- Thean V.June 2019PozitivaOn beach in woodsNegativaLoud people until late in eveningCampsite at beach under pine treesNice campsite in woods, directly at beach. Loud music until late in the evenings. Also in off-season already. Reasonably quiet in beginning June. Completely stacked in high season with Italian families who build up caravans, tents, kitchens and their own yard with fences and all. In June sanitary facilities are very clean. Beach well maintained. Would recommend in off-season.
- Susann S.September 2018PozitivaHuge, well-maintained beach.NegativaKaraoke nights...Huge facility, pleasant in the low seasonWe were on the site in September, which was only 25% full. With an ADAC camping card, a €16 pitch with electricity was fine. Nevertheless, there was still the worst pensioner karaoke almost every day until well after midnight. The beach was already empty and well maintained. Several sanitary buildings,... top clean, simple, functional. I had loaded a washing machine and sent it off. But the machine was broken, there was hardly any water in the drum and then nothing worked at all. We had sunk our last change and detergent into it. Reception and management sent technicians immediately, I got my money back and detergent so that we could wash with another machine without any problems. They speak English and German. The pizzeria is ugly and uncomfortable in my opinion, but the pizzas and pasta are plentiful, tasty and reasonably priced. WLAN only near the reception. Good starting point for excursions in the surrounding area, but you need a car.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Sylvia P.July 2017PozitivaCozy, shady, right by the sea, ACSI until mid-July, quiet, everything you need is thereNegativaquite simple, hot water consumed in the eveningTypical southern Italian place for not too high demandsFor the time being: We had planned to stay 2 days just passing through, but ended up staying 6. The site is quite large and is mostly located in a tall pine forest directly on the sandy/pebble beach. It's quite a way from the reception to the front of the campsite. In July, it's very easy to find a nice... spot right by the sea or a little further back in the shade. At first, the campsite seems a little gloomy, which is due to the shade provided by the dense pine forest, and there are not many flowers, which transform most campsites in northern Italy into visual paradises. However, the site is kept clean and tidy. The sanitary buildings are cleaned and scrubbed quite thoroughly several times a day. Personally, I have never seen the washbasins, including tiles and fittings, actually being scrubbed with cleaner and Scotchbrite every day. Instead, you can see the simplest fittings and replaced tiles. You can see exactly where a pipe or toilet had to be replaced in the sanitary building - you suddenly find different tiles there. In the showers - on one side the old ones, opposite the new showers. They both work. The only thing I noticed was that the hot water ran out later in the evening, although you have to bear in mind that the Italians get ready for dinner much later than we do north of the main Alpine ridge. So either take a shower before the big rush, or be prepared to cool off or shower in the mobile home. You can always wash your dishes in the immediate vicinity of the pitches - beware, as is typical in southern Italy, only cold water is available here. Barbecuing on the pitch should not be directly prohibited, but due to the dryness in midsummer and the many pine needles, I think that you should use the specially provided barbecue areas with charcoal. The campsite is well supplied: small, well-stocked supermarket and butcher on site. The fishmonger was there every day. There is also a fairly decent restaurant, as well as a simple but cozy beach bar. There is also entertainment, but as it takes place near the reception, we hardly noticed anything. We usually went to the small village (to the right of the campsite) for small errands, where there are two really excellent butchers, groceries, a household goods store, a kind of DM, and a little further on the other side of the SS116 a shopping center with Interspar. If you want the flair of a seaside resort, drive about 5 km further (partly on the cycle path) to the next village and you'll find everything you need for a seaside resort. Speaking of bathing: The permanent campers set up their parasols on the beach, and that's where they stay. Nevertheless, you can always find a nice spot. The water is not as shallow as you are used to on a sandy beach and you will soon find yourself in the deeper waters of the crystal-clear Ionian Sea. There is a lifeguard. In strong winds or when there is a bad weather front in the mountains, there can be very high waves and dangerous currents, even in summer. Swimming is then prohibited. We felt very comfortable on our pitch almost on the beach in July (which is still low season) because of the peace and quiet.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Dieter R.May 2014Pozitivabeautiful locationNegativaVery unkempt bungalows and mobile homes. Washrooms dirty or partially closedBeautiful place with major flawsWe stayed at this place for 3 weeks. From the beginning of May 14, never again. Apart from the brown water that spoiled our showers in the morning, to the dirty bugalows. We rented a bungalow and moved into a mobile home after 2 days. The bungalow had not been cleaned, but we had the hair of the previous... owner in the bathroom. The shower curtain was a blue garbage bag with holes. The Zagara mobile home was filthy, the accessories were incomplete and the bedroom was flooded when we showered. All reported defects were dismissed by the German site management with the comment "Kalabriches Verhältnisse". No store was open. The beach was filled in with sand, bathing was only possible after climbing. In the third week, the beach was leveled with a bulldozer. Unfortunately, there was no other place available at short notice within a 10-kilometer radius. We were the only guests in the mobile homes, why? But when the permanent campers occupied and set up their pitches at the end of May, the conditions were adjusted accordingly. The restaurant was only open from 6pm for 2 hours. There were the same 2 menus every day. No choice. Service very friendly, unfortunately only Italian. This is not how you imagine a vacation.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Lothar B.May 2013A large space under trees by the sea. Very friendly and helpful staff. However, the sanitary facilities are quite old and not very clean. Otherwise highly recommended.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Sabine G.August 2010First of all: we love this place. This is the 6th time we've been there this year. Lots of locals, almost only Italians, German management. Very shady campsite with sufficient & clean sanitary facilities (including plenty of washing machines), spacious pitches, located right by the sea. There is entertainment... for children and adults, unfortunately only in Italian, perhaps not enough action for teenagers :) There is a football pitch and a tennis court. There are many excursion possibilities in the surrounding area (we highly recommend the 'Grotta della Ninfe' thermal baths. On the campsite there is a small supermarket, a greengrocer, a butcher and a restaurant. A mobile fishmonger comes by twice a week. All in all, the campsite is very quiet - unless you are there the week around August 15, when there are about 3 times as many holidaymakers as before or after (August 15 = national holiday).Automaticky přeloženo.
