- Matthias B.May 2024PozitivaVery nice pitches, very nice operators.NegativaSanitary facilities are very rustic.Nice, small placeThe pitches are nice and large and mostly surrounded by hedges. As the site is not very large, everything is very informal. The operators are super friendly and everything is very uncomplicated. Only the sanitary facilities need modernizing. But somehow they also have their charm. You won't find glamping on the site. It's still real camping here.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Hagen F.September 2021PozitivaThe spontaneous telephone registration was friendly and worked wonderfully. The site is idyllically situated in a park-like area, surrounded by a stream and a former moat. Many tall trees provide shade on hot days.NegativaOn other days, however, it appears dark, as there is no deliberate lighting. Some other areas would also benefit from a new "coat of paint": the gloomy reception, some sanitary facilities from the 1960s (meticulously clean!), the "creative" installation of too few power and water connections, the unreliable hot water supply (shower included in the price), the barrier, which is awkward to open with a combination lock. The lack of a bread roll service and the lack of WiFi away from reception are just minor issues. What was really annoying for us, however, was the weekday background noise of the detour route, which at least temporarily runs right alongside the campsite. The charm of days gone byMy summary: a place with potential, but unfortunately currently mediocre at best.Automaticky přeloženo.
- S. E.July 2019Perfect place for hot daysThe island location creates a pleasant microclimate on the site, which makes the stay bearable even in extreme heat. There is also a covered swimming pool on the site.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Alfred K.October 2018PozitivaGood location for activities Cleanliness and friendliness Proximity to natureNegativaPoor pricing policy. Single travelers pay the same as two people.Small natural squareThe groundsman's reception is friendly. He shows you around the site and gives you tips about the location. Some of the sanitary facilities are not the newest, but they are clean and fully functional, and that's what counts. Unfortunately, the number is very limited and in the season there is likely... to be a hub and contact point. The pitches are limited. There is no free meadow. The pitch has no paving. In wet weather it is good to have a pair of shoes for outside. The electricity boxes are somewhat sparse. A long cable may be needed. In the early hours of the morning I heard the sounds of the nearby road and railroad. I chose the site because it was conveniently located for the planned activities. The Lüneburg Heath Wildlife Park and the Schwarze Berge Wildlife Park are about 40 minutes away by car, and Hanburg and Lüneburg can be reached in an hour. A visit including a ride on the Tister Moorbahn is highly recommended. During the day you can sit by the wagon and relax. The hedges provide natural protection. I found the pricing policy, which starts at two people, to be negative. Single travelers are not taken into account and pay the same price as two people. That's not cool for a "cool campsite". I deduct an extra point for this.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Reinhard W.August 2018PozitivaVery beautifully situatedNegativano real disadvantage givenVery pleasantA small but very nice site. However, the sanitary facilities are absolutely outdated. A "pool" has been built. However, it looks more like a water trough than a swimming pool. However, this does not detract from the good overall impression of the site.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Monika K.August 2018Beautiful, idyllic location where dogs are also welcomeThe friendly groundsman passionately explains not only what to expect and what options are available, but also the history of the beautifully situated course. Everything is relaxed and very clean. A lounge with fridge, microwave and TV is available around the clock. And the highlight: a heated small... swimming pool with a wooden roof and enclosed on three sides. You can see the beautiful trees as you swim! Opposite, spacious shower facilities and san. Facilities. There is also a washing machine and a drying room. The prices are very reasonable. We will definitely be back!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Florian O.July 2018PozitivaRelaxed atmosphere, friendly welcome, quiet place, biogas-heated swimming pool (admittedly a little older)NegativaNo entertainment program, few attractions for childrenUnwind in paradiseThe groundsman welcomes you in a very friendly manner and explains and shows you around the whole site. There are no rules, but a totally relaxed atmosphere. The village is just around the corner and offers restaurants, a supermarket, bakery and petrol station. As a cyclist or pedestrian, you can camp in "Paradise", an absolutely quiet area where cars are not allowed.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Peter S.June 2018PozitivaQuiet and beautifully situated.NegativaEntrance can be easily overlooked. However, turning facilities are available.Nature campingVery nice place with old trees. Very clean sanitary facilities. Anyone who loves nature is in good hands here. Bremen and Hamburg can be reached by train every hour. Train station not far away. Very friendly and helpful campsite warden. In the early and late season the reception is only manned for a short time. I could imagine staying on the site for more than just a few days. Swimming pool available and clean.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Joachim H.July 2017NegativaCash payment onlyNice place, nicely laid out, very nice careWe were there with a group of 13 people to go canoeing. We were given a large pitch, surrounded by hedges, we weren't disturbed and (hopefully) didn't disturb anyone. I have never before experienced a place where the groundsman took me on a short tour and showed me around. As it was raining, we were able to use the recreation room for breakfast together. Then there were also tips on beautiful canoe routes. More than 5 stars for the service!!!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Arnd S.May 2017Feeling goodA campsite with everything you need, very suitable for transit or a few days to relax. Idyllic location, beautiful old trees, several hundred years old. The sanitary facilities are extremely clean and well maintained. The pool has a certain charm, is heated and covered. Should be used. It should be emphasized... that there are no prohibition signs (except dogs on a leash). This conveys the impression all the more: Come and feel at home. To the groundsman: Respect. You rarely find people like that.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Wolfgang F.May 2017PozitivaTrees, hedges, directly next to stream and watercourse Quiet and tranquil from the eveningNegativaMosquitoes, if you can blame them on the pitch...Campsite radiates peace and quietBeautiful site, also nicely situated, nestled in a charming landscape. Large pitches, mostly separated by hedges. Friendly and helpful groundsman. The campsite exudes peace and tranquillity.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Jodocus J.July 2015Nice place, but not very quiet! The campsite is located on the edge of the village on an old castle island, surrounded by the moats of the castle that burned down many years ago. The location is actually really beautiful, there are old trees, lots of shade, high hedges separate large plots from each other. The couple who run the campsite,... themselves permanent campers for over 40 years, are very helpful and friendly. The sanitary facilities are from the 70s and are accordingly "nice", but clean. There is a solar-heated swimming pool and a small playground. BUT: unfortunately, the site is not quiet at all; it's rather conveniently located, to put it kindly. Within earshot and surrounded by the railroad, the B75 and a busy through road, this site is probably only quiet for those who live directly on the Ruhr expressway. In addition, there are no shops or kiosks on site and the distances to the power points are sometimes so long (more than 30 meters) that only borrowed cable extensions can bring the fridge to life. Conclusion: Not for people looking for peace and quiet in the sense of "little traffic noise"; but fine for a stopover, perhaps in conjunction with a canoe trip on the Wümme or a visit to Rotenburg, 14 km away.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Maren S.May 2015PozitivaGreat friendliness, easy access to the cities of Bremen and Hamburg by trainNegativaPossibly too few showers when fully occupiedVery idyllic, great locationWe spent two nights on the pitch. The reception was very friendly, the owners are helpful and uncomplicated. We felt welcome and would love to come back!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Gerd R.October 2014PozitivaEverything you need to relaxNegativaSome things are in need of renovation and this place is also worth itThe CP must live onIdyllic location with everything you need close by. Very courteous and helpful management. We will be back!!! Greetings from the NordlichtertreffenAutomaticky přeloženo.
- Oliver K.August 2013Quiet campsite nestled in an old park landscape directly on the Wümme cycle path. Fantastic location between individual arms of water and islands. Simple but clean sanitary facilities. Very reasonably priced, ideal for cyclists and a super friendly welcome from the Count himself!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Hinz F.May 2013We had a great rest.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Timo W.April 2011A cozy, small campsite with beautiful old trees for those looking for a quiet campsite. But there are also plenty of leisure activities in the immediate vicinity. A special tip is the canoe trip on the Wümme!!! The sanitary facilities are old but OK. When the place is full, the showers, which are only available once, are a bit cramped... A small, covered pool can be used in summer to cool off.Automaticky přeloženo.
