"nice place for a seaside vacation - We visited this place in July 2019 for 6 nights. We received a friendly welcome. The pitch is a bit larger and was also fully occupied. Mixed nationalities. To our surprise also some German vacationers. We had booked a Comfort pitch near the sports field. The pitch is not huge, but a bit bigger than the others. Water and waste water available at the pitch. We hadn't had that anywhere else in France. But there is a construction company next door. The operator makes no secret of it, but you have to know that. It gets louder sometimes. But our children are up early anyway. The pool is good. The sports field is nice and big. We don't have our own restaurant. Only pre-ordered bread in the morning. Every now and then a food truck comes and you can order something in advance. But there are also lots of options in the surrounding area. The sanitary facilities are also good. We liked the fact that there was soap for washing your hands. The campsite is not that close to the sea. It's more for bikes or cars. To the north is the beach of Messanges and to the south that of Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains. Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains is rather large, noisy and touristy. If you like it... We only went to the beach in the evening. The sea is very beautiful at both beaches. But I can only advise you to go swimming in the guarded part (e.g. Messanges). The current and waves are sometimes very strong. But it's fun! The bread at the campsite is ok, but the bread at Le Fournil de L'Olivier in Moliets-et-Maa (to the north) is much better. There is a very nice cycle path leading there (a former railroad line). As I said, the site is not small, but the other sites nearby are much larger. Or not close to the sea. We prefer it quiet and therefore looked for a smaller site. We would come again.

"nice place without animation - Nice place near the beach (bicycle recommended), the SuperU and the nice (tourist) village "Vieux Beaucoup" are nearby, many other towns nearby and the Pyrenees are ideal for excursions. The campsite is simple and practical, there is a swimming pool and good sanitary facilities, the owners are very friendly. A pizza van comes once or twice a week, otherwise there is no restaurant or entertainment on the site. The Atlantic Ocean (including this beach) may not be suitable for small children due to the high waves and currents. We were at the back of the campsite, where you can sometimes hear the animation from the giant campsite next door and the excavators in the nearby gravel works in the morning. For us (we don't like animation), this was the campsite with the best price/performance ratio in the area

"Place behind the dunes in the forest. Friendly welcome. - Nice quiet place under trees. Complicated access from the highway. Swimming pool in the complex. Less suitable as a transit site. Ideal for surfers.

" - Very good value for money, very clean sanitary facilities, but could be more at peak times. Super U nearby. It's a good idea to have a bike with you for the beach and for shopping. Another advantage is that the site is shaded by deciduous trees rather than pine trees. I would go there again!

Between shade, light, space and hospitality! Discover the Camping de La Côte **** in a protected site between the forest and the ocean in Messanges on the south coast of Landes. Marilys and Bernard are happy to welcome you for …your holidays as a couple, family or group of friends on their family and quiet campsite. Everything is nearby by bike or on foot: 1 km from the Atlantic Ocean, 600 m from the Vélodyssée cycle path, 1.5 km from Vieux Boucau Port d'Albret, a welcoming village with all kinds of shops and leisure activities, and 2 km from the small rural town of Messanges. After a day of sightseeing or sporting activities, you can relax in the swimming pool or have a massage in the (heated) jacuzzi; the little ones can play in the paddling pool, which is also heated. Our campsite offers 158 pitches on 3.5 hectares in Landes. Experience the quality of our accommodation: modern and very well equipped mobile homes with 2 to 3 bedrooms or large level pitches, marked out and shaded for a successful holiday. Our pitches with electricity (6 or 10 A) and our packages for maximum comfort (electricity 10 A and water supply) allow you to take advantage of the campsite's leisure facilities and services as you wish. Discover the advantages of a campsite with an aqua park to enjoy a swim with your family or friends before conquering the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, which is very close to your pitch. You will find a small grocery shop on the pitch: Bread, pastries, groceries, local products, ice cream, drinks to go. During the season, take-away ready meals: Pizza, moules frites, chicken, etc.
