Very friendly staff. The campsite is very small and has clearly structured pitches for motorhomes and WW. The sandy beach is within easy walking distance. Approx. 100 meters. The manager of the CP pays a lot of attention to the cleanliness of the site and the sufficient sanitary facilities available. Cleaning is carried out 3 times a day.

The access road is narrow and two-way traffic is not possible. The tap water tastes salty, but you shouldn't drink it in Sicily anyway. The love game of the pigeons.
For a quiet and relaxing vacation with friendly people
I spent 4 weeks on the CP in May and June. During this time I attended an Italian course in Syracuse. I really enjoyed my time on the campsite, especially the peace and quiet. The friendliness of the Sicilians is proverbial anyway, and I can only confirm that. The campsite is mainly frequented by Swiss,... Dutch and Germans at this time of year. Most of them are still real campers who don't need a private bathroom :). There were also a few Italians and French.

My overall rating is very good, which of course relates to my personal experience. Of course, the site cannot stand up to comparison with campsites in D, AU, F, H or even northern countries.

The kiosk with mini store has potential for improvement. There are plenty of shops in Avola, about 4 km away. You should buy tap water for coffee and brushing your teeth. 2 liters approx. 20 €Ct.

The access road to the campsite is very narrow and you have to be considerate, as oncoming traffic is impossible. However, this was never a problem during the 4 weeks. The number of vehicles using the road is manageable.

The campsite is of course also suitable as a starting point for visits to Syracuse and Noto. If you have a motorized two-wheeler with you (I had my motorcycle with me), the radius naturally expands considerably.

Another tip for all motorhome and WW drivers: Don't trust any navigation system. Look at the map. I've seen people who were close to a nervous breakdown. The navigation system had led them over tiny pass roads. So watch out!!!

Small and friendly
Nice, small campsite with only a few pitches, which is already well frequented even in May. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained, and the cleaning lady is constantly looking after the cleanliness throughout the day. We particularly liked the spacious showers, each with a separate coin-operated... machine. If you run out of hot water, you can simply throw in a coin without having to leave the shower. The coins are available daily from reception at no extra cost. Very friendly and helpful operators, small mini-market with the essentials. Nice bar / café / restaurant on site. Beach very nice and only a stone's throw away. Only complaint: the pitches are very small. We couldn't set up our Wowa awning due to lack of space. Top price/performance - we would love to come back.

Super friendly
This campsite exudes charm! Lovingly maintained and yet very close to nature! We wanted to stay 3 or 4 days... it became 10 😜

Small but cozy
The campground is small but cozy and clean. The tent pitches are large enough and the toilet building clean. The campground is located a very short distance from the sea. There is also a really good bar/hot plate service! The staff is really nice and makes you feel at home.

Zacatkem cervence jsem objevil pobliz Syrakusy smerem na Avolu kemping Sabbia d^Oro a tak jsem se tam na jednu noc ubytoval.Vecer jsem se po navratu z vyletu s hruzou dozvedel,ze uz je pozde(22,30h)a nemohu s autem do kempu.Tudiz jsem prespal v aute a rano zaplatil 23,5eur za stan ve kterem jsem nespal.Tak... jsem to tem ZLODEJUM zaplatil a rychle prchal z toho "kriminalu.Zakaz mluvit nahlas po 22h az do 08 rano,zakaz vjizdet autem a nahlas pouzivat prijimace atd.Rano na zachod vylozene po spickach jinak na vas vybehne manzelka majitele at nerusite ostatni.Me hodnoceni je minus 5*****.O kilometr blize smerem k Syrakuse jsem objevil dalsi kemp a uz jsem v nem zustal po dobu cervence az koncem zari.Cena polovicni oproti tem gaunerum predtim,majitele super a ochotni ke vsem klientum,vynikajici kuchyne a pizzerie,proste pocit domaciho kempu a prostredi.Seznamil jsem se tam se super lidma z cele evropy a pristi rok tam uz planujeme nove setkani.Vrele doporucuji vsem spravnym cestovatelum a dobrodruhum.Dale zdravim ZAHORAKY a zase nekdy priste.Posilam vsem znamym pozdrav a hodne slunce do Ceska a vsude jinde.Ciao Pietro.
