators and staff. Beautiful location on the lake. Service is absolutely great.NegativnoIn heavy rain, the course is sometimes difficult to drive on.Simply beautiful despite the rain! The welcome alone shows how nice they are here! The homemade bread rolls, the smoked fish, the pizza, simply delicious. The pitches are nice and big enough. The sanitary facilities are functional and clean. There is nothing to complain about. The music for the children and adults every evening is fantastic. You just have to join in. Bring your instruments! Here you feel familiar and safe!Automatski prevedeno.
- Christa und Friedrich W.July 2020PozitivnoEvening music by the fireNegativno./.More than just a "campsite"If you expect a "Ballermann" atmosphere, you should avoid this place under all circumstances!
The pitches are large enough - due to the hedges and terraces, you don't have to "hang on each other".
Nevertheless, if you like, you can quickly form a community, e.g. through the campfire every evening in... the cozy common room.
If you have a musical instrument and/or a love of singing in your luggage, you will quickly find the opportunity to activate them to the delight of the other guests;-)
We weren't disturbed by anything during the night - but in the morning .... ;-) From 8.30 a.m., a hunting horn signaled that the bread rolls, which were ready for collection by midnight the previous day using a QR code (there were also other options) - (crispy, tasty and still warm).
It wasn't just the bread rolls that were warm - so were the trout, which were smoked once a week in the common room and could also be eaten there.
We didn't hear any radio or "canned" music on the site, but various instruments could often be heard somewhere.
According to our observations, all age groups from >0 to >80 years felt comfortable.
All in all - we will be back next year (if the sky hasn't fallen on our heads by then ;-)Automatski prevedeno. - C. M.June 2020PozitivnoTerraced, level pitches, all with grass, some with trees; lots of nature, friendly operatorsNegativnoThe only disadvantage: you have to walk quite far to the next bus stop (public transport) (approx. 1.5 km)Here you will find peace and serenityA wonderful campsite that is run with a lot of love. The "Feuerstube" is particularly nice, where you can meet up in the evenings to chat, play games and make music.
Also suitable for motorhomes up to 3.5 tons.
There are many excursion destinations all around, which can also be reached by bike.Automatski prevedeno. - Jörn S.August 2018PozitivnoLocation, atmosphere, cozinessNegativnoNot barrier-free, few shopping facilities nearbyExciting placeThis great site is located directly on Langsø. In the old barn there is live music every evening from the campers around the open fire. In addition, the operators come up with a different activity every day, so sometimes you can make your own pizza, sometimes smoked fish or bread on a stick, etc. You can order bread rolls, the operators prepare the dough themselves and when the rolls are baked, there is a signal with the hunting horn.Automatski prevedeno.
- Dieter T.July 2015PozitivnoSelf-organizing people who organize activities for everyone - e.g. dance classes, drumming classes, Tai Chi, etc. depending on who is there.Great place with great peopleYou can hear music as soon as you enter the square. Not from loudspeakers, but from the various terraces where rehearsals are taking place for the evening.Automatski prevedeno.

- Patrick W.August 2013A top-class place - you can't rate it with stars. The Feuerstube with live music by the open fire - where else can you find that? You MUST have been there. But be careful: this place has addictive potential :-)Automatski prevedeno.
- Peter H.July 2012Vammen-Camping is different! Vammen-Camping means peace and security, relaxing, unwinding, but also being creative, laughing, singing and making music together, being happy and having fun. All this without an amusement park next door, television and disco. In addition, the site is manageable with around... 100 pitches; there are no pitches or permanent campers with hunter's fences. The site is located away from the hustle and bustle, approx. 15 km north-east of the town of Viborg in Jutland near the village of Vammen. A 1 km long country lane leads from the village to the extremely idyllic site, right next to the 9 km long lake Tjele Langsø. Vammen Camping is now in its 35th year and is protected in the nature conservation area. Another campsite on the lake had to close a few years ago. Vammen Camping is laid out in terraces. There is a place for everyone on three terraces and a meadow right by the water. Restriction: The pitches at the bottom by the water are only suitable for people with a tent or folding caravan. With a caravan, a four-wheel drive towing vehicle is required. There is an approx. 100 m long slope to overcome on arrival and an incline on departure. And this can sometimes cause problems. The site is a natural site, i.e. there are no plots separated by fences or hedges. A few years ago, the site was given "house numbers" to provide a better overview and to enable guests to reserve their "preferred pitch". This "somewhat different" campsite is popular with amateur musicians and their families, who enjoy making music together with like-minded people. So it's not surprising to hear the sound of guitars and flutes or even singing here and there on the site during the day. And every evening, people meet up (if they want to) in the large, rustic "Feuerstube" (non-smoking area!), where they play, sing and make music. An open fire creates a stylish atmosphere. It's amazing how many musical instruments and great voices come together here every year and provide great entertainment. From Irish folk, shanties and country music to folk songs and hits from the 60s, everything is represented. And when "Joan Baez" sits down at the microphone with her guitar, it gets quiet as a mouse in the Feuerstube. The most amazing musical instruments come together. In addition to the large instruments provided "on site" such as the piano and double bass, instruments such as the bagpipes, didgeridoo, hurdy-gurdy and other musical curiosities can be admired and of course heard here every year. On Saturday evenings, the children can show what they can do and step in front of the microphone. Whether it's a big voice, a flute, a piano piece, singing or a poem - there's always applause! And not only that! Harm-Wulf gives a drinks voucher for every contribution from the "little ones". Thanks at this point to the young (or young-at-heart) guests who have so much fun inspiring children and adults alike that young and old sing along to "Hab 'ne Tante in Marokko...". In this context, it should be noted that the musical performances in the Feuerstube are completely unmoderated. If someone feels like performing something, he/she or a group sits down in front of the microphone and starts singing. It's all completely informal. It's not unusual for campers to spontaneously get together, rehearse something during the day and then perform it to the other guests in the evening. Where else can you find something like this? The Feuerstube is a large rustic common room without catering. It is available to guests all day long. In bad weather, families or children can sit here together and read, play board games or chat. Campers with tents particularly appreciate the Feuerstube. In cool weather, a fire is lit on the open hearth during the day. This is obligatory in the evening. Drinks are also available to buy. However, you help yourself. There is also wine (red and white) and homemade apple juice (all from three taps in the wall). Don't "forget" to pay! We have also thought of the young people who want to be among themselves. There is a youth hut where the "young people" can be among themselves. Here the young people sit in a circle around an open fireplace and do things that we "old people" don't understand. In general, the German-Danish site management (a family business) goes out of its way to look after its guests. Raft trips (not only for children), night hikes, trout smoking, pizza baking, boller soup, baking bread on a stick, beach concert...; these are just some of the highlights at Vammen Camping. Take pizza baking, for example: once a week this shared experience is on the agenda. Everyone who wants to take part is given a lump of dough and an aluminum tray for a small fee. Then everyone sits together in the fire pit or, in good weather, outside at tables and shapes and tops their pizza as they see fit. It's funny to hear the dialog across the tables: "Do you have any onions, tomatoes or xxx for us? We'll also give you a few slices of salami." The topped pizzas are then given a number and off they go into the large oven. Yes, and when are they ready? Clearly, when Harmwulf sounds his hunting horn. And don't forget the very clean bathing lake with a sandy beach right next to the campsite. There is also a sauna by the lake. Oh yes, I can think of something else: Harm-Wulf's home-baked bread rolls every morning are amazing! When the hunting horn sounds again at 8.30 a.m. sharp, everyone knows that the rolls they ordered the night before are ready. By the way, the campsite even has a WLAN network that can be used free of charge. However, this is the only modern concession of the otherwise rather basic campsite. However, the Wi-Fi doesn't work in every last corner of the campsite. We'll be back again this summer. Maybe we'll see you there! Oh yes, don't forget: Remember your guitars, flutes, clarinets and anything else that sounds nice. To give you an idea, here are a few recordings from the 2009 beach concert at Vammen-Camping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeTRSqIQMGMAutomatski prevedeno.
