The campsite scores with its beautiful location. It is located directly on the Savinja. We were able to go on wonderful bike trips from there.
The pitches are large, both sunny and shady and you can choose your own.
The campsite is very suitable for... senior citizens and families with children as well as for young people, with a swimming lake and climbing garden for adventure.
We were pleasantly struck by the very friendly manager, who always has the well-being of his guests at heart.

He gave us great tips about the region, brought local schnapps to the other end of the campsite in the evening... in the pouring rain to motivate us to keep going, helped us fill up muddy spots in the camp after the constant rain and even organized a car repair shop for us on a Saturday to fix our VW bus that had broken down the night before!
The campsite is beautifully laid out and there's lots to do and discover for children and adults alike - on our own climbing course, driving a Kettcar on the fantastic playground, at the lake and by the river. We used the campsite's wooden house with jacuzzi. Despite the bad weather, a pleasant and active weekend break. The Jacuzzi was perfect for such weather. The house has electric radiators and air conditioning, which we used for heating in the evenings. Huge covered... outdoor terrace with table, chairs and sofa which we didn't use this time. Possibility to cook inside or outside, as the house has an outdoor gas cooker and an indoor electric cooker. All the equipment in the house is on their website.
There is a restaurant in the campsite with very tasty food. We have always been satisfied with the accommodation as well as the hospitality. As for the campsite in winter, there are heated toilets and hot... water, which has never run out.
This year we decided to try out the house with a jacuzzi, which is a real balm for the body and soul after a day of skiing at Golte... worth a try:). The kids were particularly enthusiastic about it.
This year we will be back again for the 1-May holidays, where we will take advantage of the beautiful nature to go cycling.

It's almost on the way home and we've always spent a few days there after our beach vacation. We have two children (10 and 12) and were there with our caravan. You can choose your own pitch and almost all of them are... by a stream, river or lake. So it's very idyllic and close to nature. We did a lot of things. We went kayaking, did the high ropes course, went hiking, swimming and sightseeing. We also wanted to go rafting, but unfortunately it wasn't possible due to the low water level. We will do it next year. This time we also used the spa facilities and had a massage and pedicure. Very good and very reasonably priced. The food in the restaurant is good and also recommended. Everyone is very nice and the campsite owner Jure is a very pleasant guy. Always pops in to see if everything is OK. He offers wine tastings or simply puts a glass of wine at the table for us to try. Today he took our boys to "axe throwing". They really enjoyed it, of course. Otherwise, our boys loved driving around the lake on their SUB or being dropped into the lake on the zipline. Or catching fish and frogs in the stream or lying in the shallow stream. All in all, highly recommended for a relaxed, natural but also adventurous and adrenaline-filled vacation. The last time was in 2005 and so much has happened since then! We had a pitch right next to the playground, which was ideal for us - with 2 small children. There were various wooden houses around the playground that offered pancakes, ice cream, drinks,... Kettcar rental, etc. There is a restaurant with a bar on the site where you can eat really well. We paid an average of €55 there for 5 people. The following is offered on the campsite: climbing forest, guided hikes, bike tours, bike and kettcar rental, children's entertainment (different age groups), wine/beer tasting while the children are being looked after... plus various evening events. A store with souvenirs and a stand where you can buy
and a stall where you can buy very good fruit and vegetables is located near the reception. The playground is in very good condition. The whole site is in a neat and tidy condition. There are several wash houses spread throughout the campsite. The cleaning staff are on duty from 7:00-24:00. You can swim in the small lake, which was created with great attention to detail. You can also hire a SUP there. There is a baby pool by the lake, a sand play area (both in the shade), a cable car across the water, various depths in the lake (with the option of jumping), a bar and seating. From there, but also from other directions, you can reach the river. The water is crystal clear. The water is not deep enough for swimming, but it is ideal for children. Dogs must be kept on a lead, but are allowed in the lake and river. It is also possible to rent a wooden house on the site. Bread and rolls are available 4 minutes' walk from the campsite. The nearest supermarket is 4 km away. The campsite is very natural. Trees everywhere, lots of shade, a great atmosphere. We loved the cool lake with the tarzan swings, the catapult cushion, the little island with grass to sit on and read a book. At Camping Menina there is something for everyone. Cottages or camping spots, physical challenge (oa rafting, climbing park throughout the campsite, lake with natural water), nice terrace with good food (tip! Try the t-bone steak or 1 of the delicious pizzas), pets welcome. The staff are all equally friendly and helpful. Nearby is the last Alp, the Golte. Tough challenge, but doable with an e-bike (rentable through the campground from White Rabbit).NegativaYou also have to go home again sometime....Feels like coming homeMenina has been working hard on the electricity and infrastructure for the last year, and it shows. The electricity used to fail sometimes, but that is in the past. Nearby is the bakery, on site a small store and a stall with vegetables/fruit. Unfortunately, it is not recommended for nature lovers looking for peace and quiet, who don't... need any frills and want to take it easy. Unfortunately, I didn't get the real camping feeling. If you want to go to the sanitary building, you first have to go through the hustle and bustle of the reception area, where all the offers and leisure activities take place (everything costs extra) - there's not much privacy left. A climbing park hovers above you. You have to like it. We didn't like it. Hence 3 stars ;-) We left the site after just one night, even though we originally wanted to stay longer (we hadn't been properly informed about the site beforehand that it advertises itself as a sports park). Beautiful pitches, with plenty of shade, in a wooded area. The staff are friendly and you can get information about hiking trails, via ferratas and sights at reception - that's great! - Heiner Z.July 2019PozitivaEmbedded in a dreamlike landscape.NegativaNot clean, overcrowded, narrow (challenge for large WW), every little activity against payment, pitches absolutely chaotic...crowded, loud, expensive, expensive - actually not even for one night.We got to know the manager of the campsite - we had a little mishap when choosing the access road. He was super nice and organized a pitch for us to spend the night. Unfortunately, the site was already more than overcrowded when we arrived - caravans and tents were crowded together everywhere on the... site with no apparent order. We were given a "pitch" for the night on the footpath to the "river". The water was virtually non-existent - a rivulet in which dozens of people were wallowing. The bathing pond, which was also there, consisted almost entirely of heads. The advertised leisure activities are varied, but all of them are only available for a fee. And that's quite something. The campsite seems to be highly advertised in the Netherlands and Slovenia. The sanitary facilities seem to come from a vacation camp...the low position of the washbasins is somewhat irritating. The cleanliness left something to be desired, but this could have been due to the total overcrowding. The restaurant could not be used without pre-ordering. It was possible to take food away, but the cuisine wasn't exactly amazing. Conclusion: One night, electricity forwarded via two friendly Dutch families (with regularly switching off fuses), pitch at the main access to the river and lots of narrow driveways - a good €40 for 3 people and a dog.Automaticky přeloženo.

You should be allowed to tick all activities!Camp Menina is the epitome of the perfect camping vacation! There is hardly an activity that is not possible here or in the immediate vicinity! The site is very natural with beautiful old trees. Lovingly landscaped greenery around the mobile homes and other rental properties. The heart and soul of the... site is the owner Jure and his partner Katja. They know how to make every guest feel like they are on vacation with friends. The sanitary facilities are a bit outdated, but are constantly being renovated and are clean. However, they are very open, which is not a problem in the warm weather. The water is always nice and hot! Swimming in the river and in the site's own lake (very refreshing 😘) Climbing forest for children and one for older children and adults, with flying FOX across the lake. We did a kayak tour with one of the guides. It was great!!! Conclusion we will definitely be back!!!Automaticky přeloženo.
