HERE YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE. Long sandy beach, the dogs can get out of the way or romp around together, there is so much space that nobody has to be disturbed. I found the W lan quite OK, just near the reception. Everything else has already been written. The site is a long tube with right and left hand pitches, some of the pitches are gravel, the others are grass and earth. The staff are super friendly and helpful. For example, our gas bottle was empty and the man at reception took it to the... site to exchange it. The campsite has a beautiful flat and wide sandy beach. The sanitary facilities are simple but clean. The ristorante on site is very good, there is excellent fresh fish and the pizza is also wonderful. Special requests from guests are catered for and fulfilled where possible, e.g. 2 half pizzas etc. What I would like to see: The place itself a little tidier, the gravel raked, dead leaves etc. removed, a little nicer planting. The access proved to be difficult, as the navigation system had contradictory information and led us into the village. Take the exit from the SS 89 and continue in the direction of Zapponeta on the actual SP 141, which takes you directly past the site. The navigation system indicates this short stretch as SS 159. However, the Wi-Fi at the campsite is not usable and the connection is constantly interrupted.Automaticky přeloženo.

It's like coming home. As the site has now established itself as a stopover for winter campers, there is also a bit more going on during the quiet season. Matteo opens the restaurant regularly. The sanitary facilities are super clean as always (thanks Gennaro!).... We are always happy to come back! *Update end* Due to a "mishap", this campsite has become one of my (and my husband's) regular spots. We stayed here twice in 2011, four times in 2012 and twice in 2013. The site consists of a campsite section with 2 very good sanitary buildings (not heated in winter, but the shower water is hot) and a pitch section directly on the beach dunes with a very rustic sanitary building, which is only officially open from the beginning of May. The owners are very welcoming and live on site all year round in a small wooden house. There is a bar and a small store, which is also stocked in summer (higher prices, but very good quality goods). In late fall, winter and spring you can also ask the boss to get something for you. Bread can always be pre-ordered in the evening. You can often eat on site - the chef likes to cook himself in the low season - excellent pizza or a fish menu - just not every day, asking helps. Shopping: 2 km along the main road - Pini cheese dairy (best mozzarella I've had in Italy), in Manfredonia at the entrance road near the Carabinieri up to the MD discount store on the left (everything there is at discount prices and good quality, lots of Austrian goods) - both accessible by bike. Or you can drive in the direction of Gargano and take the exit to Centro Commerciale L'eclerc - a huge shopping center. The sandy beach is always large enough and the part belonging to the campsite is cleaned daily during the season. Only a small part is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers, otherwise you can put your own things everywhere. The pitch part is used as a bathing area in summer, at weekends there is space for 4 cars on each pitch (and that's about 400 cars). Nevertheless, the beach is not too small. In July and August there is Sagra twice a week, a festival with food and dancing late into the night - inexpensive, good, but loud. Otherwise it is always rather quiet - even the entertainment is not intrusive. Unfortunately, there are swarms of mosquitoes all around due to the agriculture. There are days or weeks when hundreds of mosquitoes pounce on you in the evening, then again days and weeks when it's like Jesolo. Mosquito repellent is recommended. Or take precautions and take a pavilion with meche walls with you, or build a kind of safari room out of meche for the awning... For us, the Lido Salpi campsite has become a permanent stopover in Italy - but you shouldn't expect the luxury of a campsite in northern Italy.Automaticky přeloženo.

The campsite and beach were regularly kept clean, but garbage was stored at the edge of the campsite and behind a dune on the beach for long periods of time. The front part of the campsite (right by the sea) was used as... a parking lot for beachgoers, who made up the majority of the guests. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day and were therefore OK. The animation was tolerable, even into the night. The mosquitoes were sprayed regularly with advance notice. No escape despite mosquito repellent! The plague of houseflies and mosquitoes radically reduces the possibility of relaxing. Only traffic to and from the campsite... during the day, quiet at night (traffic on the main road is audible in westerly winds). The campsite consists of two parts. One part near the beach (grass/sand) with an older sanitary building. The other part on the access road (gravel surface), which we used, has a new sanitary building. There is only one sitting toilet (for the disabled), otherwise standing toilets. The cleanliness is average. Hot water (including showers at no extra charge) in the washrooms and dishwashing sinks. There is another somewhat older sanitary building at the back of the site. The cleanliness is up to standard. The pitches are separated by large eucalyptus trees. The small market and the restaurant (from 19:00) are still open at the campsite during this time. Only pizza (€ 5.00 - € 9.00) is on offer. Some of the power points are very far away. Sanitary facilities near the reception are new and very clean. The toilets near the beach are very old, but clean. The operators are extremely friendly and helpful. Free Wi-Fi... near the reception. For 12.00 euros (Acsi) a very reasonably priced pitch. To Manfredonia approx. 7 km. The biggest disadvantage and therefore we will unfortunately not visit this beautiful place again, is the large mosquito plague. If the wind comes from the land (and unfortunately this was the case with us), you are surrounded by hundreds of mosquitoes that really attack you, so no amount of spraying and applying cream helps. Even in the caravan everything was full. I stopped counting when I had 100 bites on my arms and legs. Ulrike G.June 2013The most positive thing was the friendliness and the wifi, which you could use for free. Unfortunately only near the reception building. The place is very natural and you are directly at the sea without a road, which was deserted at our time in June and we could take long walks. One disadvantage was... the many mosquitoes. The whole place was sprayed with pesticides one morning, but you don't feel so comfortable thinking about the effect it has on people. We had our bikes with us and wanted to do some cycling. However, there is only the main road and this is not exactly comfortable to ride due to the speeding cars, although only 50 km are allowed. The food is good but the service in the restaurant is, even if you turn a blind eye, very chaotic and overwhelmed. There is a fish menu, pasta or pizza at the weekend and only pizza during the week. With Acsi you pay 12 euros:-).... The surrounding area (by bike) offers little worth seeing. The sanitary facilities were always clean, but could be too small in high season. In winter you can get the essentials in the mini-market; pastries are... pre-ordered for the next day - the restaurant is not open every day in winter! Also: large area for tent campers; washing machines; children's playground; kilometer-long sandy beach. Very friendly!
