- Klaus P.červenec 2023Pozitivagreat bay, shady spotsNegativaexpensive, loud, dirty, unfriendlyMore shadow than lightThe campsite is located in a wonderful bay, right on the beach. It offers plenty of shady spots under tall pine trees. There are no pitches: You just pitch yourself anywhere.
The latter has advantages, but also disadvantages, even when it's not full: Last year there were plenty of free spaces and yet... three young men pitched their tent right next to ours and from then on only drank pastis.
To be honest, the sanitary facilities in the nicer part at the back are a disaster: Dirty, outdated, flushing right next to the toilets, hardly any hot water in the evenings.
But the place is very expensive ... and the operators are astonishingly unfriendly: you have to pay close attention to what they charge at the end. There are good reasons why you can only pay when the car or motorhome is packed and ready to leave at the barrier ...Automaticky přeloženo. - Richard M.září 2022PozitivaAccessibility of Calvi and Ile Rousse by train. Algojala with restaurant, bakery and supermarket within walking distance (1km)NegativaHigh priceSpace under tall treesLarge pitch consisting of 2 parts. One is mainly made up of 20m high pine trees and offers a lot of shade and is not on the road, the second is mainly planted with deciduous trees and offers less shade in places. In September, the pitch was occupied by around 15 units. Restaurant closed and from October... 1st the shop closed too
Beautifully designed, clean sanitary facilities. Lovingly designed pool and children's playground. The passenger train between Calvi and Ile Rousse, which also has a stop in front of the campsite, runs between the wide sandy beach and the campsite.Automaticky přeloženo. - Kade H.říjen 2021PozitivaVery nice beach, beautiful old pine trees.NegativaThe sanitary facilities were not exactly clean, the sinks are in the toilet room, the train is annoying. Not necessarily clean and expensiveThe pitches under very old pine trees are really nice, only a few meters to the sea is not bad either, but the sanitary facilities urgently need to be cleaned more thoroughly. Washing the dishes in the smelly toilet isn't exactly a hit either. And the train with the stop right in front of the campsite is annoying. The most expensive campsite on our Kosika tour to boot. We will look for an alternative next time.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Ka T.červenec 2018PozitivaLocation to the beach, comparatively cheap for the Côte d'Azur, beach not overcrowded (end of July!), clean sanitary facilitiesNegativaVery loud near the streetGreat campsite without frillsHave been on the pitch for 4 days and would like to stay longer. Arrived late in the evening after 10pm and were allocated a pitch close to the road by the security night shift with the option to ask the regular reception staff for a quieter pitch in the morning. Perfectly ok for one night, although... really loud (thanks to the moped and Harley riders...). The security staff were all super friendly, and luckily one of them could also speak very good English. The next morning we went to reception on the beach side and luckily got a nice pitch much further up in the forest. You hardly notice the road noise, the circuses are louder 😉 The pitches for caravans and motorhomes are very large on the forest side, many campers have awnings, sun sails and pavilions. Plus trailers, cars,... You can choose how many amps of electricity you need at check-in - we opted for 10 as a precaution and everything works. You can get drinking water at the wash houses. Have only seen two of them so far and they were old in terms of equipment, but clean! The toilets have toilet seats, but you have to take toilet paper and soap with you. The individual wash cubicles each have a tap for hot and cold water. The showers can be operated permanently, no push button or similar. The temperature was also easy to set. The playground is more for kindergarten children. The prices in the supermarket and at the restaurant or take-away snack bar at the back are moderate and definitely cheaper than next door at Le Prairies de la mer. Some of the pitches on the forest side are quite sloping, so you should have wheel chocks etc. with you! We can't assess what the situation is like on the beach side of the site. Definitely sunnier! Only criticism: the sinks for dishes are very low! If you have small children, you should also choose a pitch far away from the road, otherwise they could simply run onto it. The path over to the beach side leads through a short tunnel where taller people have to duck. Depending on the traffic situation, you can quickly reach the large supermarket "Geant Casino" by car, where you can get practically EVERYTHING. Occasionally, however, you can expect to see beggars in the parking lot. Many thanks to the super nice staff (especially Maya and Verena at reception)!Automaticky přeloženo.
- Michael B.květen 2018PozitivaBeach, narrow-gauge railroad, restaurants, pizzerias. Hiking opportunities on the coast or in the Balagne region. Beautiful, open and shady placesNegativaMain road on the inside. Supermarket and pizzeria on the square expensive.versatile, well-located campsite between Calvi and I'le RousseBack on the site after a 4-year break in Corsica. There is now a new car wash in the front area, which further enhances the site.Automaticky přeloženo.
- christine b.září 2017Pozitivacampsite locationNegativavery old mobile homes, cleanliness leaves much to be desired too much shade, in September it's borderline, some tree branches could be cut backvery old campsite with outdated mobile homesReception and store ok, beware we keep your ID card Old-fashioned campsite, rustic mobile home, and not very clean on arrival, this campsite is completely shaded, not a ray of sunshine, The advantage is that it is well placed for visiting the surrounding area The beach which at first is an advantage, turns out to be very windy waves so surfersAutomaticky přeloženo.
- Barbara E.srpen 2017PozitivaLocation BeachNegativaNoiseGreat locationThe location of the Campei is great, nice shady pitches. We were there at the end of August 2017, unfortunately there was always a party on the beach at night, so it was really loud, we didn't sleep through the nightAutomaticky přeloženo.
- Andreas G.červen 2017PozitivaGreat location, lots of shadeNegativaSanitary not so greatLots of shade, great locationWe (2Ew/2 Ki) were on the CP with our caravan in June 2017. We were able to choose our pitch ourselves. There was still plenty of space on the CP in mid-June. The location is good, right on the beautiful beach, but due to the railway line that runs between the campsite and the beach, there is no direct... view of the sea. The site is very shady, except for the pitches closest to the beach. There is a bar and a great restaurant on the beach itself. The water gets deep quickly, and due to a constantly strong wind, there were strong waves almost all the time, so we didn't find the campsite very suitable for small children. A few hundred meters further towards Algajola there is a surf school and a surf rental shop. However, the area is more suitable for advanced surfers and kiters due to the strong winds. The wind was already an issue for us. We also had to provide proper wind protection on the campsite and the beach was rather windy all days of our stay, but very bearable despite the 30 degree temperatures. The location right next to the village of Algajola (10 min walk) and between Calvi and L'ill Rousse, which can be easily reached by train and are really worth seeing, is very nice. There are some attractive excursion destinations in the surrounding area, so you can easily spend a few days here.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Andreas W.červenec 2016PozitivaFriendly staff. Clean and modern sanitary facilities. Close to the beach. Good location for a trip to Calvi.NegativaCould not find anything.A good choiceDe la Plage campsite was our first stop on our 2016 round trip to Corsica. The campsite was still very quiet at the end of June/beginning of July. Barely a quarter of the available pitches were occupied. The reception at the campsite was very friendly. One member of staff was from Germany, which of course... made communication much easier. The campsite is not parceled out. The ground consists of sandy soil and dry grass. The large trees provide pleasant shade. There is a small supermarket in front of the reception where you can buy everything you need. The prices are typically high for the country. There is also a restaurant on site, but we didn't try it out. The sanitary facilities were very modern and colorful by Corsican standards. We could not complain about a lack of cleanliness. Everything was fine. The beach can be reached quickly via the train tracks and a road. The sandy beach slopes very steeply into the water, but the water was crystal clear and clean. A trip on the old train to Calvi is highly recommended. We were very happy with the campsite and can only recommend it.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Hannes W.červen 2015PozitivaEnough space, modern power supply and easily accessible from every pitch. Clean sanitary facilities, friendlinessNegativaSometimes late in the evening party noises from the beachGood, tidy place with nice operatorsThere are both older and new modern sanitary facilities. The site is only separated from a fine beach by a (small) railroad. Algajola can be reached on foot within 10 minutes. You can board the small train directly at the campsite and travel to Calvi, I le Rousse or simply to the nearest small bayAutomaticky přeloženo.
- Frank T.červen 2014PozitivaClose to the beachNegativaOutdated mobile phone supplyPlace on the beachA somewhat outdated campsite, right on the beautiful beach. All you have to do is cross the "Blue Elias" train tracks and you have the sea in front of you. The train stop is right next to the campsite. Don't worry, it's just a rail bus that runs between Calvi and Il`Rousse during the day. You can walk... to Algajola in about 10 minutes. The site is not parceled out and is dominated by tall pine trees. The sanitary blocks are outdated but clean. It has to be said about the disposal of mobile homes that an investment is urgently needed here. The reception is very friendly. There is a restaurant on the site that supposedly serves the best pizza in Corsica. Well, I know better and cheaper ones in Corsica! The place is good for a nice beach vacation if you don't want luxury.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Lodda G.srpen 2013Ideal for motorhomes, as there is a train stop right next to the C-pitch for traveling to Calvi or Ill Rousse. As there is often wind in the bay, the site is popular with surfers. Beautiful sandy beach, often a party in the town in the evening.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Daniel W.září 2012Nice place with nice pitches, despite the late travel date there was all the necessary food even in October in the supermarket, we like to go there again.
Great beach which is only 100m away, beautiful bays, great nature simply fantastic. The sanitary facilities are basic and not always really clean, so no 5 stars. Otherwise an absolute recommendation and always worth a trip.Automaticky přeloženo.
- Birgit K.červenec 2010Beautiful, level site with smaller and larger partials. Directly behind the Balagne railroad line, with its own station. You only have to cross the narrow tracks to get to the beach. Very spacious beach with nice surf, but not suitable for non-swimmers. The 2 medium-sized sanitary facilities were moderately clean, but no waiting times in high season. Supermarket and pizzeria on the premises. The prices were ok.Automaticky přeloženo.
